Punisher, BeSaiD is right. Some ADATA DDR566 are not TCCD
in spain at the begining all the ADATA DDR566 where TCCD, but they are not anymore
Here (Italy) Vitesta DDR566 are ALL TCCD at the moment, anyway, do you have any screenshots?Quote:

BTW:
the A-Datas which carry a SC/SS in the Part number (in the brackets behind the serial number) do have Samsung TCCDs. the ones which have HY in that code have HYNIX memory ICs.
Samsung TCCD
MDOSSBF3H4740B1G0Z
DDR500(3) 512MX16
S/N:503XR (SCBJC1916)
HYNIX
MDOHYBF3H4740K1G0Z
DDR500(3) 512MX16
S/N 452XR (HYBJC1916)
These are A-Data 600 which have TCCDs for sure.
MDOSSLF3H47...
S/N: XXXXX (SCBMC1916).
That way they can be distinguished und you know what you get.
The A-Datas with TCCDs are reported to have compatibility probs with ASUS AV8 boards by the way. Not sure if there are issues with other boards which carry the VIA K8T800 chipset as well.
Just wondering if this is worth an edit:
Ultra Platinum PC4000 (3-4-4-8-1T) --chip--> Hynix D43
I think Geil is closing this out since they only list the dual channer kit and no single sticks here.
They list them as CAS 2.5 7-4-4 @ DDR500MHz PC4000. No doubt these are the same Hynix chips which they feature in their Ultra 4200 and 4400 which have to loosened up to 3-8-4-4 to run that high. I can get to just about 261 with my Adata Hynix at CAS 2.5 on my LP UT. I run it every day at 269x12 w/my Intel on my Abit IS7 w/loose timings.
BTW - Outpost has single sticks of the Ultra PC4000 on sale for $83 for a single 512mb. Not extreme unless you consider price/performance.
Those are GeIL Ultra Series, not GeIL Ultra Platinum.Quote:

Punisher, what's the difference between Geil GL1GB4000DC and GL1G4000DC. I'm guessing the extra B means a revision but what kind of change was made? Also curious about the non Platinum Ultra. "Platinum" refers to more than just the color of the heat spreaders right? Outside of the Outpost item, can't find any Geil PC4000 Ultra memory that is not labled Platinum.
Been searching the net for this day-in day-out...It would be nice to see a list of ALL TCCD that can do pc-4400 at 2.5 NOT just ram that IS PC-4400 at 2.5. (*Other than gskill*)
Ty, hope its an easy feat.

Ultra Series and Ultra Platinum are different series.
Ultra Series are old Ultra-X Series (perhaps they contains Samsung TCC5)
Ultra Platinum contains Hynix chips.
Thanks for everyone for this thread, especially PunisHHer :D
Right now I have 2x256 MB PC3200 CL3 184-Pin DIMM KVR400/256R Kingston Value Rams. My questions are:
1) Which chips are used on these memory modules? (such as TCDD, Infineon, Hynix...) --- I know it can be Hynix D43, D5, Samsung TCCC, TCC4, or anything else but how can I be sure?
2) I find that one module has "Kingston" label on the chips. Are these just re-labeled from another manufacturer like Samsung, or really manufactured by Kingston. In either case, I need some details or specifications (especially on optimal timings and voltage settings for DFI NF4 Ultra mobo)
And here some clues that I find after my research and a phone call to Kingston:
1. MODULE:
KVR400/256R 740617076530 2.6V
Assembled in USA
Part number is:
99C5192-011.A00
1626522-0721467
Chips are labeled as "Kingston" (however no finding on Kingston chips in google). On top of the chips here is what I can decipher:
"Kingston
N422024W1C
0422NO1
D3208DX1T-5U"
2. MODULE
KVR400/256R 740617076530 2.6V
Assembled in Taiwan X01
Part number is:
99R0006-001.A00
P742261-0280573
Nothing is written on chips except:
32Mx8 DDR400
One more note: Chips on this module are almost half the size of the chips in Module 1, AND this one has two circular holes in the middle of the module.
Say it curiosity or enthusiasm or kinda hobby, kinda obsession after some point... Help me...

Looks like the same GL3LC32G88TG-35 memory that was reviewed
here.
This stuff seems a lot like my Adata Hynix that I tested on my DFI LPUT, crapping out right around the same place.
Whatever it is it seems like a good deal for someone who doesn't have the volts to give to the TwinMos SP UT, or can't plow another $50 into some TCCD. Me personally, I would rather have the Speed Premiums or some killer GSkill. So what am I doing with this stuff? Curiosity kills cats like me! Darn! hi,
after seeing this thread, i ordered the mushkin pc4400 to use with my epox 9nda3j and i haven't been able to hit higher than ddr540... even with 3-4-4-8 and 2.9 volts, i cannot hit anywhere near 300 with 1T.
with 2T, i can hit 300 with 2.5-4-3-8 and 2.85 volts...
i assumed that hitting 300 was with 1T or was I wrong to assume that?
It depends on the motherboard too. Yeah actually they are meant for reaching almost 300 with 1T but actually I hadn't much inputs when I put them into the classification.Quote:

hi people.
I am soo tired of this really lame transcend PC3200.
So I was on the look out for new 1GB RAM for my A64 3200+.
Ny aim is to get RAM that will do 270-280Mhz @ 2.5,4,X at 1T
My budget is under $200.
So far I have come across GeiL Ultra series PC4000 ( GL1GB4000DC ).
Is this confirmed same as old Ultra-x with TCCD?
Any other which will suit my aim and under $200?
They are in the list. They should be Samsung TCC5 (perhaps some have TCCD too). Just try 2-2-2-5 @ 200 Mhz.Quote:
