Thanks alot Sergio, i guess you tested this BIOS and its working good, (regarding oc) just one more question possible to downgrarde with 2302?
after some testing, I can tell the difference between the 2 bioser 1409/3202
has a I7 2600k x56
with bios 1409, I have the x56 CPU
and whit 3202 is max x55, but then high bandwidth on my mem
So people are probably complaining because they have lost a multi-
is there a better a 1409 to oc, because with 1409, I have a problem with blck oc
when I start the PC up, start it x2 before it goes into a win when I'm fiddling with blck
Hi,
Anyone else having bclk issues after 103? Mine just stops after the windows logo screen and stalls. I have to just hit reset, trying to see if anyone else has or seen this issue. And what they did to correct it? Running bios 1004 also. Thanks
you should be reading this thread http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1041
highest i went so far was 107 and was easy
Any ideias if m4e or gene-z's bios's have support for more multi changes in ivy bridge ? Some guys went around having problems with them. If they do can someone pm with a link for a more updated version ? Because I"ll have to play with one and I don't have any board support so I am a bit on the dark here
its a very good bios but the one Martin is using borked us mobo chips, OC nub destroyed both bios chips after flashing 3202 and even you can use rog his wont go over stock he cant change multi, and me i can up blck, i put 109 (wich i use to do easy) and PC wwould post and windows still showing 50x100
im mad i was so stupid to try that 3202
to downgrade u can use asus flash but if you put the crap 3202 u must use rog connect wich for sure will result on borked bios at least that was our experience
no Martin the only person that this bios worked is you for the rest of us we end really bad, so please stop saying that good as ppl will try to flash, even we did it and we are experienced, but some other ppl can read this thread and may destroy their mobo easy
keep it for you if good
I have been thinking about flashing it as that is bios that is required for Ivy support I believe, but man both you and OC Nub have me scared to do so, but I figure I can just RMA the board if it is flaky afterwards.
however this makes me feel a bit better:
IVY is supported on 2302, the 3202 was the problem l0ud i recommend for all the ppl here new or old that STAY AWAY for it...cost me 2 chips that didnt arrive yet and dunno if that will solve the problem or something was damaged whatever...my old x56 use to do 108x56 easy this new x56 do 109x and none will boot at that anymore after the damn 3202, i just can do it inside windows...with AI SUITE
^ Cant wait to give it a try!
Got a few kits ready to go, cant wait to see 2600+
So, i should only be using BIOS 2302.
Took half year old Maximus IV Extreme-Z out of closet and...
I hate this donkey gonkey board.. Intel Core i7 2600k @ 5ghz 1.375v (50x100) boots windows and is LinX/IBT and Prime64 stable for 24hours, yet it refuces to boot into windows with 1.5v and 51x, 52x, 53x, 54x, 55x and 56x, it goes bios fine with all of those multipliers.
Cooling aint problem since its LittleDevil PC-V10 case with phase unit.
Guess i will be checking out older bioses.
"Internal PLL overvoltage enabled"????
Yes, Internal PLL Overvoltage is Enabled.
I just flashed bios from 27 December 2011, hopefully its working better than 0210 and 3203.
Ill take shots from bios settings.
EDIT :
Bumped up BCLK to 100.5 (boots into bios even with 110 bclk), Boot into Windows, within 10seconds of opening CPU-Z it threw BSOD 0x1E.
I went and increased vCore from 1.375 to 1.425 witch resulted to BSOD 0x124 (VTT or vCore too high or low)
Screenshots taken before increasing BCLK to 100.5
http://imageshack.us/g/220/120413204500.png/
No idea why it doesnt work 5025Mhz when it does work with 5000Mhz and even significantly lower voltage.
Something fishy going on with this Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z, maybe could be something related to ACHI or Graphics problems since it should change to login screen of windows exactly same moment when it crashes.
I also flashed to the 3202 bios and it killed one of my bios chips. Board runs fine on the second bios chip. I bought a new MIVE bios chip which arrived last week but I haven't installed it yet. Will do it tonight or tomorrow and report back if putting a new bios chip in fixes the issue that 3202 caused.
Just been to busy playing with SB-E and Rampage IV Gene.
My bowth bios chips are functional and 3202 flash didnt kill the first bios chip, so im good with it.
EDIT: Received BSOD 0x9C, will be lowering VTT and checking out if it helps since its allready at 1.2v and i dont want to go higer.
Well, i am playing with my M4E P67 B3 + BIOS 3202 + i7 3770K... 2200mhz is possible.
Trying to boot with 2400mhz but in 5min its hard to say if its or not possible.
really, block used for them clocks ? 2400 div then ?
35x 104.22Mhz,because i was getting CPU ratio limited at 35x.
Had to uncheck "Safeboot" and let the SO install the New CPU drivers... only remembered that today.
Yes! my freind !
Its all CPU/Memory controler dependent... I already suspected that.
108 BCLK on air easy.
I have been running my b2 2600k @5ghz 1.4vcore. I got the chance to get a b3 board for a great price and jumped on it. Now I can't get stable @ 4.6. Anyone go from a b2 to b3 and have to change settings?
i never heard of MIVE B2 but yes B3 changed normally needed a bit more vcore what bios are u running and what settings
here mine for 5GHz HT 2133 9-10-10-28 1T mem 8GB
all settings on bios
vcore 1,415
vdimm 1,5
vccio 1,08125
vccsa 0,95
pll 1,8
internal PLL disabled (depends on chip)
LLC 75%
VRM 350
C1E and EIST enabled
cheers and hope u get it stable
Sergio
I think now i can post someting about ivy...
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/8...11726spi8m.png
why only 4C 4T @ 4,3ghz ?
Alright, been messing with my M4E and 2600K. I'm having trouble getting 5.0 stable at regular voltages and temps. I can get it Prime95 stable at 1.5V and 88C (on liquid...), but that's not ideal obviously. Opinions?
(I did try the settings listed a few posts up, but no luck)
obviously your chip is not as good as the chips from the other members here, so take your multi and voltage down until your chip is stable again
5ghz prime @ 88c load? You must be at like 1.6v or something if youre watercooled. Something wrong there. What's your loop and ambient?
New Bios 3208 @ asus site. Kinda weird updating, did like 2 updates, one on ez utility, and anotherone after reboot. Looks good in the first impression. Didn't try nothing fancy. Cheers.
i updated and keep getting error 72 on LCD...i even tried ROG update and still the same :(
***something's very wrong i used all methods and same 72 error...
What controller to use on this mobo, regarding lan ones?
Which is better quality and why?
BIOS 3202 did exactly the same.
like 2 or 3 updates, looked like it was 2.
1 before reboot, another after reboot, but it was weird update i was think, omg the update gone wrong, waited a minute and tchanan... second update and it was ready to go with my ivy.
What the change log on this one ?
well i must say that this BIOS finally borked my first BIOS chip...i have 2 replacement and how funny NONE of both chips from EBAY on the link on this page works PC on off endless boot loop im MAD cant believe this crap...i took the original bios with an extractor and one leg broke, so im on only one bios
this are the chips catalogued for MIVE on EBAY
to the LEFT EBAY chip to the RIGHT original MIVE BIOS i think i will have to solder that leg and put it :(

PLEASE ASUS FIX the 3XXX bios they're really bad !!!
I bought the same MIVE bios chip off ebay as you did "Winbond" and doesnt work for me either. Fans just spin for second then off over and over. I told the seller and he sent me another one free of charge but still the same issue. Anyone know where to get working replacement bios chips?
Its a B3
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk 2
would like to Asus help us get the chips as seems the ebay ones are not correct...tested 2 none works...
Hey guys...
Cause i sold my sandy bridge, can i flash mive's bios while a 3770k is installed?
I have no idea. Once I receive the first chip and it didnt work I thought it was a fluke so I contacted the seller before leaving feedback and he said he would send me a second chip and said the first must have been a bios issue. I received the second chip and it does the same as the first, just doesnt work. I am going to message him again now and ask for a full refund of my large amount I paid of $6.00. Haha. Heres some pics of the ones I got from the ebay guy.
Would love to know where I could get a working replacement chip.

andressergio did you buy your chips from ebay user "biosdepot"??
yes deachus not working same issue as you PC turns on and off endless on 2 i tested...seems all dealers have the same and all ppl same issue i reported to the seller why selling this cauz they dont work...i guess our best bet is found someone with a dead mive...with 2 BIOS chips working but it aint easy :/
yeah i would love to but Asus is kinda rough on this, if i say to raja asus this he will say RMA...im in South America and this is very easy taking a chip like this and put a flashed one...

Hey guys,
one of the stickers on my mobo (the one on the SATA ports) accidently got ripped when I was routing my cables. But another sticker on the back is fine. Would I have any problem if I need to RMA the board? Which sticker is the actual serial number?
P.S. Who the hell put stickers in such place?
asus of course lol

Any issue about flashing board's bios?
no :) IT is ok
so the new bios 3208 are crap for 2600k?
Ensure system is 100% stable before flashing!
1) Flash from EZ Flash 2 using a FAT32 formatted USB drive. Make sure you flash from EZ Flash 2 only and NOT Windows!
2) You will need to let the system flash twice. Flash the first time, when the flash completes follow the onscreen prompt to reboot.
3) Second flash will commence when the board re-BOOTs, should find the file automatically and flash it (this flash wil update the ME fw while the first flash updates UEFI).
4) After the second flash completes, follow the onscreen prompts, power down the system at mains (AC) and clear CMOS (Clear RTC) for 5 seconds before using the system again.
If you have issues with the flash contact your local ASUS service centre for assistance. If you are located in North America then follow these URLs:

I was just wondering if anyone else gets a A0 code (instead of AA) after flashing the bios to rev. 3208?
in bed well that there are 2 bios on the motherboard, and that only flasher on the stand, so it's just pushing the button
Hey Raja there are some people requesting your help. [ http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...-your-help-plz ]
Bios 3202 look that has been problematic for some users, and for the people who lives outside USA a RMA of the board is virtually impossible. We need to know where to get some good working bios chips. Thanks.
I've successfully flashed to 3208 per Raja's steps. It will be interesting to compare IB overclocking on P67 to my Z77 board.
Contact local support in your region as stated earlier. Each country has a different path of contact. I only deal with NA and I posted the URLs for the NA region in this thread earlier. If users type their region and ASUS into Google they should find a path of contact or they may need to contact their reseller and do it that way depending on their location.
Just in case you missed them, here are the NA URLs again:

andressergio, I received an e-mail from ebay seller biosdepot last week informing me that he tried a new programming method and has sent me a 3rd bios chip (free of charge of course) to try and report back to him. He said he would give me a full refund if this 3rd chip didnt work. I will report back after I receive it this week.
maybe this one can also help you with the bios chips. got the link from a overclocking team member. should not be the problem to flash of one of these bios chips with your needed version.
