A little update on my HD6950 flashed to HD6970 via Bios.
SB 2600K cooled by my Blue Cascade @-85c , 5500Mhz.
HD6950 cooled by water chiller @-21c , 1.42v. via smart doctor for 1100/1547Mhz.
Ranked # 36 in the world , single card in between many many 580s under LN2 :D , this card its becoming a beast.

Guys i just purchased and recieved my second HD6950 and it succesfully unlocked fine and dandy :) to HD6970, but theres a problem when i use smart doctor to apply voltages for both cards running Crossfire it wont stick to both cards :( , it will kick in for the first card but not for the second. How do you guys succesfully apply voltages for both VGAs in crossfire ? Anyone has succesfully has and if yes how or what software you used ? Smart Doctor or Afterburner ? Any guidance and help will be really apreciate it , Thank you in advanced.

There are one or two non reference cards that you can unlock as well, think it was posted earlier in this thread.. But safest bet is reference cards.Quote:

I only tried the 6970 bios on one card and it ran fine for me. I also found the same results with the bios modding script. It worked great on two cards which also hit 880mhz on stock voltage.Quote:

my 6950 flashed fine to 6970 bios and runs 24/7 at 1000core 1500mem at 1.3v..maybe more in the core clock but havent tried over 1000 yet just enjoying it :) before i could bench 950core at stock volts however wouldnt last in black ops for more then 15-20 mins.
i might give 1050 a go and see if i can push out a vantage or something
