you don't have to , they are relabeled and we already have a pic but can not figure it out

I don't know why they're so expensive right now (should be $150-160) but I'm working on getting these OCZ Platinum Rev 2s up to 500MHz (DDR2-1000) 5-5-5-15 stable. 490 is completely doable at max EVP 2.2V, 560 can run Memtest at 2.4V but gets errors (have to work on subtimings/settings). Hell even 580 POSTs and runs Memtest but that maxes out my CPU so no 300 :(. Which is weird since the last set I had did not respond to voltage at all, and crapped out at 460 @ 2.1V.
150-160$ is the price range for value series and gold , those meant to run @ specs but not for hardcore OC any way what mobo you are using , from what i have seen 550 Cas4 is doable with P5B-
they should be GMH and the price is in the acceptable range for a ram with custom cooling
Although these aren't 2GB, I feel the need to share...
1GB Kit of Ballistix 667 3-3-3-12 for only $105.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146568
I'm ordering them real soon
I never ended up getting those OCZ Alphas when they were on sale for only $299 because I decided I'm pretty happy with my Cellshocks. Plus I've been considering getting a 1GB kit of something decent for benching, like you said above Kemo some 1GB kits are great for high-voltage fun! There seems to be some debate on the newer batch of Corsairs 8000UL that newegg had last week (now sold out) about what IC's the kits are actually using. In anycase most of the great 1GB kits are cheap, cheap, cheap and will clock like crazy!
Kemo do you currenlty have any 1GB kits your playing with, if so what kind of results have you been getting?
Thanks anyway Kemo!
i wanna find some nice 2x512 kit of D9 fatbodies.
3-2-2 benching seems like it'd be fun :)
i can't believe i missed out on the 8000UL's :( 1GB kit for $90 bucks.
I can't get the darn thing to load but I just think I saw Crucials 10th Anniversary sticks for sale there (light blue heatspreaders with the same logo on them) except this kit is 3-3-3-x? I'll keep trying and post the linky when it loads! I thought they were done and gone? Yep I'll be dammed, they do indeed have Crucial 2GB Anniversary kit for sale at the moment for $269.99 and there are 10kits left at the moment (3-22-07 10:30pm EST)! Better get them while you can guys, I wish I didn't just purchase an Asus P5B as I most likey would have gotten this kit instead!
you mean newegg :) would be nice to mention vendor in your post :)
They are nice but again if they die and you try to RMA, you're SOL and they'll give you ballistix 5300 in place of them.
Guess they're still celebrating over at Crucial's.

OMG I SEE THEM!!!!! Can't order until tomorrow... PLEASE DON'T GO OUT OF STOCK!
Are these better than my alphas? Everyone seems to want them. My alphas don't look half as cool as i thought they would. they were quite scratched and non color changing like the ones in the reviews. I think they paint them differently now. Not a big deal but still.
Actually I don't see them being that great of a deal anymore... The reason why they were originally so incredible was because they were so cheap ($219.99 I remember sticking out) at the time when the next cheapest D9's were going for over $300. They also overclock better than your average D9's...
Term are your alphas GKX or GMH?
GMH, i was lucky enough to see through the hs.
Few nice deals from TigerDirect
247$ OCZ 2GB PC28000 Titanium Alpha VX2
205$ OCZ 2GB PC6400 Titanium
240$ 2GB PC6400 Crucial Ballistix
Thanks for the heads up guys everything is updated in the first post , people like the 10th anny because Crucial mentioned that they are handpicked , not more not less , any way the Buffalo PC6400 back for 165$
@ TeRm do you look inside your case :stick:
Oh yeah, it probably would have been a good idea to mention the vendor in my post, lol! I just had a brain fart! Well the prices keep coming down guys, the GSKill PC2-6400 2GBHZ's are just a tad over $200 now! This is a good time to buy new memory I think, unless all these price reductions mean something (like DDR3 is about to get released but I don't think so)!
for OCZ and G.SKill it is hard to get any lower , may be will see something from Corsair , and the HZ used to have a 30$ promo but just got expired , those price reductions means high supply low demand , people either loaded with C2D or waiting for K10 and yes DDR3 are about to be released but will take some time to find good ICs for OC
I think Micron has their DDR3 just about ready...
It's very strange that newegg will put up more 10th anniversary every few weeks with a very small amount for sale... Usually they sell out within hours.
Kemo any idea what the Geil PC6400 3-3-3-8 have under the hood? I know just about all of their high end kits are running D9GCT now but what about these?
could be a loser we don't know yetQuote:

some of the high end use GMH and some GCT so that should be the same but mostly GMHQuote:

I would be pretty suprised if prices continue to drop like they have been, some of these modules are $100 less than they were just a couple months ago!
