u did awesome job !
This board looks great..now when will it show up in AU? :(
The board looks very nice :D
It boots very fast and performance is outstanding!
Here is a quick 3DMark06 test from me :)

so let me get this straight . . .
good memory clocker, fast booting and super efficient 3D?
in for one.
So i assume this week will appear in Romania, also. Or early next week.
EDIT: Damn, what a nice offer for you USA guys, on newegg:
Free 60GB SATA3 SSD drive- value 50$ , with this motheboard:

Well the board just appeared in stores in my country but the price it's just not so good.
Maximus V Gene it's like 200€( i know it has some months in store) and Asrock OC Formula it's about 270€ instead of 240€, about 30€ more than is should be. It's not the same price as Z77 Professional as it should be it's 20-25€ more
Anyway it's just the first day, the price i hope will settle and lower a bit in a week.
Anyway in my country it's a bit of mafia in prices, big prices at launch.
^ clean run :) mate
@ aristidis I would like to see how your bbse run on this :)
Thanks. In two weeks max i'll get one.
SS Fun happening now, going to have to ditch the samsung for some psc I think. IMC seems to not mind tight timings but is not a real performer raw mhz wise
http://i.imgur.com/rVDMk.jpg
This board is turning out to play really nice with almost all ram so far which is a good sign right off the bat.
Looks like Fredyama make strong influence on you...Led is present ... :)
hahaha yes! fred-san tweak :P
Dammm... saw vivi score and look back to my score it same as baby :D
my best now on water cooling cpu and air for ram (and IMC is weak :()
4.2GHz not tweak only try maxmem setting and can help only 1 or 2 sec :p:
http://img.techpowerup.org/120905/xs_4.2.png
5GHz not any tweak :)
http://img.techpowerup.org/120905/xs_5g.png
let see more later after get new better chip :D but this board rock performance and you do great stuff Nick
Just got the board setting it up, everything is looking real good:up:
this board is getting better and better.
Asrock has outdone themselves on this one it seems.
Nice score ZolKorn!
I have some issues while booting with 2400. The first time...no problem...then hanging @ postcode 55!
No chance to boot anymore, but it was stable! 2200 no problem...but 2400 cl10-11-11-21-1T 98 was just running 3 or 4 times! What could it be?
hey emertX what memory and CPU? if it's samsung memory 11-11 is too tight
It is the Samsung 30nm...here on Asus MVF
http://www.abload.de/thumb/samsung3qpxbs.jpg
And here on Z77 OC:
http://www.abload.de/thumb/samsung4yqq89.jpg
The curious thing is...I was able to start like on the asus...running linx and stuff like that, but then, after restart...no boot! Postcode 55!
Which uefi would you prefer? 1.14p or 1.30?
So this is an excellent memory clocking board
PSC (4X2GB)

and here is a 4Ghz run with PSC
http://i.imgur.com/XQLwH.png
the 2X4GB run was under cold on the memory with no insulation, just a quickie at 1.85v:eek:
http://i.imgur.com/epZpE.jpg
 what a great clock!
nice pi time too :D
im surprised this board isnt in AU yet..not even PCCG has it..:(
l0ud_sil3nc3, why didn't you tryed 4.2ghz run instead of 4ghz?
There are no 4ghz results here, only 4.2ghz posted by vivi and others.
Hey nick i am still waiting for a pm answer.
Btw this board is getting better and better :D
So only some problems with Samsung 30nm? This normally can be fix with a new bios i think.
Not sure where i read this hear, it was written that this error appears when to much pressure it's applied on cpu by cooler and memory lanes are having problems. Not sure 100% if it was this or error 5.Quote:

Although if they work at 2200 makes no sense/ or at higher frecuency the cpu it's more sensible.
nice l0ud! :D
I will redo one at 4.2, the reason for the 4Ghz run was for a lcc on OCN
http://www.overclock.net/t/1300766/s...#post_18112404
thanks Splave, I am thinking there is something most definitely wrong with my MVE now, because it can not run the same clocks as this board.
Besides being quite powerful in memories, it seems that 2001 is also!
With only 6606mhz on cpu, and 2642mhz on memīs :)

siiiiiick score there billy! wow. welldone dude. Really rocking this board :)
Sample test with this motherboard , It's fun to play many memory ics.

Please guys...help me!
As I wrote, I'm not able to boot with 2400@mem! No matter which timings!
So...what could that be? I was able to boot it and it was fully stable. right no, I don't have any chance to come over Postcode 55! Today I tried 2600 - and it ran! After reboot...same procedure! Postcode 55! What the hell is that? I'm able to boot 2200 CL9-10-10-10 1T every time, but everything over 2200 - no chance! Please help me!
http://www.abload.de/thumb/samsung4yqq89.jpg
From the Z77 OC Formula pdf manual:Quote:
Postcode 55! What the hell is that?
So it's clear after restart the memory it's not recognized/ or it can't run at that frecuency.Quote:
0x55 Memory not installed
Have you tried with higher VTT and vDIM voltage? And may be INTERNAL PLL ENABLED also?
I don't know haw Samsung 30nm works buy if you have 1.55v at 2200 try 1.60v at 2400.
And raise also Cpu VTT at 1.1100-1.150. You have also DRAM VTT, see some setting here, put .085v or higher.
And put if it's not INTERNAL PLL- ENABLED.
On my P67 PRO3 - although it's far away to give example- the board cannot boot at 2200 with INTERNAL PLL DISABLED, only ENABLED.
Use F12 in bios, to printscreen the bios, the images will save on USB device.
Also i think that profiles from bios cand be open and saved from windows with some software given by Asrock and than you can load them to another board.
Let's make thinks easy :D
http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_00384nskw.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0039ufs1h.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0040ieshd.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0041njsgw.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0043p1scx.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0045esshw.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0046tosrz.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0047ntsoq.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/dsc_0048scsu1.jpg
SPREAD SPECTRUM put DISABLED.
You are on IGP? May be the IGP cand work well with higher frecuency memory- due to sharing memory? Have you tried with dedicatet VGA?
Also you can try to raise some voltages as i sad before.
I raised all voltages! No difference!
I'm also on PCIe.
The strange thing is...it ran with same settings as on my asus MVF. But only one time! That was prime and linx stable!
I saw GT frecuency active, on other boards i saw it inactive vhen dedicated VGA used.Quote:
I'm also on PCIe.
Postcode 55!
Here are some pictures, what they are able to do on MVF:

I'm tired of testing these chips! Hopefully my board is fine! Tonight I gonna get some XMP 2400 chips! Maybe some 2800?!
What about these chips?
http://preisvergleich.hardwareluxx.de/783302
Do they work on that board?
Tested in single Channel---NO PROBLEMS!!! What could that be???????
http://www.abload.de/thumb/unbenanntlgzrk.jpg
Same...no change!
Any BIOS Update?
I've tested 1.10, 1.14p, 1.20 and 1.30
What about these right here:
http://preisvergleich.hardwareluxx.de/815039
http://preisvergleich.hardwareluxx.de/814961
Raise SA voltage and VTT.Start with VTT,try 1.075,1.1,1.125,and SA try 0.95,1V.I am 100% positive that the problem is in this area.
Yeah, but, 2200 is running pretty fine.
After the problems with 2400, I was able to boot and play around with 2600...and that was today!
No idea, what that could be!!!
Damn computerstuff
Live@Germany...
http://www.abload.de/thumb/2400cqsb9.jpg
Now...reboot!
Back again...with full sped of 2400 MHz!
:D:D:D
Here one great score:
http://www.abload.de/thumb/wow04pjc.jpg
But...why must I raise the vtt that high?
Do I always have to raise both vtt? And what is healthy for the rig? I mean, what is the max, I can give under water for 24/7?
I can't bott with a lower vtt than 1.15!!! But when I'm in windows, i can lower it to 1.05!
1.085 i see there, not so high in my opinion,it;s pretty safe for daily use.
For booting I needed 1.15V VTT1 & 2!
Now I booted with 1.07 on VTT1 and VTT2 @ default - 1.034!
But it runs like hell! Especially with these subs :D
Here with linx running.
http://www.abload.de/thumb/linxfrcva.jpg
Great...I just came into windows with 2600 10-12-11- @ 1.64VMEM and 1.11 VTT1 and 0.96 SA
Afterwords with 2666...but my timings have been too low! couldn't run more then one aida bench :(
http://picx.xfastest.com/nickshih/asrock/Z77OCF114U.rar
New bios updated
Improve timing for PSC and BBSE with 2400~2600 memory ratio
My psc is flying now . 8 12 8 28 1t 8 86 4 4 4 16 7 2652mhz directly boot into os memory 1.835v
http://picx.xfastest.com/nickshih/asrock/2650.jpg
So, I found the problem!
@nick
the booting voltage for the vtt is too low! I think, that's the reason, why my mem's won't be dedicated.
I can boot now with vtt1 1.076, vtt2 default, vcssa 0.958.
In windows, it's no problem to lower the voltages! Booting with 2666 needs 1.15 vtt1 and 0.98 vcssa, but in windows, I'm able to lower the settings to 1.08 and 0.96.
Please have that in mind while constructing the next BIOS ;)
Little bit try for cas 7 on my PSC kits and can holder for Spi32 max at 2520MHz it cool but will try again for last new bios
btw. 1.75V Vdimm, 1.25Vsa/vtt :D
http://img.techpowerup.org/120910/pi32-2.png
i have auto rule for different memory clock speed , u dont have to set the vtt and vccsa actually .. it will raise up automatically .
Vtt and Vccsa still depends on cpu quality . some need high , some not . But it is great that u make ur memory clock boost now . congrats !
emertX, the motheboard must boot with VTT 1.050-1.057 this is Intel stock.
The memorys with higher XMP( 2400-2666) set with the XMP the VDRAM voltage but also the VTT(1.100-1.150v).
On Samsung you don't have profile at 2400 neither at 2600.
On MV may on AUTO the board set's a better VTT.
On Asrock may be on AUTO even though oc is in , the board just let it to default - 1.050v.
Or may be i missunderstood, when fail to boot your VTT was on AUTO or MANUAL 1.050V?
It's just that you have to set the voltages manual, other than that ....
Man i have to have a lot of patience, one more week and i will have the board to....:)
I have a PSC kit and BBSE kit . I hope they do at least 2600.
Thanks! So you mean, I'll have to let the voltages @ auto???
Here's a message from vita. I should give it to you!
So...I'll test Auto config now!Quote:
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your mod bios(0.31M) good work.
However, I have a problem, if I set the offset mod, LLC Level.5, takes over the board level only. 1, there is a bug?
you Would be very grateful if you could help me.
greeting Vita
Thanks!
And now my last question concerning mems :D
Which would you prefer for that stunning board?
http://geizhals.de/783290
http://geizhals.de/783302
http://geizhals.de/814961
Thanks a lot - due to some answers in the g.skill thread, there is samsung under the 2600's
for ASRock Z77 OC Formula event here you can check ton of pictures from link below
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3442941&type=3
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...7573870&type=3
from event we have some good chip it can bench 3D easy at 6.6GHz but not enough time for
more tweak or try for other benching and for max post at event can show at 6.9xxGHz screen ;)
Thanks for hard of work from you man
btw. can fix about Rapid OC for can select more Vcore limit ? it not enough for 1.7V, should be max
1. u have to enabled the extreme voltage in BIOS !
2. u have to set your own Vcore limit in the rapid OC software for some safty reason . please download from this link
http://picx.xfastest.com/nickshih/as...latool0830.rar
1. Yes already enable
2. it limit only 1.7V for max select on Rapid OC Software and for Formula drive it can setting over 1.92V but Vcore won't go up it stuck at 1.92V on CPUZ
u have to choose the limit in the drop down option of vcore limit . i can choose to 2.1v here no problem !
And if u use the early P bios to bench , u cant change it for sure . Only the new L bios here and new P bios in the future will support 2.1v on rapid OC !
OK i let checking it again later now it not on test bed, Thx for help ;)
edit : Ahhh...Okay i see on event we still used old bios 1.13 it other board with on my hand so bad for not update or checking before :(
Yah.. i hope so !!! see you too :)
