make sure to set the MCH Ref to 0.800, I can't pass this test unless I use 0.800 MCH Ref, First set 1.200VTT, set the MCH Ref to 0.800 and up your VTT to 1.360 again, the MCH ref will raise automatically when you bump your VTT
yes i did that, pl10 will go for 10 hours, pl9 crushes, and is only fsb 475 1:1 ratio when the memory is rate for 1066 with 5-5-5-15 so it shoudn't be a problem.
Now i am trying with mch 1.38 with pl9
how much ram you using?if your using 2x2GB kit
you might need 1.40v-1.44v mch with Quad core
This is my setup and i can say i am proud of it. I just got both cpu and TRUE lapped.

yea thats what i figured but since im on 2x1GB at the moment
i couldnt remember where the average was for 2x2GB for the
2.00D 1:1 setting.i was going to say 1.42v to 1.46v but i decided
to be conservative:D
tnks guys, can it handle the stock cooling such a big vmch 1.4 ? 1.4 is enough for me, it seems, for being prime95 X64 stable 12h . I was worried that i am the only one who needs to push such high vmch for only 475 fsb on the 2.00D strap.
i use a 40mm or 60mm fan blowing on the NB heatsink.
It can handle it but that is pretty high, Id also put a fan on it to help out. I honestly wouldnt think you would need that kind of voltage at only 475fsb and 1:1 D strap. My board may or may not be average but it only needs 1.32 mch to run my 2x2 blades on 2.00D at 489fsb PL8.
it seems i just have crappy memory and motherboard:mad:, btw i don't wanna remove the blue top from the nb cooler, so adding a small fan to blow over it will make any difference?
Maybe not, try dropping the mch skew back to 0 and some lower voltages. Mine only needs to the 50 skew when at around 500fsb and 1200+ memory.
You need to cool the mosfets above the CPU. These will cause crashes once they reach certain temps or just explode one of the two LOL.
DRAM Termination and DRAM Ref, what exactly they do?
I'm working on my OC 500x8.5 Q9550, and it will freeze hyperpi if I leave the DRAM Termination/Ref on Auto, If I change them to Normal, Hyperpi will pass normally, is that because my ram or the Auto settings put wrong values?
This is with Mushkin 4GB DDR2 1066
current settings:
This settings pass, but I set DRAM Termination to Auto/ Channel A\B Ref to Auto, it will freeze the PC just after 2 min with HyperpiQuote:

i dont know exactly what they do but normal should
set these to 50% of the rams vdimm.
so i dont know what to tell except just set it to normal
yeap very nice cpu, an yes with pl10 i can go with less vmch 2, but with pl9 i need @ least 1.38 and still i am not prime stable, cause i got an round error on the first core after 9 hours . I guess that is also because of the temperatures, case closed only 1 exhaust fan and mugen 2 cpu cooler with stock fan. I am happy for now @ 4ghz with 1.34 vcore, 1.34vtt, 1.38vmch, mch / dram ref @ 1.03, . I guess 9 hours of prime is enough , cause i wont be primeing 24/7. The other 3 cores kept going without a problem for 11hours.
What is is with enable c3 and c4 state option in bios? does it save energy?
Due to my high vid chip needing 1.4v+ to be stable at 4.30GHz and above, i settled at 467x9 24/7. But i thought i should go for higher bandwidth so i dropped the multi to 8.5 and ramped up the FSB. Although i'm finding it hard to get anything stable above 485 FSB with this multi, i'm not sure why  anyone know? I'm pretty sure the RAM and CPU are stable, increasing VTT and MCH didn't help at all.
On another note, i started messing around with the 266 (A) strap. I get about ~400mb increase in read bandwidth over the 333strap :D Its quite hard to get anything above 467fsb stable with it, but i managed to boot higher. I went for max clock with super tight subtimings, strap and PL. Check this :

Needed about 1.50v MCH to get it to boot and do some benches though, and i had vdimm at 2.0v
My CPU would actually just stop responding the whole PC would lock up when I didn't have a fan on my Mosfets and the heat sink on them almost got hot enough to blister me when I felt them after benching for stability.
@Radaja: Exactly except mine is stable at auto not normal??
Hi guys, i have a question. Since some time i see some kind of strange behaviour from my board (P45 UD3P).
For example, i run 333x6 @ 1.1 MCH / 0.95VCore. Eveything is smooth, but if i wanna change to 333x9.5 @ 1.1 MCH / 1.1VCore it sometimes fail to boot and it keep restarting and restarting over and over again. I have to power it off and then power it on again and it works. Voltages/setups are 300% working, this is not the the problem, i have 3-4 setups rock solid (2GHz @ 1.1 MCH / 0.91VC, 3.16GHz @ 1.1MCH / 1.1 VC, 3.8 GHz @ 1.18-1.2 MCH / 1.184 VC, 4.03 GHz @ 1.22-1.24 MCH / 1.23 VC, setups which i use depending of my needs. What is the problem ?
I don't see any logical reason to fail sometimes when passing from a lower clock to a higher clock setup when every voltage is perfect (especially since these clocks are daily use clocks, not uber high and has been tested hard to prove 101% stability). Memory is set @ DDR2 800 @ 1.8V or around DDR2 1000-1100 @ 2.06-2.2V, performance level is quite loose, PL8-9. Has anyone of you encountered this problem ? A BIOS update may be a solution ?
my board does the same thing.while im OC if i load optimal
defaults it just powers on and off until i flip the power button
same thing when i change my OC the first boot just powers
on and off till i flip the psu button.at first i thought my OC's
were failing till i did this and then it boots my OC right up.
its a strange quirk i admit but i can live with it.as long as
i can still OC the hell out of my cpu:D
the first time i noticed it,all i did was change the advance cpu
settings to disabled and it went into the reboot cycle.i thought
thats strange, but like i said once i flipped the switch everything
was ok:up:not sure if my other boards did this though.
here is my 24/7, vcore 1.33, vtt 1.36, mch 1.38, vdim 2.16, pl9, 2.00d strap

Just for reference, both EP45-UD3P's I have used suffered from the "Intel OC Boot Issue" but I gladly dealt with it in exchange for using the badass board :D
hey guys for the stuff in my sig can anyone give me a quick shot of what some of the basic settings on this board should be and how much is too much on mch and all that? whats a good setting to start up with on phase with a SLACR quad
