I ended up having to RMA the kit. Only one stick passed memtest at stock (using the XMP profile). I was thinking about flashing my bios, and probably will. I will update when I get my new kit.

I got a new set and have a new set of issues. They work beautifully at stock, but I've been trying to get them to 2k. They pass memtest at both 8-9-8-24 and 9-9-9-27, but I can't run a pass of linx to save my live. The voltages I tried were VTT 1.36, CPU 1.300, and VDIMM 1.64-1.70. Any suggestions?

I think there is a problem with the availability of Elpida Hyper chips :(

Sorry .............I left everything else on auto or default settings. I replaced my 920 with a 960 ( better memory controller). When I test them again I will make sure to record all of the sub timings.

All testing done using vCore=1.488 idle/1.440 load. 3rd image shows mem@2100 but not stable with VTT=1.440/1472. 4th is stable with VTT=1.504/1.536. And the 5th is highest I tried, thou not stable.

Actually on the Mushkin support forum they issued a statement way back in July last yr that they were suspending purchase of Elpida Hyper chips for new builds, which I take it applies mainly to their 2000MHz modules, until a solution can be found.

However they claimed they weren't having an above normal failure rate as others had, so it appeared to be a precautionary measure. What I'd like to know is, are there any other manufacturers like Samsung, Micron, etc, making suitable 2000MHz chips?

I know a lot of people advocate getting 1600MHz RAM and OCing it to 2000MHz with something like 9 timings, but getting the Redline 3x2GB kit for $280 at 8 timings sounds pretty good to me. I had to rma my second set of 998707's last week and received the 998750's in return . I am running them at 1600 6-6-6 @ 1.6v right now and plan on keeping them there . I may stretch thier legs and see what the can do this weekend. Big props to muskin RMA for the prompt service.

any news on the EH Chips? I am looking to get some for a new build and it seems that not many people have them in stock..... wondering if any mushkin ppl could chime in.... you guys selling them from the factory? looking at the 998708....

Mushkin always make good stuff. One of the very few manufacturers I'd say consistently have good stuff - even in their value areas.
