I used and cancelled immediately. A lot of false errors!

Yup, this is with lowered multi....cpu's ability isn't being stressed at all... any ideas?
I've got the same problem with my E6850 -- BIOS 0107 -- but, I have not yet done the VDroop Mod. Max FSB so far is only 370 with E6850 on 9x multipier. I'll try lowering to 8x
Can I flash back from 0401 to 0107?
Nobody told me 0107 was good, until now anyway!
sparx
Yes you can and yes, I would.
I am still having weird probs wth 500fsb on 0107 so maybe my cpu just isn't that great.... 3.6ghz 1.33v looked promising but oh well! Time for a new one methinks??
I was going to ask.... it seems you guys don't like 0402...
Reasons?
hmm, all my motherboard problems (p5e) where related to bios 0402.
Board went completely unstable and lots of memtest86 1.7 errors.
Come on ASUS, fix this bios please!!
Got corsair xms2 2x1gig 6400c4dhx.
i cant make supreme fx2 work in xp pro X64. it shows up unknown devices , about 5 devices. i cant find drivers for it whatever i googled. has anyone made it work? i thought that it was the same stuff as supreme FX 1
My E6850 doesn't like over 465 MHz FSB with 0107 thus far. That's on 6x multiplier. On the 8x multiplier 453 MHz seems to be max stable OCCT BIOS 0107 2 x 2G G.Skill PC8000. E6850 CPU is L732A417 -- later batch? Later = slower? That's still without VDroop mod - I'll get a pencil & tape tomorrow.
Question:
I'm having issues getting my USB mouse and/or USB keyboard to turn on or "wake-up" this motherboard. I've never had an issue with any ASUS board and I've owned a ton of them. I've got all USB settings enabled and all of the proper APM setting enabled. Any body else having this issue?
I want to be able to hit the space bar or click the mouse to turn on this dang thing and can't get it to work!
UPDATE: So it seems that none of my USB devices have any power when the system is off - even a shutdown from windows. ALSO, everytime I do a shutdown, I get a loud chirp. WTF? Please help!
Why can't my USB mouse or keyboard start this thing?
 Same here... :ROTF:
P.S.: Now i'm testing my new Maximus Formula SE with lates bios... so far no problems.
I'm not hardcore overclocker, i like to run things fast an cool (on air).
So far Q6600 G0 @4x3.2GHz on default voltage and ram on 536MHz (ram needs a bit of tunnig to get it stable).
P.S. 2: You colud use 0303 bios and rename it to P5E.ROM and flash it again like you did before.
If you didn't try that already.
I had a very odd problem when I tryed to run 0402 BIOS. I could not load the sound drivers on to Vista 64bit. The sound worked if I used Microsoft's generic HD sound drivers, but if I tryed to use the correct drivers I would get error code 10, 'drivers could not start'. I tryed all drivers versions available including the latest version 6280 (available on the ftp site), but no luck.
Eventually I flashed back to the shipping BIOS 0107 via the BIOS corruption method and the problem went away.
Any idea's?
BIOS 0303 is better than 0107 for my E6850 -- stable now at 400 MHz FSB and 9x multiplier.
All is working ok including audio on Server 2008 Enterprise 64bit ( with vista 64bit drivers ) bios 0402.
All ... except of this low fsb :censored: ... maybe I will get any dual core cpu to check this...
Can anyone here use there USB keyboard or mouse to power on this board?
I can't.
Is this a problem with the 0402 BIOS?
Brahmzy
I have the USB mouse with 0402, everyone has a USB mouse no pS2 hole for a mouse right?
I saw your post below, sorry I cannot shed any light Brahmzy. :(

I just flashed from 401 to 402 on my P5E ... well, I rebooted and loaded the old OC profile... 463*8 on my 6850... it cant boot now... i am on default
So you CAN use your mouse to turn on the motherboard?
My USB keyboard and mouse work fine - but they won't TURN ON the board if I hit a key or click the mouse buttons - ALL other ASUS boards let you do this.
Reason I care is I've got my box in a semi-closed part of my desk where it's a pain to have to open a door and reach in and push the power button.
