Great news then ... lowest vid I saw in a Q9550 was like 1.2125

It's not the lowest.
My L847C219 is 1.2375 VID by the way. Still dialing in the voltages for 4Ghz :)
Ok guys here it is...

Well, reinstalling windows 7 now. Stupid raids.
Ended up getting the p5q turbo. I actually really like it so far! A lot better than the p5k in my server.
Also, chad, I know i'm not overclocking but my vid still dropped with speedstep turned off. I had to run a load to get a reliable number. Even then it changed every few seconds.
Hell when I was screwing with the crappy settings with the 750i I was able to start and run with a .9 something voltage!
If you want to know the vid use realtemp, it shows both min and max so theres no guessing.
Here is the real temp numbers. I am going to be selling this chip, since I will not be able to take full advantage of what it will offer under Phase or Ln2.

Just got everything in and setup.
No clue how stable it is yet, I have no clue what i'm doing haha. I'm running intelburntest.

I'm very happy of succeeding 3h of OCCT.
377*8.5 was stable with a very low vcore but 400*8 wasn't, I thought that the northbridge and the FSB were the cause, I set 1.26V for vnb and vtt, and 1.225 vcore (1.20V via cpuz and 1.17V load).
Ambiant T° : 27°C.

Cant Wait For End Of Week For Testing :D
Hey all, I'm planning on grabbing a Q9550 from my local microcenter and wanted to know if its possible to hit 4ghz with a P5Q-E (chipset rev. A2, if that matters)?
My validation :
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=669234
As C1E is enabled, I had to run cinebench to get the real frequency, so this is the vcore under load (1.17V), whereas the idle vcore is around 1.20V.
I expect that many people will say that 3h of OCCT ain't enough, but for a use like mine, I think that 3h is enough.

you should have know problem booting up at 4.0ghz but you have to work to keep it stable..when you go to micro center ask the saleman to see if they all are the same batch numbers and how many he has pick a good 1 and please post your batch number and born on date for us..me and CincyRob on here got the same batch number and everything cause there was 13 left of the same at the time at are local micro center here in Cinncinnati..I wanna see if your store and my store got the same batch numbers by chance or close to it :yepp:
you should have the C1E disabled to get the correct freguency along with the CIET Function also or you will be throttled..i believe a test with intelburentest will
clear you of a stable chip if you pass the test after words run it thru a few hours of Orthos that's what..i do and Sandra to check my (mips) hey magnum
you should be sitting on 3.9 like me but it did take me some volts to get it stable there..I gotta work on lowering it down some best of luck my friend
hey best of luck with the board you got.hey can you post a link to that PSU you are talking about getting also?
Thanks
