Use EZ Flash (instructions posted earlier). The second part of the flash is autmoated so it will not complete using ROG BIOS flashback. The board needs to be powered up for that part.

andressergio, I received the 3rd bios from ebay user biosdepot today. I just installed this new chip into bios 1 which has been non working for months. This new chip he sent me works great, it booted right up with bios 2302. He said he tried a new programming method this time and it worked.
If I were you I would message him on ebay and tell him you are having the same problem as me and this latest chip he sent me worked and you want yours replaced free of charge as well just like he did for me.
I now have 3 non working bios chips and 2 working chips. Wish I could send him those 3 bad ones back to be flashed the proper way.
i flashed to 3202 with no problems.
Hey guys I just got 3770k but maximum multi in bios is 35
I did update to the latest for z68 bios - 3203.
Any ideas?
Try this,it's supposed to be the correct way to update to 3203.

New bios downloadable from Asus site for MIVE-Z, lets see how that differs with 3203
flashed yesterday bios 3208. seems to be a better one, no problems at all until now :)
thx for feedback on 3208 ;)
Is there any problem to changed bios from 2105 to 3208 ? Any special tactics ? :)
it is ok whit I7 2600K an I7 3770k ;) bios 3208
I just wanna thanks LardArse for sending me the chips and pardon the delay as they arrived in 2 days to my country but stupid DHL didnt read that ASUS payed all taxes etc and the customs retain the chips for 1 week today i put them and both run amazing and new 3209 bios in them :)
THANKS !!!
Best Regards
Sergio
andressergio, are these the chips from biosdepot? Or different chips? Glad to here you are up and running regardless!
Guys i have big request to You. Could someone make a instruction step by step how to install new bios 3208 ? Now i have 2105 and i want change it in safe way.
So i understand that like this: if i want 3208 bios i must have new chip for this ?? I cant install new bios 3208 in old way ?
This is the BIOS 3209 wich came with the ASUS BIOS chips they sent me, its configured for 5Ghz at 1,41vcore mem 2133 9-10-10-28 1T 1,5. RAID. either way if you flash it just reset its been a good BIOS for me

Bios onboard - everything is ok :) Once more huge thanks ;)
I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find an answer, do the eSATA ports support port multiplier? I have two RAID enclosures I plan to connect and I don't want to have to purchase an controller card if I don't have to.
So finally board works perfect with ivy?
Thanks for the info, guess I'll have to pick up a pci-e card for that.
I'm actually debating on the 3570k or 2500k to buy today. Are there any issues with this board and the 3570, and I am able to flash to the newest bios without a processor installed right?
I have packed my neatly into the box again, have a MSI GD65 Z77 in my test table, but I'm a little disappointed that it did not run so well with my G.Skill F3 17600 2x2GBcl7
but bios 3208 is ok to I7 3770K an I7 2600K
For the first time in a while...I'm a little bit confused. I'm still running my 2500k @ 5GHz with the 1409 BIOS. If I upgrade to this new 3209 will I have any trouble, instability, etc...? I like testing new BIOS versions on this board but I don't want to damage things due to me staying on my current SB chip for a while.
Thanks
yep it came on the original BIOS chips that Asus sent me, working great im on it since then

Is the max multiplier still 59x with Ivy Bridge and P67/Z68 motherboards?
I have a few questions, I flashed to 3208 and am running a 3570k and trying to OC now... I can set the multiplier in the bios, disable speedstepping and all that, but CPU-Z reports that my processor is still at stock (3.4ghz). Realtemp is reporting 4.4 (what I have set) but I'm not sure to trust that. Also, the ROG CPU-Z seems to only partially work and the newest version of both vanilla and ROG CPU-Z (1.60.1, 1.58.4) hang on loading and I can't even force it closed. Am I missing something in attempting to overclock?
Run LinX or IBT and look at Gflops...that should tell you if your overclock is setting or not...
CPU-Z shouldn't hang...
Can you tell me, what is the maximum multiplier possible with a 3570K and bios 3208?
Well, the OC seems to be working now, can only see it via realtemp though. 4.6 @ 1.225v and no other changes to bios. I'll run a few more things to check stability then I'll reboot and check the multiplier.
Just checked and the max multiplier seems to be 59.
4.6 @ 1.225 seems to be stable, peaking at 67c right now, so I think I'm pretty happy with that.
tought it would be nice to post this
here my results with i3570K on the MIVE P67 B3 using BIOS 3209

at this last config i can game all games perfect now if i put above config there's no way not even uping vcore, or touching any other timmings on the mem, maybe any of the IVY experts can help me i wana play at 5GHz with mem at 2400, and i know aint mem cauz i already tried 5Ghz at 2133 and 2200 and no way, its a 5GHz problem and i know this is a very good chip with strong IMC that can do 2800
cheers to all
Sergio
A note to anyone upgrading to the 3209 BIOS posted above:
Make sure you have successfully flashed to a 32xx BIOS with an up to date ME before upgrading to 3209. I went from 1409 (SB - 2500k) straight to 3209 (IB - 3570k) and the BIOS flashed but the ME wouldn't update and all attempts after that were unsuccessful. I had to put my 2500k back in the system, push my 1409 BIOS from the other chip, then perform an upgrade to 3208 official. 3208 official upgraded the ME without any problems. The 3209 BIOS is great and loads / works just fine once the ME version is correct.
Thanks
I sent my MSI Z77 back to the store and got my money back
performance is very poor in all the tests I have run 2D an 3D VS old ASUS P57 maximus xtreme VI
I7 3770K run super whit ASUS maximus xtreme VI
Eureka think i nailed the problem after all, people with the problem off not getting the 2nd card detected in control panel try changing your cpu.
After changing the motherboard, power supply, testing with 2 x GTX580 from friend. I switched my Intel Core i5 2500K with a Intel Pentium G530 for testing and guess what, found my 2 x GTX480 in sli without a problem.
It is now day 2 with the G530 and no problems so far, looks like i'm getting a ivy bridge after all :D

and see if you can get vcpu farther down
where do you get the 3209 bios?
Thx a lot, didnt see that on the page before. i currently have the 3208 running.
It was not the cpu after all, 2nd GTX480 died on me, it was the card all along.
Flashed my MIVE with the 2500K in it with bios 3209 and bought myself a 3570K. PC works fine but in bios ME version is 0.0.0.0 this cant' be right now is it?

So 2600mhz multi works on P67??? If so the only thing z77 really offers performance wise over P67/Z68 M4E is Virtu MVP? I mean from what Ive seen you can push mem a little further on the M5G and M5F, and 4 sticks will no doubt clock higher. 2600mhz 1T though is really making me reconsider moving to the M5F though...
and 2800 too :) this are Patriots of 99 dols 2x4GB VIPER XTREME 2400 11-11-11-30 amazing mem like my 2000 9-11-9-27 both do 2400 but the 2400 will do 2600 will test 2800 :)

Any reason for me to move from bios v2001 to 3xxx?
I'm running a 2600k @ 5ghz. It's a little flaky now and again, but only when booting. Games and programs never crash.
this i just achieved and very happy for my daily setup

Yeah this really does open up new possibilities for me. May not need to buy any new boards afterall, just sell an old 2500k, move my good one to the P67-Pro and pick up a 3770k for the M4E. Dont even need to drain the loop - bonus!
Problem is if I get an Ivy I have to resist the temptation to pop the heatspreader...
inmo really you dont need a 3770K they OC worse than 3570K and IMC not so good as the 3570K u have to be very lucky, the 3570K is cheap fast and dont heat as a 3770K and on the MIVE will go to this speeds of mem easy
i also see that no more damn SB problem of BSOD 124 or 101 even if stable on IDLE or whatever i NEVER had that BSOD's since i got IVY and on the same mobo, i tested like 8 SB and all did that crap
cheers !

on 2600 12-12-12-31 1T tRFC 200 tried memtest till 1,6750 and passes like 60% but errors, dont know how high i can go on volts for 24/7, but passes SPI32, hyperpi32 and games with no problem
Cheers all
Sergio
124/101 on idle you need to run dynamic vcore and tweak the turbo add voltage in the CPU section of bios. Setting that section to "maximum" only makes it worse. Like you I've never been able to stop it using manual vcore (part of the reason I only run DVID).
Its odd you say that about the 3570K as Ive not seen any really good I5 IB clocks. After having had 3 2500k's that sucked I promised myself I'd stick to I7's from now on :).
Try 12-13-13-2T with TRFC at 242+ to see if its your imc (or maybe board?) or the ram holding you back :).
I was flashing my bios to the latest 3208 and well it looked like it was going fine, it loaded the ROM etc. although now i cannot post into windows when i am on that BIOS. Screen just stays black and my rig will stay on for a while then just turn off then turn back on.
I have pulled power cord, pulled the battery, and switched the jumpers etc. to clear cmos...still nothing.
Gladly my other BIOS works fine, although it is at the stock BIOS which doesn't even let me passed the stock 34 multi....
Just wondering if there is anything else i can try to salvage that BIOS..For those no familliar with this board it has a button that allows you to boot into a separate bios in case something like this occurs.
just a bit annoyed right now!
well this is another case mate, one of this BIOS destroyed my chip for me and some other ppl, so far other reports perfect flash
you have the ROG CONNECTION that u can reprogram try to put my 3209 i posted some pages back load a flash drive (fat 32) clean with the name M4E.ROM whatever the BIOS you want to load
http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...BIOS-Flashback
best of lucks
Sergio
yeah i tried 3209 and...its the same for me as 3208 :( i can use my rig but sadly i cant OC or even use Xfire, while i bios i cannot save any changes or even overclock passed x34 multi. I also notice in bios it does not recognize any of the other pcie-e lanes other than the one of my main card.
Well i tried this, and it looked like the flash worked. Although much to my horror, everything is still the same, boot up takes FOREVER, cant save any settings in BIOS, stuck on stock settings, and PCI-E lanes are still not being recognized other than my main GPU (cant use X-fire) .... ugh....looks like its time for RMA?
1) do the other BIOS if you switch to it works ? or its just that chip ?
2) remove CPU and CHECK socket and pins you can have hair, dust, paste or a bent pin and will do this kinda crap i helped 4 friends and worked out
Good luck
BTW: the best way to inspect for this take a picture of the socket then you see it on the laptop or whatever cauz at eye very difficult so see
Best of lucks
Sergio
sadly both BIOS have 3209 on them :( ....and no there is no bent pins or malfunctions when it comes to the CPU and the way it is installed. Is it possible to use ROG connect and use an older BIOS?
New bios from Asus for MIVE-Z, but nothing for MIVE (i think MIVE-Z update fixed W8RP problems, cpu microcode might have been updated).
Did throw some SS cooling for i7 2600k, cannot get over 5.0Ghz to boot to windows, even at 1.6volts... grrrr.... i7 3770k goes happily to 5.4Ghz in Z77 board.
Yes i have
It goes 4.9Ghz 1.315v and 5.0Ghz with 1.325v so it should be able to do 5.1Ghz with 1.4v easelly but no it wont do it.
