0506D
TMD7608F8E501
prob not bro
0506D = not likely
05064 = UTT
All of mine are "05034" or "05044" and "TMD7608F8E50D" on the chips themselves, with "xxxxxx1AA4T" at the upper right corner of the white sticker.
Well I got some 50D's (05034)
one does 220 the other 260ish ::poke::
I'll burn em in *sigh* I have had some really bad luck with UTT so far.
Just what i wanted to hear :(Quote:

I'm keeping my kit and gonna look for another stick that will do 260 =/.
Alphonso mentioned they were going to be coming out with a new product based on BH5 tech.... "1A4T" would be the number on it. This is different than the UTT "AA4T" stuff that is for sale today. Yes SP is 44D versions of "AA4T" while normal UTT is 50D version of "AA4T". But SP is mighty hard to get, almost as hard as RedSox ticket releases.
On a weird note. The set that does 245Mhz 2T.... I beat the crap out of it over night and now it MEMTEST 1.51's @ 245Mhz 1T with no errors. However, it acts like total crap in Windows @ 1T. Rock solid 3D/Prime stable at 245Mhz x10 @2T 8,2,2,2,2.0, so I dont know what to make of that, Ive never seen ram pass memtest and be so unstable in windows before.
But on a bright note, this ram absolutely would NOT pass memtest @ 1T over 220Mhz... until this morning, so some kind of "burnin" occured. Ill keep hammering on it. It's as if the "1T-ness" factor is right on the hairy-edge of work/no-work on NForce2. These sticks will all probably shine brightly on A64 boards, Norce2 is a pain in the arse at high FSB 2x512M 1T.
But if this is worst case scenario, it STILL beats my BH5 on NForce2 as 242Mhz Primestable is the best I can get @2T on the 2x 512M BH5 in DFI Infinity.
I guess Ill roll the dice on another PC3200 set and RMA the defective 4th set for replacement.
my VX acts very unstable in windows. The most I can get my VX stable too on my DFI LPB NF2 is 243. That is memtest stable however in Windows all hell breaks lose on anything over the early 200's. Apps closing themseleves out, blue screens, freezing etc.
Like uwackme said, there is nothing any memory can do for you man... nF2 was left in the dust because it is outdated now and not capable of addressing large amounts of memory at high speeds.
My NF7-S was MemTest STABLE 100% to 246 MHz 2-2-2 2x512 BH5 1T.... but come windows and it would lay bricks all over the place... max stable was bout 225 MHz - 233 MHz...
Cant.... what result do you get with CPC OFF? Like I said, this set of VX er UTT does memtest 245Mhz regardless of 1-2T now, but Windows barfs at 1T. 2T its solid to 245Mhz, but 1T its solid to 220Mhz 8,3,3,2,2.0 acting alot like, hmmm, CH5 ;-) Just curious.
NForce2 can kick ass, but you gotta really work at it. Im happily sitting at 245Mhz x11 1T 8,2,2,2,2.0 with this 1st set of UTT...@ 3.48Vdimm 1.9Vdd.
Im working on a friends NF7 now, its going to be home to the 2t-happy set, and HIS NForce.... Vmod'd to 2.9Vbios=3.25Vreal isnt really liking this ram at any setting. Work continues.
great work guys:up:
ordered this yesterday and got this today. seems some of the 1gb kits are not UTT
http://home.comcast.net/~esoteradactyl/twinmos.JPG
Reading about the news today, i just got the feeling winbond launched 2 diferent chips, we call it UTT, but maybe we do have something like UTT and UTT2, or whatever.
I just got 512MB kingston dimms with winbond markings, and they suck, 2-2-2@3.2v, only at +-202MHz. Much like OCZ VX 3200, what they garanteed anyways. Now, ocz released VX 4000, wich seems alot like the awsome UTTs that have came in some twinmos.
Maybe we're seeing 2 different chips?
i think VX 4000 are new (BH-5) UTT chips. while VX 3200 are the first (CH-5) UTT.

I would say 3.2V is the MINIMUM I'd be using to evaluated whether a stick was good or not. If it runs at lower V, great but if it doesnt it may still be a good stick in need of JUICE.
5 sets?.... so YOU are the guys keeping me from buying any SP! :toast:
@ xxORBxx: on a Abit NF7-S around 230 2-3-2-11 @3,1v i thought.
@Unwackme: my stick wouldn't even run 200mhz 2,5-3-3-8 @ 3,3v ;)
Update: Stick 1 that i ordered just died (stick 2 works still). Reason is because i forgot to put my active cooling on the sticks when i was folding (FAH). So just a word to the wise: Cool these suxers down at all times.

i can get this ram only from here AFAIK
only 230$, has anyone got from there? reckon its a good chance of being good chips?
being SP it will be 44D am i right? so just gotta email them asking about AA4T
thats a mighty steep price, I would a pay a little extra and just get the vx
yeah better get some VX from your country ;)Quote:

Hey Rancidelephant i got some of these too (way before any of this new winbound was found) and they really don't like more Mhz, but they do like timmings :) Mine do 2-3-2-5 @ DDR400 with 2.75 Vdimm in a VIA KT880 (Socket A, not 754)...
no way already TWINMOS BH-5 UTT ??

Hey, people in the UK!
I found a local store that has Twinmos M-Tec branded AA4T sticks in the DDR400 range. They are 512MB only, but it is the real deal. I had one of these wonder sticks in my own hands today. He's ordering me in 2 x 256MB sticks and I've told him to keep his eye out for more AA4T or 1A4T.
He only has 10 sticks of the 512 UTT in stock.
http://www.userf.co.uk/
His site doesn't list it as Twinmos but I assure you it is. If you want to make certain, give him a call. He does deal with mail order :)
so anyone heard if those 1A4T BH-5's are shipping here in the US?
They were gone in less than an hour. I was excited because I thought (based on the e-mails time stamp) I had a shot. Clicked on the link and ... signed up yet again for auto notification. :rolleyes:Quote:

Unfortunatley, while I can run the SP at 250fsb in windows, it bombs out if I up my CPU to anywhere near 3Ghz. So it looks like the mem controller on my FX-55 doesn't like tight latency at high speed.

twister is their tccd.
hi guys.. i just got a 05064 Twinmos Speed Premium 512x2 AA4T -- and it rocks !!
this is a small test i had ;) - Vdimm as you can see .. only 3.3v and its memtest #5 passed.. (about 60 pass before i got bored)
http://img72.exs.cx/img72/2944/260222533vupload8cv.jpg
try memtest 7 and try to run test 5 overnight. Sometimes u will get errors on the 300 something pass.

Edit:
Any other mem at NewEgg us UTT other then the VX?
Edit 2:
Put my self back on auto notify. Geez.. who stocks stuff at 8 PM?
yeah that was fast. Autonotify worked though, just as I was checking email.
I got 2 sticks, very apprehensive that they switched over to "Powerchip" IC's instead of UTT. Ill return them for 15% restocking if the code isnt:
050x4 and xxxxxxAA4T
ok... memtest 7# for now ... i'll do #5 later on..

Before the mod, selecting 2.9vDimm in bios (board max) and getting an actual 2.96v, the ram wouldn't do 2-2-2 at even 190 fsb and topped out at looser timings around 218 fsb.
After doing the mod, with vDimm=vIO=3.36v, I'm running Memtest with 2-2-2 timings at 242 fsb! This stuff REALLY likes voltage! This is also using a crappy 300w PSU, but voltages look good on it. I got errors at 245 fsb, but I think they were heat related because even though I had a fan blowing on them, the chips were pretty hot.
I did the mod differently than the way TicTac has posted. Instead of soldering to the Dimm vdd pins (tiny pins), I soldered to the vDimm capacitors (3 of the 4). So I have 3 wires running from the 3.3v terminals at the ATX plug, one to each capacitor. I measured vDimm and 3.3v under load and there is no voltage drop whatsoever so it turned out really well.
I'll post pics of the mod when I take the board back out in the next few days. Also, I'll do more testing and post back when I know how the other stick and dual channel works :)
Oh, and here's the info on my ram:
Twinmos Speed Premium pc3200, 2x512
Both sticks: 05064, 44D
ok i read the first couple of pages but i cant find anythin bout which actuall chips/sticks are teh best to get? i take it there is no stock left at newegg either :(..
wat would b a better option? this stuff or ocz vx value??
Nismo,
Well.. the TwinMos SP are great, if you can get them. Supply has been a big issue.
I have a pair of Value VX coming in on Friday.
The SP are great, I figure the Value VX will be teh same or even better.
The hard part about the Value VX, is that there isn't much feedback. So just stay tuned to the other thread, as more users get Value VX to test.

He took the chance and bought them, you shouldn't make Newegg or wherever you bought them go through the hassle of taking them back just because they aren't what you hoped for.
Why does this argument come up so often on these forums? I find it rather retarded. Why not return them? If your not happy then why keep them. The logic in that is just pointless. It was more of a hassle for him to buy it and not get what he wanted than the other way around. :rolleyes:Quote:

I bought 2x512 of Twinmos Speed Premium from Newegg, and I was lucky to get the good stuff. However, I wouldn't have returned them if I didn't, I would have just sold them at a loss. Thats the chance you take when you gamble on value memory.
mwave has a 7day customer satifaction policy. If you dont like it you can get your maney back. No questions asked. And there retrun policy is awesome. My third powercolor x800 pro died and I already sent the card back to powercolor. I sent an email to mwave anyways and they gave me a rma number even though the reciept was from 8/2004. I wish I didnt send the card to powercolor now and went threw mwave.
Hey Shroom, mwave does have a good policy, but these were probably purchased from Newegg and their policy is for defective items. I just hate seeing people taking advantage of Newegg like this when they are such a good company.
yeah sorry, that was a little off subject but just saying some retailers dont mind but newegg does. I do most of my shopping at fry's and mwave so im pretty set.
Well, I think your just a lil too upset over it IMO. It's really not costing them as much as you think it is.
Are these the ones everyone is talking about?

Thats why they should seperate the different models of a certain product they are keeping in stock and sell them at a little higher cost(meaning that they should do what they did with the buffalo memory and selling sticks with different chips as different products, i remember they sold infineon buffalo, winbond buffalo, micron buffalo, etc) This way everyone would be happy and they would earn a little more.Quote:
