:D
It's not a golden chip, though. I guess 37xx is possible on dice. Too hard coldbug, 365Mhz at 24c idle... Like my 170 BQ from way back;)

Opteron 190  What the hell its really ! Looks like air cooling..stepping ? I think 3.8 ghz will be broken with dice.
Didn't know such thing existed:eek:,very nice:up:
Any idea how many were made?
Also I dug out this 3200 that I keep for "backup",used to be an office
workhorse a few years back.Never pushed it anywhere.
cbbfd 0431upaw
any idea on it's "potential" ?
Some of you had these at 3.2ghz (guess amd was right about performance rating; in a way)
It's a Winchester, right? For winchesters, you want the CBBHD cpu's, those have close to no coldbug.
And Bruce ... you're insane :D
CAA2C 0506GPMW FX55 any good?
Hmmm....one of the latest clawhammers.... i dont think that it will be the burner....only ln2 will be the key.
I´m back !!!! k.i.h.
Will try more...
Hehe, which of my WR's did you get now?:p:
Edit: nvm, found out myself;) Need to dig my chip out of the mess again someday I think... But congrats! This will be a fight, as I have a feeling you're on the limit - and I THINK I can get a LITTLE more out of my chip - didn't risk too much the last time as I was afraid i might kill the poor thing:p: But if you can reach 3620 or so, I may have to look for a better one...;)
I could boot with more than 1.8 volts on that chip but it has a hard cold bug....354 mhz @ +9c and 357 mhz @ +10c...but when you think there is much place you arent right...the cpu will too hot with more than +11c... :(
What was your stepping ? LCBIE should be very fine...
BTT: tomorrow i will test my first X2 4600+ toledo :D will try to kick your score from throne .... should be possible...step is LCBIE 0628 CPMW. Whats yours ?
CCBIE 0608BPMW. Good luck with the 4600+, my score will be broken easily I think;) 3430Mhz on a 12 multi Toledo is quite poor - at least for a WR. I bet 3.6+ is possible with the right chip. Mine did 2800 @ 1.32v on air stable if I remember correctly - this was a LONG time ago. No idea why the 3800+'s 0608 are so much better htan the 4600+, I had 3 of them - and they all sucked.
Btw, I had an X2 3800+ LCBIE 0627TPMW once;) Did 2950 stable at 1.32v, but died during an IHS removal. No idea if it's better than your chip on air, not even sure it's better than my old WR chip. Just thought i'd mention that;)
Hehe right ;)
Here is the score with the toledo: 3587 mhz @ 1.712 volts ---> k.i.h. again !!!
Did 3180 mhz with default vcore cpu-z ( 1.312 v)....cold bug like the once above. had to do all scores with around +7 to +11c...
3.6 ghz will eventually possible but i had less time.
will do some superpi with that chip.
LCBIE will be my favorites in the future I love it....
Opteron 185, X2 3800+, X2 4600+ and other ones have that stepping.
Found an 3800+ Venice E3 0514 GPBW but it sucks very hard...less than 3.2 ghz by the way :D But this chip was cheap.
Knut i saw that you benched one Xeon intel processor ??? what was that ? are you going to intel ? :D
haha, very nice stunned :D
The Dark Side is very tempting, Knut. Do not let it control you :D
Nice score, and now i must go looking for a better one:p:
Yeah I bought a Xeon, but that's because I need it for my GPUs;) I have quite a few x1xxx ATI-cards, and geforce 6 + 7, and you need an Intel chip to get HWBoints with those.
Don't worry, I'm not going to the dark side just yet;) My friend in Germany is outside posting an AMD package FYI:D Wooo-hooo! I also found out they have a dice machine at the university over here. Maybe I'll go ask for some:)
What is the best stepping for FX-60 ? I thought 0608 BPMW and some 05XXX SPMW....what do you think ?
hehe nice one stunned! congratz....
you see that there is still action with me but i miss your scores gianni :(
holy...
I don't understand what those numbers interpreted...
but they looked amazing...:-P
Happy birthday to gianni-gt, the san diego master ;)
im sad that he will not doing some overclocking in the future....

This thread needs some form of revival. I want to see records falling :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIANNI!
thanks guys... ;)
from now on i'm not the fastest in superpi from switzerland anymore. :( cracked with a new quadcore....
http://www.overclocking-team-switzer...&postcount=201
I'm going to OC more, I just need a new board - or to fix one of old ones so both orange memory slots are working. I want some HWBoints for superpi etc etc, too - so I can't really use 1.7v++ when I'm doing suicides in chips that haven't been benched;) I wonder if the 156 scales with voltage... 1.63 was all it needed for 4g:D
Hehe...that 156 is huge !
The orange ram slots didnt work on my SLI-D..could only use the yellow ones. So i modded an Ultra-D to take superpi and so on....
The problem I have is that I spilled some dryice into the yellow and orange slots closest to the CPU. I think there is some dirt on some of the connections, at least neither of the slots are working. Acetone should do the trick, if it doesn't ruin both slots:p: I'll try the yellow one first;)
That was your Venus board right ? That is really hard :( My Venus is in my private pc so it will never dies :D
Imagine the time with 555MHz 3-3-3-9
That is a MONSTER of a 156, what's its max? :D
@ stunned: One of my Ultra D's orange slots don't work either, please let me know if you find a solution :( What mods did you do to your Ultra D for Pi? The only mods the board really needs are SLI and SATAII, neither of which benefit Pi. Unless NCQ or burst speed makes that much difference?
@ OJ101
I didnt mod my Ultra-D....only SuperPi Tweaks in BIOS and win thats all.
Btw: Congrats to teh X2 6000+ wr...thats really good with single stage.
4000+ clawhammer and another fx-60 are on way to me
You know the steppings?
Tried 2 0626FPMW's today. One was OK, other one sucked. 3rd chip I tried was another 0622EPMW, better than the 2 4000+'s, but not WR material;) I also have a 3700+, KABNE 0530MPM that I didnt test yet.
But now I have an AM2 mobo! DFI 790FX-M2R!:D Got to test those CPus soon, then;)
The same package also included an xfx 7900gs xxx - which didnt come in an anti-static bag. As a result, the core isnt stable on stock (600 Mhz). Seems stable at 480mhz ("vanilla" 7900gs frequency), so maybe I'll flash it and sell it;) My 6800gs 512mb arrived without anti-static as well. Didnt' seem stable at stock, either. And my 3rd non-anti static delivery was a total doa. 6800xt 512mb. At least the vf700-cu is still alive:rolleyes:
I dont know the step...will wait until it will arrives.
there were some potencial 4000+ in ebay this time...some 0626 fpmw and 0631 apmw...but i didnt bid on them. the price of that processors is going higher time to time...some 40 euro plus package isnt ok :(
you will leave socket 939 ? :(
He can't :(
I know:rolleyes: They're impossible to seel for more than 30-35 euro here, so way they're worth that much in Germany then (everything in Norway is quite expensive):p:
I won't leave 939. But my income makes it hard to go on like I did in the past;) And now I don't have a mobo that ha 2 orange slots that works... But I'll get another FX57 soon, and some AM2 stuff. And that's about it before Christmas I think:p: Maybe one chip here and there, but nothing big.
good luck on that on bruce :D
Come on lets give us some results...
For me there will be some special in the near future ! But i wont tell this now...later more to this :D
Did any of you ever see the thread started by join nbk on unlocking multipliers and disabled second cores? Late 2005. It was completely deleted in 2006.
why was it deleted?
Give me a site to host it and I'll upload a zipped file (just under 9mb) with the first 22 pages. I couldn't get the rest cause it was deleted while I was saving.
@ oj101
this 0548 bphw will sucks...i have here right now an 0548 bpiw but didnt test it yet this will be in the morning but i smell hard cold bug and less scores :D
@ knut
my suprise wont be an record
What's stock vcore on the 156? 3GHz at 1.35v would be awesome :D
Bump for my above post, I need a host.
It's 1.4v stock vcore. There are some chips with 1.35v stock vcore, but not many.
Here's a site. www.yousendit.com
Click
I forgot I could host it myself :D
thx bro... saved. :D
I'm monitoring my monthly bandwidth, it's been downloaded 5 times so far :D Come on guys, everyone download it, we can resurrect this :D
I saw thanks Knut, but for some bizarre reason I can reply to PMs from my phone. I'll reply today :)
Opteron 146 CABYE 0540 APMW on way to me....looks like pretty fine i hope this will be a burner.
best of it was 0530 apmw also as the fx-57 stepping. but that cabye will be much fun under coldness.
FPBW ??? Lol....3rd place with that i cant believe it...
I have a 3700 sitting around, its batch no. is 0608EPMW. Will it overclock good? or not?
Thx
There's nothing in that thread that will help you enable unlocking A64 processors ;)
@ massman: There WAS, the thread was deleted while I was saving it though, I'm missing a few pages ;)
Because SD is faster :p:
hehe, nice gianni :D
gianni you freak ? Are you on holidays ?
@ Knut
Stepping of that FX ?
Yesterday I tested my Opteron 146 CABYE 0540 APMW....no cold bug by the way but there were too bad temps for overclocking....only -18c with default vcore and with 1.6 volts there were around 0c...need some better unit for cooling....i think in the next weeks there will be one great unit in the mail
New cpu-z version is out so i did the false validations :D have to make it again :( ...very hot chip, could go to 3.4 ghz with bad cooling....i think there is potenzial with more coldness...
Yesterday I tested my first !!! FX-60...its an CCB2E 0536 WPMW....3.6 ghz was possible with single stage and 1.6 volts but the temps weren´t good. So I hope if i get the cascade there will be 3.7 ghz and higher...cold bug is -24c and 230 mhz....
Found one X2 4600+ LDBFE 0607 SPAW with no cold bug until 400 mhz htt  Could boot with that chip with 400x8 under single stage...
And the result is at the moment 3655 mhz with -24°c and 1.616 volts --> with more coldness the record could fall because i cant do more voltage on that chip and it easly defends on temperature. every celsius will helps on this way.
By the way, check my sig for my new 6000+ world record :D
hehe, nice work bro :toast:
Wow  Nice cpu you got there Oj101
Maybe you should bench some 1M with that ? ;)
All in good time ;)
I want to be able to 1M at 4GHz or very close to.
Fantastic Keep Pushing
Will get some new cpus next time...i dont know whats in the mail :D
What the fu.k !!!!!!! Never seen an 5000+ Toledo !!!! ES for the way....go for gold...
I wish i will also find such freaky cpus.
Did I ever show you the Venice 4100+?
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=440184
Max validation on normal air and 1.53v:
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=441342
(I think this is pretty good for an E3;))
LOL another wired chip...
@ knut
Great ;)
Why did you use the multi 11 with that venice at cpu-z ?
Can you tell me whats written on the chip ? Something like 04xx i think.
@ gianni
Do you want to come back after seeking that pics ? :D
@knut - You SHOULD have PM
What about this?
EDIT: Anyone interested in selling a Venus?
Board please :D
in the thread they were working on a tool that could be made with less than 100$, in other words for everyone out there. I don't think that anyone would risk paying 1000$+ just to check out if it works or not. No one actually confirmed it worked, they just assumed.
Venus, the razor blade?
wow how is this thread still alive when there's quads and nehalem now?!
Well if something like that could work, someone could buy it and offer an unlocing service. Someone could also (potentially) reverse engineer it and find out how it works, then write another program from the ground up simply for unlocking. I think you were looking for a $20 solution by the way :p:
DFI nF4 Venus
Because there are still some of us left with class:ROTF:
And very possibly 100th page :D
True that :D I have four old Voodoo 2000s in my cupboard :p:
http://octs.ripping.org/quad_benching.jpg
I want that background picture! Do you have it for me?
Just a few San Diego HT results:
Athlon FX-55 on DFI LP UT NF4 Ultra-D 425MHz
Athlon FX-55 on DFI LP UT CFX3200-DR 430MHz
Athlon 64 3700+ on DFI LP UT CFX3200-DR 411MHz
I forgot to remove two or three stocks of RAM for the 430MHz run - 4x256MHz @ 215MHz 2-2-2-5-1T dual channel :ROTF:
Then just a few TCCD results:
332MHz 2.5-3-3-7-1T DC
342MHz 2.5-4-4-8-1T DC
350MHz 3.0-4-4-8-1T DC
And here are some 6000+ results:
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...01/pi21781.jpg
Third on hwbot
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...pifast3261.jpg
Third Place on hwbot
Too bad the pifast has an "error in computation", which means that something in the calculation has gone wrong due to too high frequency :(:(:(
Nice score, what temps? Is this a B8-chip?:)
Also, tRC is quite high - maybe you can earn a little bit by reducing it a notch or two;) My D9GMH's ran 1m @ 550 4-4-4-8 @ 19 or 20 tRC.
