I would like to know, about your wiring. What did you do, just replaced the stock cable for a bunch of cables with the same colour and soldered them to the PSU??
It looks absoloutely amazing Ian, I love it. Very unique, I want to copy it now :P

one other thing, SNiiPE. Before installing that granite you said is going to be part of the build, get it checked with a geiger counter. Some granite contains elements that can give off radon gas, which is a very serious health risk and which can cause errors in non-radiation-hardened chips.
Sniipe, I have to hand it to you. You got the presentation down, the creativity and the attention to detail to elevate your builds above most that I've seen. It's really inspiring. Love the music in that video.. very theatrical and really brings the project to life.Quote:

In post 271, you show a pic of the case basically broken down to some of its barest parts.
After looking at some close up pictures of the V2010 and V2110 cases (I don't have either one handy to check in person), it appears that certain parts are fastened together with rivets.
How did you get these apart and/or the rivets taken out? And given the rivets, how do you get it back together again in the end?
Anyways, just curious for my own general knowledge and modding purposes. I was taking a close look at a V2010 last night as a possible WC home, but there are parts on it I'd want to take out or change around and they appear to be areas riveted together.

I've been gone all weekend so this was really nice to come back to and see. as everyone else already said - nice work.
the wiring execution is one of those things where you look at it and think "well, that makes sense." like it was expected to be the next evolution in wiring, we were just waiting for someone to think of it :p: really nice execution on that although I can only imagine how tedious it really was to do all of that. I can't see what else you are going to include in this build, it certainly is an exciting build log to follow!

Sorry to say, but there are always people who did something before :eek:
A German (... :D) had the same solution with ATX to plate in seperate holes in September 2008. Only difference though: he sleeved it and just had three cables visible. Very neat:

Of course he is not a photographer ... just a "solder-man" :D Would have been cool if you would have the part sleeved. But that's just personal taste.

I tapped the res a few days ago, leak tested and everything was great, last night I set up the res in loop with the waterblocks and found that the flow was decreased too much by the EK supreme for the res waterfall effect to work properly. so I talked to Hank today and I got another ddc3.2 and ek-ddc x-top and this rig will be going dual pump! :up: :woot:

Another question for you if you don't mind (I sound like Colombo...).
How much clearance is there between the top edge of the motherboard when mounted in that chassis and the top of the case? Like how many mm distance is it between the two?
I'm asking to get an idea of whether or not there is space there to mount a decent sized rad up there or not, if need be, in a V2010B which is the essentially the same case as yours.
