I don't think that 0516 is so bad. Looking through the list it seems most get to 2.6, and a lot of them to 2.7. I am completely stable at 2.7, bench stable all the way to 2.85. Much better than my CBBID winnie!

3200+ LBBLE 0516EPEW 2750 MHz 1.63v AIR, 24h P95 stable
cooling is a hyper 6, load temp is about 44c with the fans on low. SP32M stable, and prime95 stable. I'm waiting for another 24h run to complete, because I forgot to take a screenshot :( If anyone's curious, it doesn't scale at all with more voltage. Perhaps on water next week I'll see some better results with voltage, but I'm not very optimistic.
edit: Tried more vLDT and now it's 24h prime95 stable at 2750 with the same vcore, 1.63v. 2800 is a definite no go, but I haven't tried anything inbetween, yet.

You can get the 3000+ tray versions for around 119€ in several stores in Germany.
I'm gonna check a couple of them tomorrow, see what they have in stock, and which stepping they have.
I suppose most of you guys have the boxed versions?

Get the 3000+ 0517DPMW then, from what clocks the other guy reached with that stepping it must be amazing. Unless he got a very lucky chip, it's really up to you though.

ok, this is in my shuttle SN95G5 Nforce 3 ultra chipset xpc...HTT maxes out at 280 in bios, and i needed a divider on my crappy ram, but....

motherboard is definitely holding this cpu back, no doubt. if i could raise HTT higher (maybe with clockgen i can) i bet it will go higher. rig is silent as well...

Clockgen will let you go above 280 with the SN95G5.

Apparently the 0517 make very good work. It is at least much improves that my 0516EPEW that does 2.8@1.75v.

so where is the right volt? BIOS or softwares?
well, i left the voltage at stock in BIOS (3.5 vcore) and raised it using clockgen. my rig is stable so far at 280HTT with stock voltage. i raised it by .5 volts in clockgen, so i assume it is at 1.4 vcore, but i can raise it in bios instead later when i decide to reboot.Quote:

I set BPEW under Zalman 7700cu and first boot to the CPU@251*10 1.4Vcore and straight to StressPrime2004 :D
- 3200+@2510MHz, did 24min and then I went to job...
If everything is ok, SP2004 should be working on 5h30m now

I've only seen one result with that chip, so hopefully I can match or beat it :D
The store only had three of these, and a 0516 3200+..
Argh, now I have to get a PCI-E video card, AND a real PSU. I got one of those cheap 20->24 pin adapters to go with my Antec SL350S for now. :rolleyes:
