G.Skill 4x 1GB F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ runs fine for vista 64bit, i have memory remap enabled, 2,15 Volt.
Win Xp shows only 3 GB, thats normal.
I'm running E6850CPU with bios 2301, too.

Anyone know the Return On Investment of 4GB total under XP? Do things work any better using 3GB of RAM, or is it more of a warm feeling knowing that it's in there come Vista time?...
wow
thnx guys
at last I discovered the 370 FSB problem and solved it
I'm now at 412 FSB
CPU friquancy 3.7GHz
It's working 100% stable
here is a screenshot:

but now I have another FSB Wall at 415
it works at 414 but not at 415
here is my config and voltages:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2400MHz (Cooler Master Eclipse)
M/B: ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel 975X (ATi CrossFire Ready)

I have 4GB of this running and all is well, OCed it to 900Mhz and it is stable albeit 2.3 volts up from stock recommended 2.2 volts... 4-4-4-12-4
yes my q6600 is solid stable at 3.5ghz 390x9 i dont know how to check the verson of the board but on cpuz it sais REV0 and REV.1 XX. If you tell me how to check i will gladely do so and im using 2301. My fsb voltage is maxed at 1.5v and mch at 1.75v need to check this again will confirm but its definetly rock solid stable. but if i got higher its not working it just reboots when it shows windows screen at 400x9 i tried 1.5v still no go.
Are ASUS making crappy Bios versions on purpose. I still cannot disable onboard vista sound in my BIOS. it keeps re-enabling. I have no way of flashing my drive coz i dont own a USB flash drive. does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this problem. b4 i go nutz.

I tried 1.75v but same problem
it works fine at 414 (I'm runing it now) but at 415 it never boots
someking of wall
cant understand
I tried Multipiler 6 still the same
Tried lower DRAM friquancy but still doesnt boots
so it's 100% Motherboard problem
HELP :(
Not sure where that is. Here's where the motherboard revision number is (circled in red):

can anybody tell me how to get FSB 415?
3.6 and above for an e6600 on the p5w with your memory is good going - a lot of the E6600 's dont make it that far. I would not complain to much about a wall at 414 on a 9x multiplier. I could only get mine to 3.6 stable on air 400x9 before before I upgraded .Mine would not boot at 410 or 415 but it would boot not stable at 420 and 425 with more volts.e.g 1.55 but hot! MB likes 1:1 and can be picky on other ratios with memory as a rule . Increase NB volts as the FSB increases but 1.65 should be enough upto 420 or so. I would try ICH = 1.2 FSB= 1.3 and give it more vcore if you want higher than 3.7 . Try loosening the memory to 5,5,5,15 at 1:1 . Have you disabled all the other BIOS settings not required? e.g virtulisation, memory remap etc.
Hi,
I have a big problem. I just flashed my bios to lawrywild's recommended 2004 (http://rapidshare.com/files/48609629...eluxe-2004.rar) I used alt+F2, it was written compleated, i restarted system, and i can`t boot my system, everything seems to be working, no beeps, just monitor stays like turned off, just black screen. plz help. is my mb dead?
ok so this is interesting a further dive into the ide performance on this board remember I have a lot of hds so the problem could be linked to that and I expect no reviewers tested this board loaded up with hds.
4 winrar sessions unrarring at once, cpu utilisation and ram low yet clicking on each window is sluggish taking ages to redraw itself on screen so something is saturated probably the io bus.
Burning a dvd at 16x the old board did this with ease, the hd is thrashing hard at around 12x and read buffer running out, occasionally gets to 16x ok, put same hd in other machine and do 16x burn has no problems at all and not thrashing. I should get round to trying the raid drivers, hd is sharing intel pata controller with burner havent tried burning of jmicron or intel sata hds yet.
I feel your pain, the same thing happed to me when I used asus update from windows and corrupted my bios chip. Now at everyone recommendations I only use AFUDOS through dos. Not sure if the ALT F2 would do this but it sounds like you bricked or corrupted your bios chip like me as the symtoms were the same. If you cannot get it going you can mail the bios chip and I will hotflash your bios chip for you and DHL it back to you express if you like as long as you pay me for shipping. We can use paypal...
if you sign up on DHL.com you get 10% off all shipping and they are just great. Fastest shipping company and least expensive I have used yet.
Let me know man would be more then willing to help you...
2BIG4U, from Lithuania, Europe?
- in either case, contacting local ASUS Support Center is another suggestion.
- they will send you a replacement BIOS chip. (only costs $1 in the USA)
- you have to send your old BIOS chip back to them, otherwise, there is an additional charge. ($20 in the USA)
"ALT-F2" will work, only if the "safe-Boot-Block" area in BIOS was not damaged.

oops did not look where he was from... Bichi thanks for the heads up...
2BIG4U follow bichi recommendations.
but I do know I wiped my chip and the results were the same, pc would power up and black screen, no other responces.. ALt F2 did not work, not even the built in AMI bios recovery with the CTRL+Home on initial boot with a ps2 keyboard, nothing, system acted dead... I had to get another bios chip and hotflash the other one.. Now I have 2 chips just in case.
Good luck to you my friend...
