And just as a side note, I spent most of Saturday night flushing the blue crap out of the rad. I think i did it 15 times and the water still comes out blue :(.
I know it's not recommended anymore, but would a quick (like 5min) dose of vinegar in the rad help to remove the gunk? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Idle temps went from 20 to 46 deg C, i quickly down-clocked to 2.4GHz (from 3.05GHz) and i'm now sitting at a balmy 37 deg idle. After 20mins of OCCT it loads at 57 deg C.
I can't wait to get back on water! Watercooling........FTW! :up:

Can't say the same for that tubing and gunk in the supreme - glad you were able to clean it all up.
In regards to the rad I am not sure about that - wasnt there a lot of talk on this lately and the general consensus was not to use vinegar ever?:shrug:

People should stick to FESER cooling fluid. It's got UV in it and it's awesome, won't tint anything and prevents corrosion even with ALU+CU loops. As for the worklog, good job, keep it up!

Rig up your garden hose to therad. Somehow. Just do it.
Use pressurized water jets (stand away, and don't spray anyone :) ) The radiator will clean itself very quickly.
And then do your usual distilled water rinse.
I make full use of my garden hose. In fact, I use the same pressure washer that I use to wash my cars (but I don't recommend that you do that).
I'm telling you. Distilled water. Nothing else. no PT Nuke, no Pentosin, no Zerex. Nothing. With colour comes headaches.
Glad it is not a Jane Austin mod . . .I HATE that crap (I have an English minor . . .had to read way too much of that stuff).

twwen2 I'm confused is the loop you setup what you had been running for a while or was that new liquid mix?
Only reason I ask is i have had distilled and Fesser Clear/UV in my loop for a couple of months and found no gunk in my blocks this weekend when I took it apart. Is it possible that this was just stuff from your rad?

1) I used photobucket for my worklog, plus other stuff, and never had any BW issues.
2) 800x600 is ok, 1024x768 is usually a good size IMO, fits well on my monitor without being overpowering, but no larger for ease of use and other people's computers. Don't go smaller than 800x600 though please :)

If you don't mind all the work, small thumbnails like 400*300 that expand to maybe 1024*768 is prolly the best
