Hi Phil nice setup mate really smart i have the same asus lcd poster and want to mode it red like yours.Opened it up but at a total loss as to how up did could write down some instructions or do a utube vid i know a lot of people would be gratefull

The stock blue LEDs are embedded behind the LCD and plastic light diffuser. You'll have to detach the aluminum LCD bracket to gain access and desolder the LEDs. They can be replaced using a pair of 3mm LEDs. Go for the clear type for higher luminance.

Thanks for the reply Phil i,ve open up the poster case taken off the aluminum bracket but can't see the LEDs.Are they under the solder where the white,black,green and red wires go?

Just power up the LCD and you should be able to single out the LEDs easily.

Damnit Phil, I keep seeing these awesome V1000 builds, and mine is jus sat next to me blissfully awaiting a new lease of life!

As you have said ppost, there isnt much out there that beats the subtle styling of the V series cases.

Yes man, in addition, the inverted-ATX layout it offered, was also the reason that the V-series attracted me at that time,
as the available space for the chassis is always on the left hand side of my desktop ... :)
Just post my current desktop, hope Phil won't mind.
