hmm ok then it´s just weak ^^
drops down to 11.4 volts when setting my a64nc to 1.7vcore and 2.6ghz :(
have to admit that i have an oc´ed 6800 in the rig :D
Did you measure with a multimeter on a spare molex connector under load. I ask, because this could also be caused by the mobo giving in. For example, my Tagan PSU always regulates to a perfect 12V, even under full load, but the monitoring software says something about 11,6V under load. These .04V difference is a drop caused by the mobo and not by the PSU.Quote:

mine is 1.5v...
1.6v for me.... it is stable at 1.5v, i jus do it to be on the safe side.
jus for the record, i hav NEVER seen a benefit from raising vAGP
I was just wondering if it could improve increased fsb. I'm just confused because i memtest test #5 @258fsb and it can do 100 passes and then spit out 2 errors.
How many passes untill a person considers a certain fsb stable. 40? 50?
If I get no errors in memtest for a complete run overnight of test #5, then at least 8hrs of Prime Blend, i call it stable.
Those two errors may be heat related Klisp... what are you ambient temps like, and how good is the airflow over the modules?
@ Rabbi_NZ , i can only play 3D games if i raise my vagp. :) this at 240Mhz of course.
btw, congrats for the wonderfull job at "VX/UTT Voltage Scaling" thread. :)
I should try harder with my Buffalo CH5, i've just passed super pi 8MB at 250 Cas 1'5-2-2 1T. I don't know the vdimm cause the LEDs are burned (and i don't have a voltimeter at the moment), but it may be low because the heatsink of the ocz booster is quite cold.
Thanks mate :)Quote:

What are your timings?
For reference, I run these timings. They are in the order found in the DFI BIOS:
1T-2-2-8-2-7-15-0-3-1-2-3072-1-Increase-255-Level2
Well i run these timmings on my DFI BIOS:
1T-2-2-6-2 and the rest of the settings are on auto.
I'm gonna see if your setting will help since i'm running everything on auto.
Here is a screen shot of my current "A64 Tweaker" settings:
hav you tried Tras=8?
Also, bare in mind those timings I gave are the tightest I can run without hindering my overclock... you RAM may not be as forgiving, but give them a go
Yup, i tried 8 and 10.Quote:

I'll try 8 and 10 again and see if i could run at 259 or 260mhz. Usually running 259 will cause 18+ errors per pass of test #5.
Well i still got errors running @ 8 and 10 tras but they were less. I got about 268 errors the first pass. When i changed the drive strength to 4 i got around 216 errors on the first pass.
Then i decided to play with the "tref" so i set it to 3072 like you had it and got over 300+ errors. Then i set it to "tref" 0128 for the hell of it and then the first pass was error free. wtf ?
I then went back into windows and checked cpu-z and it says i'm still running 1:1. I think this might be my new setting. What you think ?
sigh, i give up. just gonna wait and try it on an AMD setup.. Intel aint doing me right. BH6 and BH5 gives me trouble on this platform.
hhmmm interesting... I only tested the effect on performance with Tref, but didn't do much in the way of seeing whether or not it effects max MHz.
But yeah like I said bro, that Tref (3072) is ABSOLUTE "tightest" I can run... I actually gained a second in SuperPI 1MB @ 10x256 with that setting
Here's something I posted at DFI-Street:
And here's something jess posted at DFI-Street:Quote:

here are some more info from me
tref if set to auto it's 3072
my UTT seem to be realy TRFC sensitive. going from 15->16 i got 2MHz more!
so the settings im using to get memtest#5 stable (for 268DC @ 3.4V) are now
2-2-5-7-16-2-2-1-1-auto-3072-Enable
auto-0-auto-Level 4-7ns-4ns-16x-4x-16cycles
hope you understand my timmings :D
have some pictures of benches and tests

trans am why 100$ for PSU ??? and is there any need for 300GB hd really ?
dvd burners are for that......160GB way too much these days...
sorry off topic/ the guy is sharing the computer with 3 people and needs tons of storage. I was going to put 2 120's in raid 0, but it ended up being a little cheaper per gig. with the maxtor 300gb and it has NCQ. so that's another bonus.Quote:

well done trans am:up: i put my older 420w powerstream in my moms 2800xp rig :D i wanted her to have the best!
i am in the process of trying every tref setting @ 3.48 vdimm 262 mhz 512x1 with my tightest timeings.. i will be letting it run in memtest86 for 5 passes to see if i get errors. then i will go into sandra and test for bandwith :toast:
i will be posting my findings for all of you to enjoy. also rab* i will hit up your thread with my findings..
tref seems to be the key to my stability and performance.
timeings in dfi UT bios are 200-1T-2-2-10-2-9-15-auto-2-1-2-x-auto-increase skew-255-lev2-dynamic counter enabled-rest set to auto
Klisp, try it disabled AND enabled... some guys simply CAN NOT run enabled and maintain stability but if you can it will boost bandwidth a fair amount.
SuperPI 32mb (Interleaving OFF) 10x260 = 31m
SuperPI 32mb (Interleaving ON) 10x264 = 29m
esdee, yeah modules actually start laying bricks if I set Trfc below 15, so that is where I leave it... but I havent tested how Trfc 16 would effect my memtest stability yet. I'll do some testing soon as I can... thanks for the heads up dude.
acid, that'd be sweet bro! cant wait for your results... it means I dont have to test as much myself hehehehe
I'll put your findings on the first page of the Voltage Scaling thread when you're done...
Could you do it in this format... for each Tref:
Find max Memtest for 3-5 loops of test #5
Get Sandra Bandwidth
and wotever else you want...
If we know roughly how many MHz we gain, AND the performance impact, it will make tuning these badboys a sheeeet load easier
[EDIT] acid... do you gain MHz by going from Trc=7 to Trc=9? I dont seem to gain anything... well, I didnt with Tras=10 but things may be dif now.
Well I tried my best last night to get something worthwhile out of my 2x256 Speed premium and have conceeded defeat.
The 1.36Bitpower bios this help stability to the degree that it would last more than 20seconds in windows at 250fsb @ anywhere between 3.2 and 3.4volts - anything higher or lower resulted in BSOD either during or after boot.
I've memtested the ram clean at 260fsb at 3.5v, but doing anything realistic is a joke. My FX-55 can handle 280HTT 1:1 with my gig of Gskill so I know that isn't the culprit. The other possibility is that my OCZ booster is the junk that it looks like. I'm not interested in trying for anything less than 250 x-2-2-2 as it would still be slower than my TCCD @ 280 2.5-3-3-7.
I'm tempted to put this ram down to experience as a good memtest toy but worth nothing in real terms.
I may give it one last chance by doing the 3.3vio mod and controlling the voltage with my PSUs pot. But unless it starts playing at 250+ then, it's going into my business computer to allow me to sell my EB thats in there.
what are your timings GazC?
Tras, Trc, Trfc, Tref and anything else you know

tref-test5-errors-superPI-sandra bandwith
ok this also reinforces my theory last night rab*.
notice that the lower tref in each set shows lower bandwith when paired against the rest of its set?
also i can pass memetest86 x5 no prob on some but superPI is no go

Hello all.
I'm just another Intel user who's unfortunate to see this ram working on my rig :(
Could each one of you (Intel users) posts your information from 865/875 Tweaker? Cauze i'm very interesting how come it works on some and fails on another...
my data:
asus p4p800-e DELUXE
P4 2.6C
2x512 AA4T/44D twinmos
the far I could go is 240 2.5-3-2-7 (yea...whacky timings) with 3.2V memtest #5 about 20 errors, but stable for games in windows.
CPC Disabled too
Why don't you try to set the Performance mode to DISABLE for start........?..... ;)Quote:

I see no trc or trfc on my mobo.
chipset menu looks like this (picture) and timings i can change are: CAS, RAS precharge, RAS to CAS delay, Precharge delay...another setting is Burst Lenght, i've set it to 8, cauze while at 4 I even get more errors.
spread spectrum is set to disabled.
Hehe dude...must say I was thinking about it....but I aint gonna switch to AMD just because some RAM isnt' working. I have my eyes on some new mobo and CPU (max3 and 3.2E) to get past 4Ghz and I these sticks wont work there....i'll just buy some TCCD then...Quote:

I'd like to say that enabling performance mode doesn't have effect on number of errors in memtest, but gives me about 200 more in sandra!
On IC7 mobo that can't trully disable the PAT thing they do well with 2 - 5 - 3 - 2 .........
i tried the 2-5-3-2 settings and no help. Even on bh5 and bh6 sticks, it didnt help. my system would free at 250fsb with bh5 and bh6 during gaming. memtest clean, but game freezes after like 10mins.
have you guys tried 3.4 volts on your intel systms? I didn't see anyone post with 3.4 volts, most I saw was 3.2.
3.54volts here.

good sheeet AcID... looks real nice man.
where's the rest of the timings tho? bro, you're letting the team down LOL

Over here with the Max3 they now do 257mhz 2.5.2.2 with about 3.25 - 3.35vdimm (fluctuates) without vtt mod. So no need to do 2.5.3.2 here. That's with Sp'sQuote:

Anyone find any difference between the "Speed premium" sticks and the 1G kit sticks?
They all hitting the same speed point or are the SP's any faster?
Im dyin here, 3 sets are sitting at the FedX office to be delivered TUESDAY morning...ugh.... its 5 minutes from my house
There is a thread link in my sig, check out the results there uwackme...
In that thread I have named Speed Premium as "SP UTT". If there is no "SP" in the description it either means the person posting results didnt mention they were SP, or they are not SP.
just order 2 x 256Mb TwinMOS SP ....
will test it on my DFI LPB ;)
Maybe Ill grab 2x 512 of SP when it hits tommorrow.
I think I just got 2 cherry sticks of SP, they do 243 each at 2.8 volts, unfortunately I have no case atm so I can't even put my stuff togethetr to test it, hehe. No one sells a pc 7077 except newegg, anyone know where else I can get one? Well this weekend my brother in law is coming with his nf4 rig so I'll get some testing in :)

I don't know if it has been noted before - this thread is huge!! - but not all Speed Premiums come with a BP pcb...I think that pre-UTT SPs came with BP but newer sticks carrying UTT don't.

My SP carry the same pcb as the ones in the PCStats.com review above. It's identical to the pcb of the new BH5 Twinmos. Check it out here:

Maybe Alonso can clear things up..
none of the latest SP has BP pcb. but i remember some early UTT sticks having BP pcb (maybe i'm confusing with the non-UTT ones) and didn't oc higher than the usual KO pcb one's.
AFAIK,
all TwinMOS AA4T is not on BP PCB
only some AADT got BP PCB - which is not Winbond utt tho :slap:

has anyone else tried the new DFI UT 250gb bios?
i shaved a stable second off my PI time:) now at 33/s with TREF=1560, DRAM BANK INTERLEAVE...Enabled :toast:
Question... what the FK is "auto-preharge". It is ON by default in all NForce2 bios's. NForcetweaker lets us turn it off. Anyone know the PCR address for this setting? I'd love to have WPCRSET turn it off, as NFtweaker is incompatible with MBM. There is no setting for it in the DFI NF2 bios, which is ashame since everything else IS there ;-)
The SPD on these rams says it DOES NOT support "autoprecharge" and sure enough turning it OFF gets a few more Mhz out of the ram, and no loss in bandwidth.
BTW Im sitting on the SP page @ Newegg refreshing all day hoping to catch the release.
Further stability testing....using NF7-S 3.2Vdimm, Im very tired now.... on all 4 sets. My original MIRACLE set week5-2005, 3 other sets are week3-2005, one set has a bad stick that gives a 1bit error in memtest regardless of settings...definitely single bad chip on it, so RMA for that pair.
The SO SO sets get 230-5Mhz's with 3.2Vdimm, 1T but start to get errors and arent Prime-stable above this. 2T gets us to 240Mhz or just beyond.
The miracle set gets 238Mhz 1T on this test setup (245Mhz on DFI w/3.48Vdimm). The higher VDimm on DFI got memtest to pass higher on the other 2 sets (not counting bad set anymore) but actualy 3D/Prime testing showed the extra voltage didnt help.
The first pr I got and call "miracle" 1T/2T had no effect on results, making me think it would but at a FSB above my chipset's ability to reach and see it.
