540mhz FSB of QX9650 passed 3Dmark06 now, just like my e8500 , not specially pick
540MHz FSB
faints
my god man - that is sick - way to go m8
woahh, wat settings?
upload the pictures,
a simple testing run, with QX9650, just random picked one
i boot 520FSB directly, tested 530 okay too, then 540mhz can stably
pass 3Dmark06 with Quadcores.
card was 3850CF, just default setting , don't care that, for this run just testing
how much FSB can stably pass 06
540MHZ FSB of QX9650 Passed 3Dmark06 with Quadcores
and 2:4B ratio, DDR2-1300

woah that pwns!! that would do wonders for my Q9550
who knows with a bit of tweaking maybe we will see 550/560 even eeeek
damn, very nice man! :toast:
now we need a ddr3 board to perform like that and w00000t this will be sweet as hehe
Doesn't look to bad, 540 3D stable on a quad is nice. If the VRM is good for 180 Amps, it can handle a QX9650 at 4.4GHz with a bit to spare, so that seems ample unless you want more than 4.4 on a quad, for example a qx9650 at 4.6GHz would be above the 180 Amps max.
try this one, EP45-extreme uses same ICes of PWM with EP45-UD3P
all are 6 phases, EP45-extreme can pushed my 9650 to 5.7G quad, i think
that's not far to DU3P, or even better.:)

GOOD !!!!
a little more and 20,000 marks
congratulations man !!!
How's the cold bug?
EP45-UD3P Bios detail released:
HERE
540FSB 3dm06 stable is just mighty impressive:up:
is there anything special on any slots? or am I too ASUS/DFIed haha?
Has anyone else been able to produce results this sick?
Just curious cause we've only seen one these boards that can do 650+ so far
Exactly :P I am looking for a decent, cheapish board that can 32m around 600fsb and I'm not sure just anyone would get this one that high :P
Mine just came in today...just don't have a CPU to test with LOL. Anyone mind sending me one of those nice QX9650's for a week or so???:D
Sheeesh then this IS the board for me :D Thanks alot guys ;)
i think we are gonna see a lot of 2oz boards coming in the next months :)
Any quad tests anyone? I'm now thinking either Q9450 ($249) or E8400 E0...really can't make my mind up. We know this board rocks with the duallies, I would love to see some tests with quads.
Edit: Nevermind saw the QX9650 test a page before this. Awesome stuff there, now I'm really confused!
Hi, i thought this board was a DDR2 board but it is confuzing, it says different things in different places... Plus the pic below makes mez think it's DDr3....
I was hopping ddr2 since i got me lotz....
yes its ddr2
there is still a bug in memset and CPUz reading them as DDR3
BAM, Just ordered it from the egg for 136.00
and then you get a 20.00 MIR
so in the end the board is only 116,
you got to love that.... :woot:
Have some Dominator DDR2 1250 (PC2 10000) and some Redlines I want to play with... :surf:
wow good times man
Nice man, I know I missed that deal. I got it for $129.99 free ship. Oh well, this board looks so much better in person I LOVE IT!
http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/5877/87202741oo9.jpg
wow thats a lot of stickers
lol no :banana::banana::banana::banana: heheheh
Looks an amazing board, i really need to get my Q9650 to 500fsb. Ive tried maximus formula and P5Q Deluxe so far and both wont go above 470 stable. Cpu has so much more to give but lacks fsb.
I want to order this but im slightly skeptical until i see some 'regular' users hit the high fsb with a quad.
I got a strange issue.
When I set a MCh Voltage over 1.24V e.g 1.26V the board will not boot in proper way.
It reset all to default, if I set 1.24V everthing is fine though.
What is going on ..any clue?
Are the UD3P and UD3R boards the same in terms of OC performance?
p and r are just different versions of the board with raid or some other feature i think?
so they should clock the same...
inthe past there was more than just different features that were different and P always used to be their best board
i dont know if this is still the case though
AFAIK the R only has one PCI-Express 2.0 slot, but other than that I'm not too sure what else is different between the two.
Should have one of these here very soon! Have a set of handpicked 8888C4 dominators just begging to be blown up so I'm hoping this board will be a good match with my 6500MHz E8600 :D
Measure the IHS with a k-type probe. If you are testing with Core Temp then there's a good chance your diode is reading all whack. Mine reads 17C and 19C on the cores at stock and idle in a ~30C ambient room but reads 85C with 1.35v at 4500MHz :D IHS was only around 50C if I remember correctly, need to find the sheet of results.
Hi,
the UD3R has no Ultra TPM and only Single LAN... 1 less PCI
what
you killed that nice E8600 asswipe eeeeeek
someone slap Thomas quick
@hicookie
CPU PLL @1.81v?
What CPU/NB skew did you use for that 3D run?
EP45-UD3P @home :)
This board looks really nice, can't wait to test one :D
I can't take more 600MHz for Spi 1M :( But easy boot with the memory on Cas 4 with 5:6 .
I can't even enter Windows at 500, and 450MHz randomly BSODs on two different E8600's.
I really hope there's something (very) stupid I'm missing.
I had same exact issue.
Setting CPU Clock Drive to 800, PCIe to 900 & CPU clock skew to 200 allows me to boot up to 550 but is maxed out at 600FSB.
I have had poor performing FSB wise mobo's before such as the Biostar T45 and DFI Dark and after rma'ing them both was blessed with some FSB monsters. Looks like I am going to have to do the same with this one.
any one know what water blocks work on the mosfits & chipsets on this MoBo ? I know the EK Asus3a looks to fit the mosfits
500Mhz @ 1.24V HyperPi 32M & 3D stable
525MHz @ 1.30V HyperPi 32M & 3D stable
550Mhz is hit & miss in H-Pi 32M, haven't really found the trick...voltage isn't it :D
Looks like some finesse is called for with this board.
So looking at the general results we can assume the initial posts were on cherry picked hardware.
Ok, since I was having more luck in 3D than SPi I decided to go that route, it's looping 3DMark2001 at 600Mhz 1:1 PL11 S.C with 1.56 vNB
Not too pleased with the PL11, but should be able to lower it back down to PL 10 with some fine tuning.
Once above 500Mhz, the board auto sets 1.60VTT and 1.86PLL...might be overkill :D
1.86vpll looks too high for aircooling
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=432489
it was the last test of my burned E8600 , VTT 1.55v ,vNB 1.6v. PL10
What bios are people using F4 or F5A?
sounds wicked, but 1.55VTT is ya like Pieter says
I still havenīt had any problems using very high PLL and VTTs with Gigabyte Boards.
Mine can do 615 Max only for suicide shot.
600 is possible but not for 3DMark.
Stable for all kind of benching goes around 560 only.
Maybe Im missing something.
Memory BTW is good. Iīve got 700MHz with Team Group which I couldnīt with any mobo before.
Fantastic FSB. Nice job
VTT had nothing to do with the failure of the CPU.
It was a plain and simple vcore bug that pumped waaaay too much volts into the chip while it wasnt cold.
1.55VTT is child's play compared to what i run
VTT did not kill your chip
it was vcore
Been struggling with this board for the last hour or so. I can get 525FSB to post with my golden E8600 but anything above that is an instant crash. Can you guys doing 600FSB tell me the following?
CPU/MCH Skews?
FSB holes?(I think 400-433 is bugged, never boots for me)
MCH Latch used? 333MHz is proving to be far more stable than 400MHz
Performance Enhance used? Turbo(default) works better than Disabled or Extreme
I'm using 6x multi and the following volts on the QX9650 cooler. This CPU was doing 600+FSB with the EP45T-Extreme on air and the memory does DDR2-1240 CAS4 so I assume it must be the board.
vCore: 1.30v
vMCH: 1.50v
vDIMM: 2.10v
did anybody try Oc using e8400 E0 stepping?
Mine went back for RMA to EGG .. could NOT hold any volts , clock, FSB with any consitensity , under clocked the Q9650 no matter what & yes I turn off all the CPU throttling settings , even ran everything on auto & still was the sh*t , swapped out 3 different types of RAM , 3 different vid cards , even swapped the PSU ... would not enter O/S at 400 FSB & when it did get into windows the clock kept changing every 60 seconds up/down NewEGG rma's gonna refund the mobo & i ordered another . I get it wed. OR thursday............
Has anyone tried fitting Thermalright HR-09 Mosfet Coolers to this board yet ?
http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa...s/image004.jpg
If not can someone please measure the base plate width & length of the mosfet heatsink on the top edge of the board, and any clearance gap between the base of the heatsink and the chokes.
thanks
i got my QX6850 to 503fsb @ 1.39v 4Ghz, i got my 2nd Q9650 so i will pop that in today and see if i can get higher FSB.
CPUz
isnt that 3dmark06 score kindda low..
could have sworn that i got higher with 790/1100 on a gainward GS 1gb 4870 at 4.264ghz..
oops sorry i meant to TS.
I have mine running 460 x 9 on my e8400. Will have a x3330 here this week to test.
G.Skill super PI f2-8800cl5d-4gbpi = ddr21100 (tried 4 gb & then 8 gb of each) & g.Skill ddr2-1066 & ddr2-1000 both 2 gb a stix no change on the the board with any of them , ALL still acted the same on the mobo .. dod memory test on all they passed & all worked fine on my Rampage Formula mobo's ... moBo was just not acting right from the start
Installed a UD3P tonight and at last ive managed to boot at 500FSB with my Q9650 which i couldnt get near with my Asus boards. (booted @ 515x6)
Ive left nearly everything on auto in the bios (which i read most people were doing) which imressed me but then ive just installed easytune and looking at that its raised some of voltages to scary levels:eek: which probably explains the 500FSB.
http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/8094/capturedf8.jpg
Its not stable at all, it will run prime small FFT for a few mins before BSOD but blend fails instantly.
Is this a cpu wall or some ram issue ? Im running 4GB OCZ flex 9200 ram.
