too expensive.
Having big problems with 3D-apps. The computer crashes when I try to run 3D with clocks over 220-230 (depends on app) on the memory. I can run prime and memtest all day long with 10x260 1:1.
Tried both bioses
Specs:
7800GT (tried 81.85 and 81.87, tested 77.72 but when I tried to install it says that it couldn't find any compatible hardware?)
OCZ gold pc3200 (rev3, bh-5 i think)
Settings in bios:
wil test soon for max 3d stabel withe tis bord ;) .
nice test sampsa :slobber:
I am trying the new bios now.
Feel free to post results soon :toast:Quote:

withe the new bios http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Downloa...FLAG=B&SITE=US i can do 350htt so low htt i dont think soQuote:

Anyone has Ballistix results?
cool, sold.
OK, after the release of this new bios and seeing as it apparently fixes some issues, I went ahead and ordered one of these coupled with a X1800XL -- while waiting for sweeter things ;)
The board should be here by tomorrow or monday. The X1800XL has already arrived.

Im testing the bios, results and thoughts soon. I also opened up all the dram options from 2.38V to 4.15V with the missing steps inbetween.
As soon as i am happy its ok I will post it.
i have some results over at dfi-streets.
Basically, my 2 x 1GB Ballistix are doing 270HTT 1:1 at 2.8v (2.73 smartguardian readings) dual channel with 3-3-3-7-1T timings (everything is on auto, except the timings are set manually). But the everest and sandra readings are quite low. Reads are only at around 5600 MB/s. Remember, that's at 270HTT. At stock, i get about 4200. Don't know what's going on.
As far as the new BIOS goes, it didn't seem to fix much. The board still won't post after exiting the BIOS (saving changes or not) when the system is overclcoked. When it's at stock seetings, the board posts fine with the new BIOS.
And it does occasionally hang for no apparent reasons. At 100% prime95 stable settings, the board will hang at post like 2 out of 10 times. At anything over 270HTT, it becomes unstable during POST. It will hang half the time at post, but once it gets into windows, it's prime95 stable.
even with dividers you get the stability issue?
yeah, it's not ram related. It's not really a stability issue, it's just it won't post half the time. I tried 300HTT x 9 with a 3/2 mem CPU/MEM divier, and the board would not post half the time, but once it did, it was prime95 stable.
So it can do high HTT, it just hangs at POST a lot. I have no idea why.
sounds like youve got a dud maxt
I'll RMA it if that's the case, but it just seems like a BIOS issue, which is obviously in the very beginning stages. I am running rock solid stable at 270HTT right now. It hangs during post maybe 1 or 2 times out of every 10 reboots. But i haven't had a lockup yet gaming, or priming.
The board is definitely not worth 200$ though, not in its current state anyway.
The board really improved with the new 1102 Bios,
Now, booting at 300HTT is not a problem and is superpi stable a 345HTT, as you can see:D

This old FX-55 is nothing special in terms of very high HTT, if I remember does not give more on the SLI-DR ..
That was a big improvement just for the 1st bios update, so this motherboard really have a lot of potential
No problems on exit on bios at all or any other freezing ..
I will try the board with some Opterons and also in phase maybe this weekend :)
Here is a quick test DFI RDX200 CF new Bios + Opteron 144 OEM (CABGE0536) air cooled by an Zalman 7000u

SuperPI benchable at this speed :

Not bad for a $140 CPU :D
Really big improvement with new Bios, I think it is time to put this moterboard on phase :)
OK, as promised here they are the first benchs with this board on phase ..
Not a prob to mount it on the Vapo LS
http://pedrorocha.planetaclix.pt/DFI_ATI_onVapoLS.jpg
I used this CPU - an CABGE not exactly the best stteping in term of overclocking ..
http://pedrorocha.planetaclix.pt/CPU_stepping.jpg
And I imediatly get this SuperPI benchable..with only 1.64v on the cpu core ..s

I'm really amazed, becuase with this CPU on this Vapo on the DFI SLI DR (Nforce4) I need at least 1.75v on the core to get this speed SuperPI benchable, as you can see..
http://pedrorocha.planetaclix.pt/Opteron150_3451.jpg
This means that DFI RDX200 CF with the new Bios needs a lot less voltage on the CPU core to get the same speed Superpi benchable
This motherboard really have great OC potential ..an this as just the 1st Bios upgrade :D
Bravo DFI ..good work
That makes these boards look much more appealing now Pedro. Thanks for sharing. :toast:
Well lets see how things go as time goes on
didt some 3dmarking today :D .

the x800GTO² @ 16pipes is good card but i have a bad oc core :( ,
but soon some x1800xt benches ;) .
noting tweakt . my cpu fly's on this bord  , idd nice work dfi
OK. I'm convinced with this board - 3.500Mhz SuperPI bench with this Opteron 150 on the Vapo.. :)

No way I can do this with same cpu and cooling with the SLI D, the maximum was around 3.460 with much more voltage - clear advantage for the DFI RDX200
