Yep, 2gb. ditto on the tight timings. Those fours are hurting my eyes :(Quote:

what 's the reason you're based on?
unless you can beat up my fx57 which can easily handle GSkill ff for the following bench.

Yeh usually fx57 have superb mem controllers compared to anything on the market. Maybe its a dud?
Yes you're certainly right; just wanna have correct info. :rolleyes:Quote:

I'm sure he meant that THAT FX57 controller wasn't as good as THE ONE at the 4800.
One isolated case... ;)

Can you up the voltage and tighten the timings a little?
OPB maybe he doesn't have a handpicked fx57 rather a random one not unlike what the average joe would ultimately end up with. That alone makes his tests more realistic, believable and attainable. Good Job G.S technician you rock.
i can sell you some FX57 without IHS~ heeee
btw, do u get my email for pics hosting?
*** This thread has been cleaned up ***
You know who I'm talking to, so whatever problem you guys might have with eachother, take it up in PM If you will. This is not a place for that. No more thread crapping or off-topic excursions, anymore. Understood? :)
Thank you!
thanks for the reports, G.S tech! i'm looking at this memory for a rig i will soon build for one of my best friends. very inexpensive UCCC compared to other brands :toast:
nice results with only 2.6V vdimm. any chance we can get more reports with more vdimm? thanks!

What is the highest stable that you can reach on the gskill using 3-3-3-8 settings or maybe even 3-4-3-8? I like the speeds for the price but the timings are a little lagging for me. With my x2 3800 my patriots sticks are low at ddr 434 but the timings are at 2.5-3-2-8 and my everest scores are 6000+ for memory read and 2500+ for write. I am sure that the gskills can do better scores if the timings were relaxed a little.
G.S. Technician or Kakaroto,
Does G.skill have plans to use micron Ic's in the near future?
Here on my lowly Soltek K8T-939 board, 2 sticks of the G.Skill 1GB PC4000, running at 250 MHz, read score is 5837 in Everest, 2569 write, at 1T-3-4-4-8.Quote:

If they do, it won't be 5B -D....Micron is keeping a tight grip on those. :(Quote:

from what i heard, Even get the -5B D, can not run @ DDR500
cuz the PCB is special make by micron, and it is copy righted!!
i believe that there is one ram maker "TEAM" in taiwan got 5B D but can not run up to DDR500
What are the lowest timings it can do?
They probably got the reject 5B -D that weren't selling well at the budget level.
For those who wants me to try other ram setting, i am sorry about not to reply it fast.
i will test it asap.
there are so many new things i need to learn in here, in office. please allow me sometime. sorry and thanks guys
and for the mircon ic, i can't say anything about it.
Hey GS Technician, I am interested in how fast you can run these chips at CAS2. If you could post results it would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'm sure they won't run @ CAS 2...
