That's looking good there. Although , right now I use an Asus P5N32-SLI, the P5WD2 is a much better motherboard in so many ways.
Keep the results coming :)
guys, you're really awesome !
the day you'll find a way to fully activate SLI on a non-Nvidia based motherboard, you'll be slashotted :D
Won't be surprised if the NVIDIA FBI comes knocking on your door.
So, will that work with 2 7800gtx with 66.72 drivers?
So... NVIDIA FBI will have to borrow turn near my door. :p:Quote:

But while I cannot turn on real SLi-mode on it.
Great work Big_Sam, why you didn't post it on overclockers.ru?
So...Quote:

Very nice Sam impressive work you're doing! :toast:
Congrats...See if you can crack it
It's not supposed to work on the P5WD2...Nvidia has a press release on the issue.
Its all very tricky though. Dunno how sli may be different, but for crossfire, you need to fool the software to thinking one of the cards is the crossfire edition cards and it works - meaning you need cf edition bios...OR new drivers.
What I dunno about this is if its the motherboard bios thats enabling the sli or the vid card bios thats doing it. Most likely you're on older drivers for this to work ??
Perkam
Which press release Perham? I would like to here it from the Nvidia Lions mouth.
If they can implement crossfire, there's no reason why SLI should not work especially since Big Sam proved it otherwise.
If all was so simply I now would test 7800GTX on 77.72.Quote:

Does anyone have 2 7800gtxs cards to try? That would be sweet.
Tried many including me... but it does not work, the drivers do not support 7800.Quote:

This is stupid, it's all in the platform detection written into the drivers, nix that and we have what we want. Same with X1800 cold bug that is not a hardware problem. We really need someone who understands and can mod drivers around here.
Good work Sam.
I agree. I posted on several forums including the ones that support Forceware and OMEGA drivers but nadda.Quote:

Well the only Idea I have is to try a manual driver install. That way if the detection is written into the installation program (likely), you can bypass it. Still the driver .DLL's might have some detection as well and that makes things much harder.
It is in the drivers as well for sure. Like "Think" I too would be messing with the drivers if I had a clue. I've bought 3 different Nforce4 intel Ed motherboards, and they pretty much all stink, especially compared to the P5WD2. I had my P5WD2 stable at 370 Mhz fsb (actually did superpi 32M up to 379 Mhz fsb) with my P4 670 and 2x 7800GTX cards in the motherboard.Quote:
