hmm.. never thought about useing CO2 to cool my cpu before. i have it for my MIG welder so i always got a couple of BIG tanks of the stuff lying around. :) it would probably be posible to use it to cool the cpu, the botle and regulator gets ice forming on it when you use it for welding and that is only venting it to atmosphere at about 30psi.
and yes, i am in the UK, wales to be more precise. :)
Found this while I was looking for copper pipe. Its another source for flexible hose, they do Bowmans Parker hoses at reasonable prices i think. They have a hose builder so you can choose your length and fittings and work out the price. Worth a look I think.

does anyone know where to buy compressors etc. that are 1. in the US, 2. you dont need to be a licensed tech or contractor in order to make purchases. R-Parts.com is great but there has to be more companys out there that will do business with the ordinary guy. Grainger.com gives prices online and Johnstone.com just says "call". so if any of you know of some good places in the US please post them. Thanks

kayl,I've found one place boc gasses but they have a very limited online catalogue.One thing to note is if you are going to purchase something yourself,like refrigerant,you have only got until about june or july to do so before new legislation comes in to stop people with out trade tickets purchasing refrigerants:(
So yeah I will be investing in a 22kg bottle of r404a or 507 @ over $1000:eek: in a months time hopefully should last me for many projects?(Anyone care to enlighten me as to how many prommy size refills would be in 22kg's?

Well the test to get yer certificate to be able to purchase and handle refrigerants is only £200 over here... once legislation kicks in over there I'd expect it'd be fairly feasible to get yerself one after doin the homework n' research!

Boc gasses are a rip off:rolleyes: (for gas anyway),I have found a local shop called LoveLocks where they are selling to me at trade discount, the people are very helpfull and interested in what I am doing,They decanted some r404a for me that they had left over out the back of the shop and sold me 2 kg's for $49 and gave me the bottle for free.They quoted me about $500 compared to over $1000 from boc for 22kg's of 404 They have also set me up with a cash acount so it looks like I won't have a problem getting gas when legislation comes in.:D

Thats shop sounds very handy.
BOC is only good for buying dry ice and LN2 :D
