nice looking boards except for one thing: the realcrap pci gbit chip. :slapass:
the pci-e nics from realtek are quite ok, but the pci parts are really the worst gbit chips you can find on the market.
they should have stayed with the good old marvell chips they used for 3 years.

damned this sucks...planning to upgrade around june,had my rig already figured out and now this...But will this not be VERY expensive in the beginning(cpu,mobo and DDR3 memory)?
i think for people who doesn't update their pc that often, the best time to do is @ Q4-07 or Q1-08
Heatpipes actually offer silence, so it's not only a marketing gimmick.
However, putting a heatpipe that close to the memory module slots is a little...well... uhh.. odd. I mean, there's barely a millimeter or two space between the two. Fortunately it's DDR3 with lower voltage and lower heat dissipation.

Love the multiple e-SATA ports and extra rear USB ports. Of course, I won't be upgrading my mobo any time soon, but this looks really nice.

The good thing is that this time they are releasing the mid-range chipsets before the high end ones (975X before P965) so they can make sure it actually DOES perform better ;)
Was planning on building a new setup with E6420 and DFI 965-S Dark but may wait another couple of months.
