this is not wath i payed for god damn , sapphire uses 1.2ns rams under a XTX . thy can expect some angry mail !
if i wanted a card with 1.2 i woald buy a X1900XT , but no sapphire use 1.2ns rams on bothe man is this way i pay a extra buck :nono:
nice card
wow, infineon ram too. I wonder when they started doing that? I suppose it saves them money in the long run. The average user would have no clue as they don't remove the stock cooler to check.
yeah but im not happy i payed for 1.1ns and this is what i get :mad:Quote:

yea well XTX are suppose to come with 1.1ns ram. He is the first and only person to prove otherwise. There isn't a soul in this forum who wouldn't have known better before his post that they weren't getting 1.1ns ram when the bought an XTX, XT perhaps not but XTX yes. I feel bad for him and it isn't his fault.
Hey guys,
I've got a sapphire X1900XT and was just wondering what the chances are that it has BJ11 ram?
I have epoxyed ram sinks on and the core is being cooled by a maze 4 so I cant take the ramsinks off to see if it has the BJ11.
Thanks
Jon

I also have a fan over the ramsinks now so temps shouldnt be a problem.
EDIT: Just read a few posts above, looks like I have infineon too.
thx m8 its treu , but il get me sommething els ;)Quote:

Even if overdrive can't get to its "max".
Again, I still sorry for you because my first Sapphire was a XT with BJ11, but it was bought in May. I guess Sapphire is trying to lower costs now the cards are sold for less than in May/June.
man i havent checked my chips on my xt yet but i was playing with it the day i got it and i benched 850 without even trying.. i went straight for 900, crashed it and i havent felt like overclocking since... pretty sure that means 1.1... ;)
I'm working on custom making a cooler for it before i have some real fun.
Today I'll have some OC with DI.
Hope I get some results. :gamer:
setup
A64 FX57

Wonder why diff speed mem.
i got a problem
my x1900xt asus with stock bios and stock clock , can get 39550 3dmarks01
with XTX bios get 37550 marks wtf ???? anyone what happend?
Hey Ice. So I too have a HIS1900XT Ice3q and flashed my bios to your custom rom. Worked great. I am curious tho about what u did to the timings in the bios. I ham only scoring 5094 for 3dmark 06. Seems kinda low. I am using Catalyst 6.8. Here are my PC specs.Quote:

Everything is pretty much tweaked. Im not running atitool., just running the card @ your 675/800 spec. Just figured i'd score higher in 3dmark. Any idea why?
The timings are pretty much the same as your stock bios...It may be your PC holding you back. Look thru this page and compare your score with others close to yours. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...php?t=88168DidQuote:

Using the same vid card and bios (675/801) as you, here's what I get using 6.8 cat's in 3DM06. My PC is OC'd to 3.3GHz and my PC spec's are in my sig.

hummm that's for X1950XTX or X1900XT ??Quote:

I thought that if you removed them your air flow through the case would not be as efficient. I am getting my x1900xt tommorow I guess I will see myself soon enough.
Guys....I've been reading this thread, and just gotta couple of questions, since I got an x1900XT coming this week :D
1. is the flashing procedure on pg1 still valid to flash the bios to a x1900xtx? I have a 256MB card coming rather than the 512mb...will this make a difference?
2. seems like a lot of people are just using the catalyst control panel 'ATI Overdrive' section to overclock this guy...is this the way to go, or remain with the ATItool at techpowerup?
I dont wanna OC'it too much, as I plan to keep stock cooling, and dont want to raise the heat/noise ratio too much. Just wanna squeeze a little more power and fps out of it.

CPU is really holding me back and i have yet to max out my GFX clocks!
Its a Powercolor X1900XT running at XTX speeds and uses BJ-11 rams.. im suprised that the Sapphire cards are using 1.2ns rams... wtf were they thinking?
Something was screwy. I just updated my ati drivers to the 6.9 version and scored 6080. Still a far cry from your score. Guess the conroe really makes a difference. Thanks again for the help, Ice.Quote:
