Man that SLI mod is cool as hell
Thinking of swapping out my GA-EP45-UD3R with a GA-EP45C-UD3R...do you think I will need to re-install Win XP or since it's the same chipset and hardware (other than DDR3 RamI'll be switching to also)? My DDR3 system at work feels just so much smoother that I'm getting dissappointed with my home pc. I'm thinking it also maybemy Seagate HD that might also be the issue, I'm not sure. Any comments or suggestions welcome.
OH what the hell, why not. You only love once. I just ordered a GA-EP45C-UD3R and some G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1600 to pair with it. Should be an improvement over my current GA-EP45-UD3R and DDR2-1200. Work PC setup has me spoiled.
On a side note, I really hate Neweggs price fluctuations from day to day and week to week. Worse than oil sometimes!
i got my Q9650 today
and its a good one.
fired it up using my old settings for
my other Q9650,adjusted the vcore
and got this.:D

go back to i7 radaja send me that cpu lol
maybe i will, you never know with me.
cant seem to settle on one thing:rofl:
thanks guys.its batch L836B361.
im on water w/ AC blowing into the rad
so its cold.
i got it to prime with 1.40v in bios.
will post SS soon.heres a pic of the cooling
setup, its not the prettiest but very effective.
after the AC goes throught the rad the 4500rpm
tornado fan blows the cold air down into the case
where the two 4000rpm TT fans keep the rest cool.

parts of it at least.ripped out all the rivets so i could
have a MB tray.just kept the back and sides, and the top
just lays there.no front or hard drive stuff.
This is mine playing some time ago when it was cold outside 13C to 16C taking fresh air form outside lol

Cheers mate fun with your Q9650
Sergio
How do you guys get your wives and girlfriends to tolerate your computing habits? What's your secret?
nice when its cold andressergio.
if prime fails 896k,doesnt that have to do with
the NB and ram?
depends mate can be you need a notch of vcore...for sure is that, what vid is yours ? Oc nub is 1,17 and needed same vcore as me to pass blend long time, it was 1,42+ set on bios mine is 1,1875 and needs 1,43+ set on bios, i think you need a bump and it will pass for hours
Cheers
Sergio
i get to buy all the toys i want

for every 100 i spend on pc parts she gets 1000 in renovations:ROTF:

well im using cellshock pc8500's,i think they have the d9 gmh's.
well i tried raising the mch and vdimm one notch each
and left vcore at 1.406v and this time it made it through.
got to say im very very happy with this cpu:D

Help please
i just noticed that my WCing loop goes
pump/res/cpu/rad.would it be better
to go pump/rad/cpu/res?i had no clue
as to what i was doing when i put it
together.i looked and looked at pics
as to how it should be and i think i
confused myself in the end.but wouldnt
it cool my cpu better comimg straight from
the rad first?
Europa,thanks for the WCing info.
and yes the last three cpu's seem to be
a gift from the cpu gods.before them its
was just average chip's one after another.
KRich thanks,it's so much better than my 1.25 vid Q9650
