DKA790 is absolutely same board with platinum version, only difference is one heat-pipe less, no memory for integrated graphics core and no firewire interface.

Mine can run prime 32M too, but PI causes instability. Could you post a screenshot of a 32M pi run?

large ffts freeze the system like pi :shakes:

I've had the same results with my x2 550. Unlocked, anytime I try blend, large, or pi I'll get a freeze. Cinebench or small fft can run no problem. I don't know for sure, but I suspect it's a bios problem. I've been thinking about getting a gigabyte am3 board to prove my theory but I'm a little strapped for cash right now.

sounds more like an imc problem if u can't run blend. or a setting or two is off on teh ramz

I haven't messed with trying to diagnose the problem since last week, but the the screwy thing that gets me thinking is the off the charts temp reporting. Idk I can run any kind of stress test using affinity on either set of cores or any combination of single or two cores. Anytime I add a third or fourth core to the mix insta freeze as soon as it goes to 100% load. I've been lazy today just lurking forums but maybe I'll get on it tonight.

bios temp reporting is definitely wrong with ac firmware set to special, it shows >10C higher than real temp.

also looking at toppc's screenshots I see prime large ffts running fine :yepp:

We're still waiting for that fixed BIOS... :rolleyes:

agreed with Beta, all 1.4 Beta still have memory adressing issues with large FFT iteration and super PI. They make my system instantly freezing. Can't wait Toppc post fixing bios :shrug:

I've got the same issue with my 550 BE. Any Prime95 load and instant freezes on any of the 1.4b releases. Can't wait to get a stable unlocking bios for the GD70 :)

That screenshot above with four SP instances at 3.2GHz on a 550 looks very promising :up:
