Just to be sure I'm getting this correctly, by vertical you're referring tot the fittings being aligned vertically, right?
And thanks for doing all the testing, I'm really looking forward to your round-up!

Yep, like pics...and vertical did lower temps by .6C on mine vs best of numerous horizontal mounts. Note: my vertical mount has lettering upside down, you may want to refer to instructions for mounting if you wish to mount per them.

actually, isn't that upside down rge? I thought the lettering was meant to be readable, or are you getting better temps that way?
Not sure how it is meant to be mounted, but probably so writing is right side up.. but I want the outlet higher than inlet if vertical, just to avoid potential for trapped air when first bleeding since bubbles rise. I doubt it would make any difference either way temps wise, but have not tested it other way. Dont even know if HK will temporarily trap bubbles when first bleeding, but I have had other wb that would depending on mount position, and have to jiggle/tap them while bleeding. But now that you got me curious....may have to test the other way and see...
Just made a slight modification to the Fuzion V2 (a modification that anyone can easily do) and it looks like the block is not the super-slouch that I first tested.
It's too early to say just how much better it is, but from eyeballing it....I'd upgrade the Fuzion V2's status on LGA1366 from "heavily recommended upgrade" to "optional upgrade"
(and there might be even more room for improvement when I make one more change)
Do tell us what the mod is! I currently still have a Fuzion V2 in my main rig (thinking about switching to the HK I have lying around, I'm just too lazy), maybe it still has some life in it after all :)
I'll have more info on it tonight and start a new thread....there's life in this old block for sure now! :D :yepp:
erm... Where's the thread? I want to see the mod!
jk. If not ready, take your time.
I'll work on the write-up now...been playing with a P55/860 setup :p:
EDIT: test report thread is up for the Fuzion V2: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=233968
