I did some changes to the thread, so you guys can have more easy access, and I'll make sure to update it regularly.
I'm going to make a template, so we can also post our bios settings and do comparisons.

Hey guys,
been a couple weeks since i've posted so i thought i'd give you guys a little present.
P5E30601.rom
I'm gonna be testing this bios tonight.
is it for the deluxe too??
ive seen that they have removed the 504beta from the site..
EDIT: now i see that it is under p5e3 on the ftp :)
im gonna give this a ride now!
well i've loaded the new bios up and for the most part there aren't any option changes or additions to the bios but I have noticed better stability running 4GB at 1600+.
Nice crazypinoy!!!
I'll make sure to test drive the 601 on the weekend!! And also make sure to add it to the rapidshare account (so you guys can download it easily from the archive).
I'm very interested on how you get your memory to work at 1600Mhz STABLE!!
Are you running 4 sticks right?
I'm currently running the CPU @ 3Ghz (9x333) and settle for my 1600Mhz memory torun at 1333mhz instead @9-9-9-24. I'm thinking even if I cannot go up to 1600, maybe tighten the timings a little bit. The problem is I don't see any good tutorial on overclocking for people with DDR3. There is lots of stuff for DDR2 instead....
About Express Gate I have a theory of why I'm not getting Express Gate after the bios update. I forgot to say that before installing my Mobo, I removed the WI-FI card from the motherboard (like I did with my former P5W DH Deluxe), because I don't need it and I wanted the chipset to use less resources.
My guess is, by removing the WI-FI card, the BIOS "thinks" that mine is a P5E3 Deluxe instead of the Wi/FI version. I'm almost positive, so I'm guessing re-installing the card and do a clean flash will solve the problem.
Guys we need to make templates with the BIOS settings so we can post here and share our findings.
I'll commit myself to have all the information possible on this board about this motherboard here.
Yes the express gate will work with a wired lan. I know becaus I ONLY use wired and the express gate works just fine.
With this new bios express gate seems to be completely functional once you flash and completely power down.
***I forgot to mention that I never removed my Wifi card and everything still was fine***
Hey Oscar,
I'll post pics of my bios tonight...i've been lagging on doing this but I promise i'll post it. Been super busy getting everything prepared for Nvidia LANFest this weekend.
Has anyone had the expressgate work wthout installing the wifi card?
Hey guys, so I have the first template so we can copy and post our specs and share them. It took a while, so please give me feedback if I'm missing something important here. This is based on my current specs. Once we have it nailed and final I will post it on the front page. I still need to know how to sumbit in ina better way, respecting spacing... :-(
Thanks

so, the auto subtimings are too tight for 1333+ ram? no wonder I couldn't get my new cellshock ddr3 1800 sticks to boot at stock settings. Thanks!
Muchas gracias crazypinoy6  Can I ask what cpu and ram are you running there?
QX6850 @4GHz
4GB G.Skill DDR3 (Stock settings are 1600MHz 7-7-7-20-2T)

Thanks a bunch Crazypinoy for your pictures!!!These are awesome for information.
As for your question I'm currently running :
4GB = 2 matched pairs of 2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600mhz (in other words 4 sticks of 1 gb each) and these are rated to work at 1600mhz 8-8-8-24.
I'm currently running them at 1333Mhz and the SPD set to AUTO.
On CPU-Z they show the timings running at 9-9-9-24.
I'm already overclocking my Q6600 @ 3Ghz.I have 9X333 running stable and 1.275 VCORE this thing is awesome, I'm getting no more then 53C on load.!!!
By looking at your pictures WHat do you think should be my configuration?
You mention something about secondary timings, to be honest I feel very ignorant on the DDR3 arena... :-) But willing to learn.
About express gate, what I meant is that before installing the motherboard into the case I physically removed the WI/FI adapter, I didn't disabled it from the BIOS.
I seriously think that was my mistake. I'm willing to try putting back the adapter and then flash to 601. I',ve been busy plus I just got a copy of Crysis here:-)
PS: Did you guys read the very uncommon isntructions about flashing the BIOS with 601? It says in red äfter flashing, TURN OFF the computer and/or disconnet the power cord... WEIRD!! Is there something serious about this BIOS version?
That QX6850 of yours makes and that Vapo Chill gets my envy!!! :-P
SUCCESS!!!
I have Express Gate back.:banana::banana::banana:ing Eh! All what I had todo wasto plug that Wi/FI card back to its place again and boom! E.G. appeared in the BIOS.
Then proceeded to flash up to BIOS 601, and then reset bios defaults.
Thanks guys for all your support and suggestions.I guess I will make some changes in the first post of this thread reflecting my fidings.
So the motherboard indeed takes in consideration wether you have that WI/Fi card physically in order to recognize it as a WI/FI AP@n version.
Time to update the first post of this thread.
So you know I've just tested the Yorkfield QX9650,a friend of mine just came here and brought one for testing.
Conclusion, IT IS CRAP!
I mean, well...it's a really good CPU, of course it's top of the line, but we didn't see any difference in Crysis compared to my 3ghz overclocked Q6600. We tested it at stock frequency against the Q6600 overclocked. It is a wallet killer and the gain is minimal or none.
Multithreading on this game IS a LIE! The CEO of Crytek indeed lied for marketing vaporware reasons. This game doesn't run better on a Yorkfield. I'm telling you this depends a lot on the Video Card, and mine so far is the best : FOR NOW of course
That means I'm not buying this for +US$1000 against my G0 friend at US$270.
I guess I'm waiting for Nehalem, we will have to change the socket anyway, that means a new mobo by the end of 2008.
Who can boot with more than 400mhz fsb and 1:2 using 0601 bios ????
i can?
Performance on Crysis does benefit from multi core CPUs...on our tech benches we were testing the differences between an E6600, Q6600 and a QX6850. He was not lying because quad totally blew away the dual. At this point you are GPU limited which makes it look like having a faster processor doesn't do anything. Pretty much how people felt when 8 Series released and some people weren't seeing differences because of CPU limitation. Yes video cards make the world of difference in this particular game but you can't say the QX9650 is crap. tell that to all the people who run it at 4.5GHz on air.
