No, seriously they did...I'm using a combo of a few of your settings along with what I found to be comfortable voltages and it seems to be cool enough...
I'm coming from an E8600, so I'm used to SPEED, and 4.2 is in the E8600 range...but I wanted the extra cores and 12mb cache for Photoshop and virus scanning while working, not to mention shaving a few moments off of my XviD encoding time for my DVD collection... so i think it was a smart very reasonable 300 dollar investment.. I just would like to have it running at somewhat safe settings and still last a year or two if I needed it....
the motherboard, I don't care so much about though...I have the T2RSB Plus sitting by and to replace a Gigabyte p45 ain't all that much...
