yea, im thinking that 3GHz is possible with my cpu because i can bench and browse, but prime fails in 1 second. gotta find a way to fix that, lol.
you may need to use some h2o. i would guess that if you can drop your current load temps to mid 40's, you might be able to reach 3ghz. although, your chip may just hit a wall before that. it would be tough to get your temps that low though. i definatly think you need to lower those temps quite a bit though.Quote:

i don't know man, i figure that if prime fails immediatly, i probably shouldn't be able to play UT2004 for 2 hours after taht.Quote:

i dont think its normal because usually, windows will under report your voltages not the other way around. check if you have any auto vid special or sumthing enabled. i think thats what its called.Quote:

wouldn't gaming stress the memory controller? therefore causing a similar failure? especially with this CCBWE 0604.
Your memory controller funk on that one?Quote:

What do you mean?
Yeah it would stress the mem controller, that's not necessarily the part that's causing the failure in prime
(to itznfb)
well the small fft in prime stresses the cpu
large fft stresses more memory
blend stresses both pretty good. So if it fails blend and large, but not small fft, then it has more to do with your ram or memory controller.
i figure the main failure point on these chips would be the odmc. therefore, it would fail in games just as quick as prime. i may be wrong, i am admittedly an AMD nube.
Additional Comment:
plus it seems the majority of CCBWE have weak odmc
With some good h2o on a naked die you should be able to load in the high 30s, given a 20-22c ambient.Quote:

All the other sellers are trying to get between $380-$500 for this processor. I would hurry up and swoop them up before I get my hands on all of them.

0610DPMW i assume?
Yeah, sorry :slap: It's Repoman's old CPU.Quote:

Y does everybody with a DFI have exceptionally low temps? No way the cpu is only 34c, especially with the opties even on water.
it can be as much as 8C under read.
I'm not sure. I just took out my 144 and put in my 165 and temps dropped 6-7C even though I just added another core  It could be better contact with block or the fact that it's only getting <1.4V Either way, I doubt that the 34C is accurate, prolly about 5C higher.Quote:
