I have 2 x .37A fans im about to run up on another channel and see what happens.
It would be nice for someone to make some testing scheme that gradually rises power usage in each channel and to test AA5 in all three cooling modes to find out maximum handled output values in numbers (no cooling|passive heatsink|waterblock).
And while Shoggy wrote that due to possible different clearances using TIM paste instead of thermal pads on waterblock is not advised .. imho with some care it could be tested too, after all, AA5's schematics monitor temps and can switch off in case of overheat anyway.
Well the answer is...............
3 x 370mA fans at 4.4v drawing 300mA and 2 x D5 pumps at 7v is the safe limit with the shared 3&4 channels heating to 85c. Adding a 4th fan on the channel pushes it to draw 420mA and right on 95c.
Test Config
Ch1 Waterflow meter 68c
Ch2 1 x D5 running @ 7v 800mA 68c
Ch3 3 x 370mA fans running at 4.4v 300mA 85c
Ch4 1 x D5 running @ 7v 800mA 85c
This means in theory you could run 2 x D5s and 6 x 370mA fans across the other 2 channels. (i have a flow meter on ch1 which you could theoretically put another 3 fans on)
Maybe try to put fans on Ch1 as well instead of flow meter (and move one of D5 to it, to make them even more apart)
Problem is the PA2's dont accurately measure the Koolance flow meters where as the A5 does. Otherwise I would be using Ch1 for something more useful.

How should I connect Aquaero XT, Aquaero LT and PA2.
PA2 must be connected via aquabus high so AE LT to aquabus low or vice versa?
@Paradoxxx: adjusting the fans to the temperature of the CPU/GPU will not make much sense. For example if you start a large program it will give a full load for a few seconds and the temperature will rise up - but also speeding up the fans in this scenario is worthless because the water temperature will not have changed at all in this short period.

@mBrane: sure, all fan channels can monitor the rpm signal - no matter if a fan/pump is connected to them or not.
@NKrader: using a poweradjust 2 standard for this setup would solve some "problems". When using two flow sensors directly on the aquaero you will have to reconfigure fan channel 1 for this so you will lose it for fans or a pump and will end up with three of them for two pumps and two groups of fans. With the poweradjust you can connect the second flow sensor there so it will not block fan channel 1 on the aquaero and since the poweradjust itself offers a powerful output you have 5 outputs now.
@pociej: an aquaero LT can not be connected to another aquaero. You have to use USB. Using an aquaero LT as a slave device is an idea which will take some time before it becomes reality.

It is very likely that we will offer a new Beta 3 tomorrow. We were able to solve several problems that prevent the aquasuite 2012 to start on some PCs. There are also some other bug fixes.
Shoggy, any planned shipping date for poweradjust2 standard ? I received the faceplate but not my PA2 yet ;)
Also do i need any extra cable to connect the PA2 and AE5 ? Or everything is included ?
Have you ordered it directly from us? If so you can drop me a PM with your order number. AFAIK there are only ultra variants in stock but I can easily change them to a standard to get your order shipped. The necessary 3-pin cable for aquabus comes with the PA2.

Right - With a HUUGE risk of sounding like a noob :p: - Can anyone tell me how to set this thing up so that Fans 1 (for example) turn up and down with the water temp pretty please? No manual makes it all that bit confuzzling.

It may not be ideal but I think it can work, the fan speed can be set to "incrementally" increase with time right? During the start of the large program the fan speed will increase just a little and then return to normal. Or in the case of gaming, my GPU temps are usually at 37C idle, upon load it rises +10C as such I can increase fan speeds accordingly. If there was a flow/temp sensor all in one I would consider purchasing one.Quote:

Its pretty simple
First name your water temp sensor something useful like Water Temp1 and then setup a controller and name it something useful like Ch1 Fans.
Select the type of controller you want, for example use a set point controller to set the ideal temp for your water and then assign the water loop temp sensor to that controller.
You may want to set minimum power or rpm settings for the fan so that it wont stop completely if water temp is under your target temp. You will also need to check the hold minimum power check box for this to work.
Thats all i can do to help while at work. If you have problems I'll give you a detailed menu instruction when I have some time.
It sounds fine in theory but in practice it doesnt really do anything except create noise. It takes a good few seconds (if not minutes depending on your setup) for water temp to be effected whether being cooled or heated sufficiently to effect the operating temp of the CPU or GPU.
Using Water temp is a much smoother way of controlling fan speeds. I suppose you could have a max temp setting for the GPU temp and trigger a full speed fan alarm event as a back up to the normal controller/sensor for the GPU.
