I wouldn't laugh at all this funny DVI stuff yet. Something funny's definitely going on here. I got an Accelero today and stuck my NV6200 in so I could have PC on while working with 19XT. After doing so, I could not post w/ OC settings. It would reset bus back to 266 unless I put my 19XT back in. Oddest thing...maybe a reset to bios might help, eh? Anyway, the 19XT's back in and things are peachy.

Need info on how good is S3 for overclocking. Anyone ?
I'm using the DS3 w/ Final F4 bios.
My video card is also DVI (ATI X1800XT), and it is running stable on air with my E6400@3.44.
Maybe you need to try Final F4 instead of F4e. When I used F4e, I got the problem w/ cold boot.

latest final BIOS for ds4 is F3...latest beta BIOS for ds4 is F4b

I'm oncve again tesing 311x9 = 2.8GHz...even that is not stable, i have to keep adding voltage to the VCORE to make it stable, while leaving the FSB and MCH voltages to default.
Even the memory which once only need 2.1V to boot now needs 2.3V, i am very very unhappy with the DQ6, it has been a nightmare.

I can also get 3.3ghz (367FSB) but I need 1.425V and I don't like the temps (coretemp hovering around 60), so 3.2 will do me, maybe if I get some watercooling.....still, this is stable and fast enough for me
Oh and also, I have used alot of these DQ6 BIOS', none have made any real difference to me (F3e, F3g, F3 final, F4a, F4c), all of them pretty much perform the same. I still can't get a 400FSB. Tested my memory at 1000mhz with lose timings, no worries.....FSB/CPU I guess..

Latest E6600 - Got it yesterday and just tried 350. Booted at first try and its rock stable.
Between the 2 E6600 didnt change a single setting.
Where is the problem here? Not the board as I see it. Some CPUs are very limited in OCing.
If you can raise the FSB in windows, how is the CPU limited? If the chip will still OC using software OCing tools = board needs some tweaking.Quote:

Yes, though it appears they are still working on it. In the past on older ichxr chipsets, you would only see the RAID BIOS in this config. Right now I get the AHCI BIOS, gives SMART errors on the hdd's, then the RAID BIOS loads and lists my array as it normally would.Quote:
