Since using a 92mm fan, my temp is now 56 (was 66 using a smaller fan and 80+ w/o any fan).
Cable is messy, but here is a picture...

Okay, you know when the board POSTs, usually with other brands I've owned, it makes one or two beeps only...but with this MSI board (and my former X58 Platinum SLI) it makes more than two beeps in quick succession...is this normal? Does your board make that many beeps, too, or is it just mine?
Looks like if I have OCed my board from within the BIOS as soon as I launch OverClocking, my system crashes. I still have yet to install GreenPower even though I have gone back and insert the module. Hope MSI can come up with a better working one soon. It's useless otherwise as of now.

Hey, guess what? With the previous BIOS (v. 1.0) I couldn't do 21x200 stable, now I can do it and run LinX without crashing...think 1.0B25 is good so far. How is 1.1B1 different?
Doesn't this board has NF200? EVGA Classified with NF200 is that way too, NB heatsink is very hot too...
yep, especially when that NF200 sucker heats up like a thermonuclear reactor lol
Heh "NF780i days" are back. :)
(780i+NF200 = hot)
Yes, but who needs it? 8+8+8 or 16+16+16 is the same
Sorry :(

Mike.
Classified is same way, must put a fan on mosfets heatsink otherwise temps 80c idle and up to 100 benching but board shuts down so no damage. With fan 80c while benching high overclock.
This board looks real nice I love the black and blue scheme of it! Hopefully it turns to be a good clocker once the bugs worked out I might switch!
Does the Eclipse have loadline calibration ?
Since i cant find this in the Cell Menu of my Platinum SLI.
Pretty annoying !
Loadline has Giga and Asus boards ... and YES MSI Eclipse Plus has this function in BIOS too!
is not a normal think to have a 80° on chipset....
but is not normal to have a bluescreen at 80°.....maybe at 110° ok but no at 80°
check ram setting for resolve bsod
80 is +/- normal (but not for me), but under load i reached 100 and crashed. Now is everything OK, i have fan installed ...
What is Loadline anyway and is what's the better setting for it (Enable or Disable)?
i am using always Disabled, with LN2 too ...
Guys (and Ladies), it's a platform problem. These are sad designs and the user takes the brunt. It sucks, but remember nf4?
hi,
where can I buy this board? I'm in the UK and I cannot find it anywhere to buy. Help appreciated :)
thanks
Nick
eBuyer got one, well, five! :D http://www.ebuyer.com/product/165696
http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?board=54.0 | Take a look around, there's plenty of cases with incredibly high IOH temperatures. Cooling design flaw, just like the P7N Diamond...
