Agreed. 12min isnt bad for a 965/allendale.Quote:

32m does not scale linearly.Quote:

well i don't know what you've been testing if you can say that but i can tell you one thing >> SuperPI is all i bench/mess around with so i think i know a thing or two. I agree to your post to a point as there are many factors affecting the times including RAM and latency of RAM but all things equal you will roughly see the same increase and as you can see from the guy's benchmark he is right on the money for that speedQuote:

I don't see maxmem=105 in his 32M run...is rather 1GB. Actually for 32M you need at least 256MB (IMO, 260MB, less kill time, not enough memory) cuz SP32M allocates something like that :p: .Quote:

I think I know a thing or two also...Your single 32m is a little slow there... :D
lol looks like testosterone is flowing a bit too hard there...sif take a 32M run that was completely untweaked against a conroe..........getting fast times takes a lot of time and testing. When i finally got the AMD cranking i had some beauties. Compare my AMD runs of 23minutes flat on 3.1GHz Opteron 146 or 2960MHz sub 24minute or even sub 21m run at 3476MHz. I bet you anything you weren't even close ;) :toast:Quote:

[EDIT] incidentaly Sierra picked on the same run HERE and i showed him that his time was slow with an inferior system right about HERE ;) :D
I dont play single core, I had an opti 146 from Vandi, but it was never opened :)Quote:

I bet your AMD rig @ 3400+ mhz was not close to my Lonely T2600 on air!
Water will be here friday, and I need to order some ram also... My conroe box is kinda apart :)
well look up the 32M challenge thread and see who participated and what the times were like and compare 32M runs of 2960 23m59; 3100 flat 23m and 3476 20m 58sQuote:

it's the same deal with Intel which i'm new to and learning of course but clock for clock with good runs i won't sleep until i have everyone's measure as i did show in AMD benching
I have not run any single 32m runs yet :(Quote:

sorry tapakah i am going way OT here and i'm going to hide under a rock now.........any more post should be directed to my PM on this topic :)
Holy damn thats some SuperFast Allendale times @TaPaKaH :woot:
Thanks guys :toast:
Will try to keep up the good job :)
BTW - I did not want to set the best 32M result ... I wanted to see whether system was stable or not ;)
i like your attitude       :D :woot:Quote:

If OPB wants to swing his ePenor around after he gets unbanned, good for him, but if anyone should be not posting stupid "my dad beats up your dad" posts it its you.
ok man so you're now becoming personal i showed you OPBs run and i told you to lookat the 32M challenge thread which i beat most of those top guysQuote:

I will eventually make my way up to a decent clocking conroe so i'll give you and the rest of people in the right places a challenge. If you have something to show great, i don't mind and i like competition as you can see so i suggest you sign up to 32M Challenge thread HERE and show your stuff instead of acting like a little brat. Let's do some benching NOT talking in tapakah's thread!!!
i disagree and same invitation goes to you as well. You've benched plenty of AMD CPUs including that nice Opteron 146. Join the 32M Challenge thread and put up your best runs. Let's see how good you really are :) :toast:. You and I and fhpchris have plenty of work to do to challenge top level Intel runners from what i've seenQuote:

oh GOD i apologise Tapakah I just realised you actually ran 5-5-5-x timings on that 1M and 32M runs  that is very good indeed lol :toast:
i haven't got a decent idea what 1M is supposed to be like at those speeds but i tell you what that time looks awefully good considering others have been doing 14.xx runs close to 4GHz
OC was RAM-limited ... tried w/2:3 divider = RAM did not go over 560MHz (2.45V) :(
Should have used my ULs, but there are some compatibility issues between them and modded BIOS :(
are you able to tighten the timings to 4-4-4-12 at least for benching that is............bad luck about RAM limitation there.........mine only do 543MHz 4-4-4-9Quote:

who modded the bios and what was changed and why? also what impact did the change have pn performance comapred to 0507
w/4-4-4-12 they go no more than 501MHz :(
i seeQuote:
