So this weekend is coming up quick and I have a crapload of parts waiting for me at home! I will most definitely be on a picture taking frenzy after i spend some quality time with my family ;).

my first priority agenda:

-prelim pics of all the parts.

-paint test. checking UV reaction, possibly ordering some special highend UV paint

-Sleeving test. I got some new type of sleeving from buyheatshrink.com, should be interesting to see how it looks compared to techflex and MDPC sleeving

-Disassembly, I have an appointment at the powder coater's on Monday the 13th to get a quote on powdercoating the interior frame and varios other parts


other than that we'll see what I can come up with, I think I might bring my GTZ that i ordered the other day with me to school so i can install it into my loop....still havent decided.

You'll need a 90 degree screwdriver.

I think you may get away with 45 degree barbs.

Do you think you can get away with using two T-lines (like DD delrins) between the two rads?

however the gap he will havei s 38mm, so i dont think he could use a 2 couplers and a T.

But i see what your going on iany.

Maybe he can use the koolance tiny square T? :shrug:

The DD T is 31mm in length (without barbs), not sure how thick those male/male fittings are....

But it COULD work.... it might be worth a try.

Looks good, how do you plan on attaching the fans? Looks like it would be pretty tough with even a 90 degree screwdriver.

hmmmm just looked in sketchup and the delrin T looks like it will fit with NO space to spare.... this may need some more thought

Zanzabar told me just now that a Bitspower Crystal T is only 15-20 mm (no exact measurement, so I have the possibility to use that and some SLI d-plugs...


ANOTHER option, run 38mm fans plus empty 25 mm fan housings in the same sandwich... then I would be ably to use the dual row method I drew out above....

I'd use short sections of allthread and jam nuts loctited onto the rads and then nut the fans onto the rads.

thats a great idea, however I don't think I will be using the double 320's anymore now that the 420 GTX came out.

My plan now is to use the 420 GTX, the stock case fans, and some fan adapters then use my H1011 Sanyos on it, should be very potent cooling for my CPU :).



I also just managed to get a PC-p80 dual fan radiator top :woot:

Here is an update, I had my sh**ty 4 year old camera :( I will have the good one in thanksgiving when I actually start building :

Here you can see the sleeving I will be using, Its a combo of two sleeve types that creates a perfectly round, straight, white sleeve. In the pic it looks off white because it is not correctly balanced to the ambient.

@SNiiPE_DoGG - That is a great look on the wiring. What are the two types of sleeving you are using and where did you buy them? (Links, please, if you can?)

its 11 awg acrylic coated fiberglass non-expandable sleeve (inner sleeve) and White techflex 1/8 for the outer. creates a great look as you guys will see once I get down and dirty with it.

buyheatshrink.com is where to find it, they are a bulk reseller so I have 250 ft of the inner and 200ft (+ 100ft I bought from ppc's) of the outer.
