That one guy does not represent MSI, he is just another geek.
Most of the other guys on the board who replied were decent. Most of them agreed with me in knowing who knows what he's talking about and who not. :)
Such a person is a useless setback for AMD and MSI though.
dehx: If you use same coloured slots on MSI Platinum you get single channel RAM but still no 1:2.66 divider support. Like Cooper said, it will just not boot. I need to find SPD programmed DDR2-1066. They say that's fully supported.
SO:
DDR2-1066 which is SPD programmed for 533MHz will run on the board (stock HT ref) at DDR2-1066.
DDR2-1066 which is not SPD programmed for 533MHz will not run on the board (stock HT ref) at DDR2-1066 yet.
