Here is a snapshot for low-power Opteron 2204 45W processor.

An Athlon 4850e even looks much better!
does anyone have more overclocking results on this chip?
Aqui vai o meu.
Here's mine.
Stock voltage.

Hi All,
Just got mine a few days ago and I'm testing step by step, for the moment I tested lowest voltage at 1000Mhz (stock idle frequency) and went down to 0.850V, I think it won't go far beyond that but I'll try. I'll try to post other results when the tests are done :)
@ NOOB : I see your CPU-Z screenshot shows some overvolting compared to stock voltage (1.296 instead of 1.25), I have the exact same overvoltage shown in CPU-Z with my Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DSH3, do you have an idea where it would come from
Bye !
I'm using a g1 brisbane @ 1ghz 0.80v for six months now...
I never tested the stability on any burn test, but it is 100% stable at Idle, and I even played "NFS porsche 2000" at this clock and voltage for hours, anyway, what would be the estimated TDP at such clocks/voltages!?
I don't know what would be the TDP at that speed and voltage, I'm monitoring only the total power consumption of the PC.
Seems I didn't get the best sample, I'm getting errors at 2875Mhz (12.5 x 230Mhz) at stock voltage, 2750Mhz went fine but not here. Have to do more checks but I already lowered the HT Link speed and still get the same errors, I'll try cooling actively the CPU, it might help a little bit..... :(
My board is a Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DSH3 and the CPU cooler is a Cooler Master Z600. I use it fanless (with no fan attached to it), however it benefits from the extraction fan of the PSU located just above.
This evening I added a little bit juice (1.275 in BIOS instead of 1.25V) and 2875Mhz went OK :D
That's a matter of luck ;)
I achieved the 3ghz with mine at 1.325 VBIOS? Now running it at 2750Mhz on stock voltage :)
What if he burned it in?
I did not so that might be the solution.
mine was just out of the box!
I'll try to get to 3.6Ghz:up:
no way man! :shocked::shocked:
lucky!!
I think its the ram.
What I have is nothing compared to yours!
Well I can go and start the "unofficial Athlon 4850e Underclocking thread"
Check out my low underclocks!
Low and
Low but higher multiplyer They both draw .80A Idle
arthur92710,
Ha-ha, 90MHz for the reference clock?! LOL! Is it really possible?
Must be a bug.
Well I was able to get to 3ghz.
HERE
nice cpu
Here is mine. 10hrs orthos stable. It could run fine at 1.33v, its just this Gigabyte 790x DS4 either overvolts or undervolts :x

Nice.
I just tried that but windows keeps crashing when I run prime95
humm I wounder what you keep in your "stuff" folder
Only the stuff you can get without a subscription:
Orhtos, CPUz, Coretemp, OCCPT, Fraps, Stalker Build 1094, Stalker build 1152, 3DMark06 installer, Winrar installer, Spi, NiBitor, AMD Dual core driver, AMD Dual core optimizer, UXtheme patch for SP3, Opera setup, AOD setup, Winamp setup, Java JRE setup, Zune software, Aquamark setup, Azureus setup, Spysweeper setup, steam setup, and riva tuner. Why? :D
what kind of temps are u guys getting. Im getting weird temps with my 4850e, I have it cooled with a ninja mini (as5). Thing is, its (core 1/2) idling at 15-20´C (at start, usually 20-25'C after its been on for a while), but when I put prime95 small ffts on it makes a huge jump to 50-55'C (core1/2). vcore is set at 1.15v in bios, stock speeds.
I mainly use everest ultimate for temp readings but I also have hwmonitor. Both give the same temp for the individual cores but HW states TMPIN0 as 70'C+ when having small ffts on, confusing.
I first had a gigabyte 780G matx board but after a bad @bios flash (kickin myself of using that) I got a 690G asus board as a temp. recplacement. I get the same temps with both of the boards.
