Yea, I saw Repo's post about the stepping, in some random thread, and decided to grab it. Thanks to all who posted about this stepping before hand.

It seems to be these CCBBE 0610 that run cooler, Mine runs 36-40 load where as my previous CCB1E 0550 ran 47-52.

its a shiatty DFI bug, new beta bios allows for "readjustment' of temps by 5-10deg C*. Personally, my temps are off by 5c*

I will definetly have to agree with that statement there. Just recieved a CCBWE 0607 UPMW from monarch and it wouldn't even boot 1.55v 283x9. It took 1.475v just to get to 273x9. Guess it will just go in the pile of procs that may one day be used again or up for sale...who knows.

well, i figured the poor performance from my CCBWE 0604 must be directly related to 1) heat 2) my motherboard.

my mobo will boot at 300HTT, but not 301. if i flip the psu switch while its trying to load the bios then i can trick it into booting. i got it to boot at 305HTT 1.50vcore, but load temps were well over 60c. so... in order to see if it would prime at that vcore and speed a i set my case on its side and stuck a window fan on it. got my temps down to 51c. and core 0 primed for 1 hour, and core 1 primed all night. i'm assuming core 1 primed all night since core 0 died and temps went down to 40c. so, its not prime stable @ 305:1.5:51c. so yea, this chip sucks. any one want to buy an Opty 165 ? :)

Just received my CCBBE 0610 DPMW and it boots 334x9/140 mem divider 1.375v x 110%. :woot: Doesn't primes but a quick 3dk05 run gave me 13604.

Will tweak more tonight, now I have to go back to work :)

jsut came form monarch. i guess ima be the test dummy. was hoping for another 0610.

if its anything like my 0609FPAW, its a good chip. i can do 2.8 @ 1.475 prime stable. having trouble getting 2.85 stable though. even with 1.55v it still fails prime. it boots up and benches 3.0 @ 1.525v though.

mines is a 165 does it matter?

priming at 2.7 stock voltage.

temps 39-40 C on water cooling

do u think i should do small speed burn ins? or am i ok. its still only like 1 hour old.

i usually try to see how high it will go right away. i've never seen a benefit from burning in, so i dont' really believe in it

I can't say for sure it was burn in, but my 0551UPMW wasn't even stable at 2.6 with 1.425 and now (well just before swapping to the 0610DPWM) it primes 7h 41m (before failed around 30mins).

Also I wasn't able to boot over 2.7 and I got it to bench at 2.8. Burn in or AS5 settling, it became slightly better with time, around 2 months, but not real burn-in, only "normal" OC use, it is, priming sometimes, 3d benching and stressing the cpu much more than Office and websurf :D

//EDIT: Seems temps are a problem to get the CCBBE 0610 DPWM at 3ghz. Gets to 52c with ambient 26c (yes, its very hot already here in Spain). 1.375x110%. But that was THE FIRST try to get it to boot at 3ghz. Maybe tonight I can lower the volts and see. Any advice on how many volts stay at? Everything is in my sig vvvv

temps went down to aroun 37-38. im posted it for sale already so i might not have time to give yall all the info on it.

ahh i noticed ive been priming wrong. how do i set t he affinity using sp 2004?

using windows or the drop down menus of sp2004?

and do i check the box? or uncheck. only 1 cor eis going 100% the other isnt moving.

EDIT NM i jsut put the test on cpu test isntead of the cpu+ ram blend test everything is 100% now.

Ja but Chkdsk is loading lower than everyone else, and he has the best one

I still think CCB1E 0608 is a much better stepping, all results included.

I would go so far as to call 0608MPMW a CONSISTENTLY good stepping because i haven't seen any that were bad, in fact all of them are pretty equally good, it is hard to believe that there is so little variation. I am seeing much more variation within the 0610s.

Just popped it in. 2.9Ghz is giving me trouble though, I'm not sure if its an HTT problem. I'll try out a couple different settings and see if I can't get it stable :toast:

I noticed that it might want a lower htt multi or +0.1 on LDT volts. I can't even boot with the other ccbbe that I bought at 333x3.. needs to be 333x2.5 or use 1.3ldt volts :confused:

How are your temps? That one only got to 40-42 with 1.5v 3GHz on my setup

priming right now at 2.9ghz 1.4v on an a8n32-sli mobo.
CCB1E 0609FPMW, i took off the ihs and it dropped load temps by 5c.
its hot in my room so my load with the ihs off is 40c right now...
4 minute prime so far :)
i primed for 20 minutes at 2.8 stock voltage with the ihs on
