The Animal is a special part number.. It is listed as a platinum part but see the A in the part number?

OCZ3P1600LVA6GK.. No A = not the same ;)

They certainly are not the same IC's it seems.....my animals like the front banks, these like the back.

Removed heatspreader just out of curiosity,confirmed not the same ic's ;) Nonetheless it clocks decent on AMD.

Nice performance at low price! What kinda VTT limits do you guys recommend on water for long-term use though? The performance is sooo dependent on the IMC + Uncore that these need a good CPU else they're going to waste IMHO :)

Purchased 2 kits of this @ memory4less.com before the price increase. One for myself and the other for a friend, seems 1 of the kits got back ordered.

Has anyone seen these in stock anywhere besides memory4less. I went the NA distributors listed on the OCZ site and only i4 showed them but priced at $160+

MWave replied that they cannot receive stock still as I have spoken with Sergio a few times about them as they were mentioned in the thread when I first read it. No idea when/if it will be back in stock still...
