Read what I quoted from samcin. He said that the F4e BIOS killed his mobo. I guess I was wondering if this was a common issue or not, it has nothing to do with who prefers which BIOS.Quote:

I believe DS3 has problems running 1:1 above 505 or so, at least old school D9 chips.
Tested with ram multi, goes to 530 screenshot
Tested lower cpu multi, goes to 520 1:1 screenshot
Max multi 500 32M stable 4-3-2, 505 can't even run 1M any timings
F4 bios
my 6400HZ does 495 4/4/4 with only 2.1v ( 32M ) but nothing stable @ 500 ( even with 5/5/5 or increasing vdimm ) so i have a fsb wall ram :p:Quote:

Seems to be a case of corrupted bios as a result of flashing. Try doing a recovery and/or resetting of bios? In page 15 of this thread, a guy also had a similar problem. Apparently, he got a replacement board.Quote:

Is this newer than the final F4? F4A .. F4C .. F4E .. does Gigabyte go from X--> A? :)Quote:

The F4 bios rocks! Ive just put my new system together (Intel n00b) ....Ds3, 6300 DUO, 2Gb of XMS2 6400 c5 ram & a X1900XT into a HTPC case(silverstone LC14m) all stock volts & im at 450x7 1:1 memory :toast: :woot:
running prime now for hour and its stable so far!
Stock volts as in you set it manually to 1.325? because "normal" automatically raises vcore to adjust to your OC..Quote:

cant remember if bios is manual but this is it, dunno if its over-volting
12v rail & 3.3v rail are really good

actualy you are with 1.39v/1.40v , if you dont want overvolting you have to set vcore manually
BTW: CPU_Z 1.36 already released , use it ;)

mascaras: youre right mate, just changed it to 1.32 & failed prime in 0.0001 seconds :) (cpu was undervolting to 1.29 ) so ive changed it to 1.312 as it says in CPU-Z (1.3250 in bios) priming ok for now (10 mins) Oh I also had to give it 0.1 MCH to solve a booting issue (would only boot up from a button push not a restart.
anyone more tried the F4a for the DS4?!
i will receive my new DS3 from RMA tomorow and for what i read till now the best bios is F3 or F4 FINAL right???
regards
A ver se desta vez nao matas essa DS3 :D ;)Quote:
