Firestix PC6400 and 8000 are D9.I called there and spoke with a rep i believe his name was keith and he said Buffalo is using only D9 micron chips in their Firestix from PC2 6400 on up:banana:

so i have both my sets of 2 gig gskill 8000hz, one set has one heatspreader and the other has a different one, same models and all will i run into some problems?

Yes they said so , but we found few kits with Elpida , although that they are not using Elpida anymore there might be old stock

Yeah Kemo they were indeed PC2-8000 Ballistixs, hence why they clocked so well for me I think. I lucked out when I bought them because they were deeply discounted! I think you are right about thet GSkills tight sub-timings holding them back, or those sub-timings along with not liking the 680i? At stock speed and timings though they were very fast in SuperPI! The GSKills at 1000Mhz 4-4-4-5 beat out the Ballistix at 1100Mhz 4-4-4-5 (both sets were left at stock sub-timings) in both 1M and 32M.

On a separate note neither my Ballistix nor GSKills were capable of running above 1150Mhz no matter what timings or voltage levels I used. Well my new CellShocks are stable at 1200Mhz with timings of 5-5-5-15 on 2.3v! I should add that the CellShocks have stock sub-timings on par with the Ballistix (PC2-8000).

Ok guys now that all the prices are dropping i need some fresh ideas for some sub 270$ memory. What do you think will treat me the best. I think im going to wait till they have the Titanium Alphas in stock again. Thanks

Today proudly added the first non Micron ram into the list . although i don't have enough info regarding the ICs and voltage scaling but this ram looks very promising and perfect for 24/7 use with low voltage

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Kemo, lol! Yeah I know the time sucks but all kidding aside that 32M time was my personal best (and it was about 9s faster than my next best time)! I'm pretty sure the reason it was so much faster was because I tried that "transfer large file from one partition to another"? In anycase I have no idea how you guys are able to shave so much time off your 32M runs with CPU at 3.6Ghz? I mean some people have times more than a minute faster despite CPU being at same clockspeed. What is the sercret guys!

On a separate note, that OCZ Flex RAM looks pretty decent. I had searched around a bit but couldn't figure out what IC's their using, do you know?

that tweak you are taking about is copy waza and it is copying folder from your windows partition to the Pi portion and that is the most important tweak , there is lots of OS tweaks and quiet a few tricks , you can consider 32M as the most tweakable benchmark

and for those OCZ so far Ryder didn't tell me so i am waitting for more info

The OCZ Titanium Alpha VX2 are back in for $299. They also have a $35 MIR that will be good until 3/15. Final price $265.

If I wasn't going to Jamaica in 2 weeks I'd be all over this.

Thanks very much Reverendrum, much apprecaited! I recenlty returned a kit of GSKill RAM to newegg for refund which just cleared yesterday. Very tempting to pick this kit up, especially since it's about $89 cheaper than it usually is (without counting MIR)! By the way as of 12:00am EST there are only 7kits still available!

the PC8000HZ , DDR1000 4-4-4-5 , it was not a good overclocker due to very tight sub timings but on the other hand it was very fast @ stock settings compared to other kits , you will find more info in previous pages

Ok i pulled the trigger on the Alphas, they just shipped. 300$ on memory! Im going to shoot myself lol. Theres only 4 left get them wile they are hot.
