Argh... the F9 BIOS really isn't that good either, I'm thinking of reverting to F6. They haven't released a good BIOS for the UD3R for quite some time.
Nothing that I know of but when he said he thought it maybe a corrupted file and this problem has been going on for almost a year, I was wondering how long he goes before doing a fresh install. I had some issues with my DQ6 when switching from the ud3p on the same install, I uninstalled my ud3p drivers and installed new ones but still wouldn't run right (being lazy), had to do a fresh install and it worked like it was suppose to after. I know some people don't format when they get a new motherboard, just change to the new drivers. Sometimes you can run into problems this way.
If I had to bet, I would say it is his memory, even if he tried a different set. I have 3 ud3p boards, 2 rev 1.1's and a rev 1.0. One of the rev 1.1 boards will not let me boot with 2 sticks of my g.skill 9600pi's, have to boot first with a single stick, clock it where i want and then can add the second stick but becomes unstable, the same mem in my other boards is fine and passes memtest and blend. In that same board my 1066 g.skill, ocz reapers, ocz lv plats and mushkin redlines all work fine. Something isn't right with his setup, he has had more than 1 board with the same issue and the guy he got this one from said he had it running in dual channel with no problems.
Hey maybe u should try something ...Quote:
I like the board and its overclockability. I just wish i could get dual channel memory going. Funny thing is, I bought this one from a member here and he said he had no issue running dual channel mode, so I have no freaking clue why it would work for him but not for me.
take an Eraser (u know the one u use in school to erase pencil...) and clean ur ram sticks , make it shine. >>> http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9...inators.th.jpg
anyway ... i have somekind of volt problem ... i own p45-ud3p + q6600.
seems like i can't use any more than 1.5930 Vcore .
for example i can run my system stable at 1.5930 Vcore @ 3.8ghz but if i use the same setting for 3.8ghz with like 1.6 vcore and above ... it wont even boot to windows :s .
i really want to hit 4ghz and i know my chip can do it .
sorry, bad english .
It was not a big issue but now that I am doing a lot more rendering and photoshopping, I need all the ram I can get.
I have done a fresh install before, even bought a new hdd and did a new install...it doesn't work. originally everything worked great on my second board(first one was DOA) and then one day the board would not boot. I took out a stick and it ran since. After a while, I bought another board, a rev 1.1 hoping it would be fixed. It did not. I bought a new hdd and did a new install and it still would not work. I bought this last board from a member here who had it running in dual channel. This time, I did not do a fresh install however. I may pull my raptor drive back out, do a fresh install and see what happens. At some point, I don't think a fresh install should be the answer to this kind of issue. Others have had it with the same motherboard.
Great second post dude...(that is sarcasm by the way). Don't you think I have tried all of that? Scroll through the 200 pages then come in and give me advice, thanks.
cloo007, it sounds like if you've gone through that much trouble with all of the other hardware, it's time to RMA/get new RAM. I hate to say it, but there seems to be no other explanation for the problem, other than maybe an issue with the processor. Speaking of which, have you swapped the processors?
So what to get on UD3R rev1.1 board? I flashed one and have not tested others, any suggestions? What about that GA-EP45-UD3R - F12e?
Maybe there is better older one?
F10j = faster boot for me too! :)
stasio
bios F10j shows on every reboot "veryfing DMI pool data"...for a sec
F10i didnt ?
what is it ?
Cheers

On the verge of owning one of these at last... went for a v1.6 board in the end as I've seen some impressive clocks with these. Will probably have to wait a week or so, but I'll be posting here a tad more soon :)
Hi guys,
I'm setting up a system for my wife and need some E8600 settings, I'm a C2D noob, looking for:
SKEWS
and
REF's
That info will save me a huge amount of time.
Hi Nub, thanks I saw his post: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=3645
But he never tweaked the Advanced Clock Control settings like skews I pmed him.
Jor: It has been a long time since used my 8400, I cant remember the skews or many of the settings.
If you get bored and want to try for some new WR benches on a different quad let me know. My q9550 is bored sitting in the box it came in, I think it has potential for greatness for someone with better skills and cooling, its a pretty cool running 1.2125vid. Not trying to sell, will send it to you, I want to see what it can do.
Great!!! Will send it out next week.
My best oc with that chip on the dq6, no vmod.

hello all,
just got the GA-EP45-UD3P, and had a few questions of putting my computer
together...(kind of new at it, so please go easy)
i'm going to use my old Antec PLUS1080AMG case and my PSU is Corsair HX620.
so here's the questions:
- the Power LED connection from the case's front panel connections is 3 pin, but on the mobo, the Front Panel Header connection is only 2 pin....what to do?
- my old PSU Antec Truepower 430w (came with case) has a 3 pin 'PSU Fan Monitor Connection' that plugged into my old mobo(Asus P4P800).....
but my new Corsair PSU does not have a 3 pin PWR fan cable to plug into the 3 pin PWR FAN connection on the UD3P mobo....does it matter?
btw, what do i plug into the 3 pin SYS FAN1 and 4 pin SYS FAN2 on the mobo?
hope you guys can help, thanks in advance.
