Hey, wanna see a superPi 1M under 5 secs, impressive CPU!
Awesome clocks!
Everyone with a 980X should sell me their processors for cheap right now- they are obsolete! :p:
thanks guys
SB is much better on air ;)
if my suspicious is right we will not need LN2 to play SB-K .....

i think i have room for more 50MHz-100MHz with a bit more vcore
me too,Ive ordered 50lt of LN2 to start playing hard ^^
lol mate :) what kind of air cooling you have ? 4650@1,43V with only 59°C ??? if i try that on air i will have 120°C ahah
TRUE
room temp still 20c ;)
but i dont thinks its accurate
wow on air? that's impressive....
Brother this is really impressive!
I got to get me one of these!:D
Wow amazing. very good chip 990X
Well done. Bro~:)
The 970 should be like 350$, the 980X 700$, and the 990X 1000$ ... I know how fresh and new the six-cores are, but there is no reason they should cost as much as an entire computer.
How can you guys afford to do this stuff?! When I show the forums to my friends, I'm constantly pointing out things like:
"This dude's CPU cost more than my entire PC"
"This dude's GPUs cost more than my entire PC"
"This dude's RAM cost more than my entire PC"
"This dude's motherboard cost 3 times as much as mine did"
"This dude's storage setup cost is comparable to that of a Fortune 500 company"
"This dude spent more time perfecting this case than I have playing tennis... he deserves a varsity letter!"
Have any of you guys started with budget builds and then started becoming enthusiasts?
4650 Mhz stable is impressive (now im tested my new CPU baby i7 980X, to time 4400 MHz air stable with 1.37V), really and with +- safe voltage for 32nm....Uff! Sb will go higher, i heard about 5 GHz stable, but it is crazy idea :D

My first build cost me $1250.00 back in 2000.
A 700MHz AMD slot A.
As to these high end systems it's all about what your interests are.
I don't drink, do a vacation once a year for a few days.
This is what I enjoy spending my money on.
A laugh for you:
A friend of the family is a big shot with Cisco.
Was talking with him one day and PC's came up.
I said for a chuckle " I probably have better machines here than you guys do.
He said I doubt it, then he came over and for 20 mins was standing there doing a
 Love it..
and I hope your right on the pricing
So you prob. have about 100k$ worth of machines there, how you manage to pay those machines.
I can spend about 1500euros a month for any new hardware i might need.
I only have 2 dual-cpu Xeon X5680 servers, 2 older amd systems, i7 980x system, Xeon X5680 gaming machine and phenom 2 1090 machine and htpc.
Anyway impressive criminal, good chip, my i7 980x is crap, 4.5gh linx stable air and 4.8ghz max without load.
this is impressive Criminal, to time with good 980x chip, il ended at 4580 MHz LINX stable....And think, no more is possible, amybe 4600.
My personal feeling that the "right" price would be $500-600 for the 970 and add a $150 premium for the unlocked XE models.
No,no where near that much.
Systems:
SR2 rig: Investment of maybe $2500.00
There are factors in that as the board, case, memory and PSU were given to me.
Dual 24 core AMD MC system: $750.00
The cpu's were a gift, an unexpected one.
Dual Westmere:$2000.00
Board was a review sample
Sammy: Maybe $300.00 total
New 6 core Intel I just built;board, cpu and memory arrived in a box 2 weeks ago as a gift from a good friend.Totally unexpected.
Maybe $250.00 into that build.
If I had to go and buy all of this retail it wouldn't be here as no way in hell could I afford all of this.
