Thanks - no that's the lowest stable vcore for prime!
My e8400 won't post @ 4.0 with less than 1.45v! DAMN YOU!
Found a faster chip but it sure runs hotter!
I bought this E8400 chip from YMAA a while back (bottom of page 199 of this post).

Didn't get around playing around with it for a while, but I can see why he runs on water - this chip is quite a hothead!
Don't think I'll go any higher than 4.5ghz on air as the temps in the pic are with a TRUE!
I know he got 4.6-4.7ghz stable F@H but I'm on air.
Nice Everest scores when paired with 2x2gb G.Skill DDR2 1200's, huh?

anyway's, that's quite an old thread,
very nice OC..!
Tried 1.36v crashed orthos 2 min, idle 47c and hit 74c within that time....my air cooling can't handle it!
But at 530fsb @ 4.5ghz with the ram at it's upper limits I'm good =).
mine only need 1.38-1.425v to 4.7 GH :) on TRUX

Laguna - Very nice overclock on that 8400. What volts are you running on the Northbridge to achieve a stable 2120MHz FSB?
Wow that is awesome. You make me wanna buy a dual core to play with :)
Buy an i3 540 and decent ram.
4.5ghz is within reach on air - see here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=245914
But I still love my 2 4.5ghz e8400 and e8500!
