FFS!
Sorry guys. I weas about to leave for school this morning then I saw blue LIQUID ON MY DESK!!!!! Luckily, I saw it, no damage to ANY hardware. It was because I used different barbs on my Swiftech MCR320QP as opose to the Swiftech High flow ones. Oh well, just another excuse for me to order TFC360 ;) Should be here by wednesday I'm hoping. Also a new monitor is on its way
Let's see some updates dingdong555. ;)
New monitor??
Ok guys. Got my monitor, it has ONE dead pixle (is bright blue) that I can ONLY see on a black background. I'm not sure if I should take it back or not, I REALLY CBF but if you guys insist, I will :D
Anyone got a Canon IXUS90??? They're about $280 over here and reviews sound amazing. Maybe Santa might bring me one so I can take BETTER pictures for my worklog!
Thanks!
Ok all!
Well, I got my TFC360 radiator on Wednesday, installed it with 2x Feser rotaries off my mate that I got, leak testing.............. Put and paper towel around the 45* rotary and it had blue coolant on!! Another LEAK!. Once I drained the system, I looked at the rotaries and one of them had a bigger gap than the other (where the rotary bit is)
I just went back to my "Fat Boy's" and all has been going well! Temps have only dropped by about 2*C lol.
New camera is coming soon so say goodbye to :banana::banana::banana: pictures :) These are the best i could do! (FOR NOW! More coming!!)

Damn that really looks great Dingdong. ;) I really like the color of the Feser One blue coolant.
seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeex
Thanks all!
My black powder coated Serpentine Backplate has now been shipped to me! a HUGE thanks goes out to Charles and nils, those 2 guys are truly amazing.:up::up:
Also, just went to bunnings and got blue paint....hmmm.....what could i be doing do that???
I'm on school holidays now so I will "paint" something tomorrow :)
School as in you still go to school D= or do you mean uni/private college/TAFE?
If your still in school holy molly you must either work a lot or have really nice folks.
PS : Could you give me a rough idea of when Flabbergast sentiment went bad?
School as in school. High school. I'm not as old as you think ;) I'm er.....young.
All these parts have been raised by me from doing a "secret" job online (Which includes Adobe After Effects) and my job @ woolies for $8/hour. lol, slavery much??
Flabber didn't go "bad," he just had to close his store because as you know, most of his items are "pre-order" that was because he didn't have the funds to do bulk orders like Gammods. He got hit hard by the USD so he decided to close the store, most refunds have been given out but now he can't contact the peeps on OCAU that have PM'd him their details because they banned him lol. 2ish weeks ago he decided to close.
Oh so how young? Great to see you can save up for a big project
And no I didn't say Flabber went bad, rather everyone getting narky. I don't know enough to have an opinion on much. People on OCAU are pretty vicious especially with the more relaxed language standards.
Really nice job, dingdong. Looks like you have the makings of a master modder!
Hope you're enjoying your warm Australian summer while some of us are freezing in the US :)
looks amazing, could you add a dual rad on the top if you wanted?
Yeah lol, they're going nuts. He tried to sell some stuff on the FOR SALE section so he could get the cash to refund the last few guys, instead, they banned him because he owed too much money haha. I'm 14 BTW. 15 in April
Wow , thanks HEAPS! Enjoying the warm summer and warm liquid temperatures! LOL. Lucky I got a TFC360 radiator! I prefer winter IMO :)
Thanks, yes I could but it would need a tiny bit of modding and I don't have plans to do it (Don't need to)
Excellent photos dingdong...I really like the build you put together!
The ROG logo through the tubing is pretty slick IMO.

Seriously, you have a massive head start since you are 14. ZOMG, by the time your MM's age you'll have a million pcs :p:
I can't wait to move the hell out of Brisbane in 10-15 years. I melt in this weather. It's not pretty.
Not to go off topic (but I will) ... you guys stop complaining about Australian summers! I was fortunate enough to live in Australia for 3 years, and loved every minute of it ... we wish every day we were still there enjoying your beautiful country.
And ... back on topic ... can't wait to see what dingdong has in store for us.
Yeah off to Canada I go despite it being way more socialist than we are but meh, cold >> politics
yep, it's awesome, the Australian dollar SUCKS so much that it is cheaper to get liquid cooling parts over here rather than order from the US.
$1AUD = $0.66USD
3months ago $1AUD = $0.98USD <----- That was the shizard.
Second coats on ;)
One item is black, the other is blue :O
hmmmmm.:confused::confused:
Small update, I emailed Nils/Charles and wanted advice from them as they're the "Professionals" in my eyes. They gave me a few suggestions, one of them was the red heatsinks had to be taken off and they don't "go" with blue. Why take them off? I thought to myself, so I painted them blue ;) Turned out pretty much the exact same colour as the tubing under NO UV. Looks pretty good in my books, my backplate has been removed, just waiting for the MurderMod one to arrive :) (Thanks Charles/Nils) and something else "Black" is drying.....
Few pictures (New camera tonight hopefully!!!)

Your paint job looks pretty darn good ... now awaiting the next surprise.
Nice stuff DingDong! I considered painting my shields too as the red clashed but decided just to toss them. I like the blue paint though, looks great. I still see a red Maximus II Formula sticker though. ;)
Very nice indeed
nice little build, from one TJ07-brother to another!
Nice mod on the MF2 heatsinks. I myself was thinking of doing the same with mine...:D
Ok all.
My little "other" thing was the DVD drive, I have been spraying it black but the paint on the BACK (Really the only side that you see when it's in the case :( ) is cracking. I have sanded it numerous times and started again but I think it's just getting worse, I'll see how it is tomorrow but I may have screwed this one
Anyway, new camera! I quite like this photo. There is no case backplate as i took the stock one off (my MurderMod one should be here soon!)
http://i44.tinypic.com/2ylwljp.jpg
Maybe you could try the Ghetto solution I did when I painted the back on my drives!
Find some big fat black permanent marker pen that is smear proof and dries instantly. I bought my fat marker at an Art Material Shop, the pen tip was 12mm wide and ~5mm thick.
I took the drive with me to the Art Shop and asked what I could use to paint the back plastic with in the most easy way, and they were really helpful and showed me these fat marker pens.
I then let it dry for 24h in front of a table fan on slow speed, and the result looked real good later in my TJ07.
The only problem I had was to find the right marker for the job. Some markers from the super-market I tried out with first on an old drive - wasn't good.
This was 2 years ago and I don't remember the name of the marker pen, and the Art Shop I bought them from is now unfortunately out of business!
I remember though that the marker had a VERY strong smell that almost made me high :peace: and that the ink was very hard to remove from my fingers, so vinyl gloves is recommended.
So ask the Art Shops for a strong fat marker that has a good reaction with plastics (etches in) not too strong though, so that the plastic melts :D.
I need my update Dingdong - where are the pics?? ;)
When is the backplate due to arrive?
Updates are always welcomed XD.
Very soon I hope! Charles sent it on Tuesday so hopefully it'll be here before the shipping dudes knock off for Christmas!!
I *MAY* have revived my DVD drive, well....I hope so. Good news is, I got my new camera so "better" shots are due
Don't worry my friends, I hate not giving updates as much as you hate not receiving them ;):up:
Ok, Christams Eve, I got a present from Santa (aka. Charles) early. It has been opened, it was looking at me saying, "OPEN ME NOW."
Thanks Charles/Nils, amazing guys!

My DVD drive MAY be dry soon so expect more updates then. Sorry about the long delay for updates!!!
Anyway! Enjoy!
if I don't get to post my next update before tomorrow, Merry Christmas all! I hope Santa comes! :p:
*drools
put that :banana::banana::banana::banana: on and lets rock and roll
Nice! Let's see that bad boy on the case! :D
the reason i love these cases so much is because of how versatile they are, seen so many unique and different mods on them, keep up the good work :)
w00t3rs :D My crazy Australian friend now turns into m.m.m.m.murderm.m.m.m.od. Merry Christmas :)
Thanks :)
Hahaha, Nils..... You're a funny guy! Meeting you in real life would be awesome  I'm happy to "represent" the "family" :)
I am going away for 2 nights with my family so final shots will come then (or maybe this morning IF i have time)
I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC Christmas! Stay safe all!
Aww shucks, I was hoping to see some great shots of your beautiful build. Guess I'll have to wait a few days. Enjoy your Holiday ... I believe you're already celebrating Christmas, while some of us in the USA are still awaiting the sound of Santa squishing down the chimney.
Here are a few not so shabby pictures. I was in a rush, as you can tell. the red PCI cover that I circles, I can't find ANYWHERE!!! I am a n00b at cameras so please bare with me :) :yepp: I am also going away today for 2 nights so better pictures will come once I get back :D Again, i would like to thank everyone for their kind comments, Charles and Nils for everything they have done and all the other inspiring work logs on here!
Merry Christmas all!

Everyone got a TJ07, me so jealous.
Fantastic work dingdong! I've really enjoyed seeing this build progress and getting better and better every step of the way. That backplate looks really nice, I must admit. It seems like every time you are done with the build, you step it up a notch. What's next? :)
Great work DingDong!! - that backplate looks wicked!! I knew you would love it. Well Done
pics the pump plz. !
DO IT
Thanks BA, I have REALLY enjoyed your log to, it has inspired me as mine hasn't been, "1,2,3 = done" mine has been an on going mod due to limited funds. Thankyou for your kind words my friend, much appreciated :)
What's next? Fark.....I would LOVE to sell this and do another case ;)
Thanks Dangals, it's nothing compared to your case ;)
Soon! Just got back from a holiday :)
Well, too many people said, " SHOW ME THE WHOLE CASE NOW," so i guess I have too :) These pictures aren't the best because
1) The window on the case reflects EVERYTHING!
2) I'm a "photo-n00b"
3) There is none.
Happy NEW YEAR! Bring ON 09'!

Looking, great! And you're pics are getting better and better. It's hard to take a good photo of the black cases, especially when there are reflections - I think you did a nice job (on the photos and the Build).
And ... to ask the important questions -- does it perform like you want, and are you happy?
That's stunning, Shazza is right. Your photos do get better with each one :)
I just noticed how you mounted your hdd, how did you manage that?
Thanks!
You know those gold things that you screw into your motherboard tray in which the mobo screws into? well I got 2 of them, screwed them together, got another do, did the same thing, then I screwed them into either side of the hard drive and THEN put it in place > Screw into the 5.25" bays. :) (If you understand that :) )
Verni nice looking clean and sweet. Maybe you are thinking about the BS fittings?? It will be look great in your WC i think :]
wow!
dingdong, i'm curious about your cable management...how did you get to keep the wires tidy? any pics on the back?
oh did i say, wow?!
what an awesome final result, looks good:up:
Thanks! Compression fittings you mean?
Haha, free and simply ;)
Thanks man! The back is not as clean as I would like it to be, mainly because of all the molex connections I have!!!
To make it so clean, you have to cut a piece out of the mid tray. Takes about 5minutes :)
Thankyou!
hi just read this entire log and liking it! very similar to mine actually, and almost an exact copy of what i intend mine to be like (eventually!)
and you are a similar age to me! and it was your first WC attempt...LIKE ME! AND I JUST GOT A NEW CAMERA TOO! WTF! scary....
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=TJ07&page=11
mine is in this thread just below yours! its pretty sloppy cos its unfinished!
i would also like to see your ninja-like cable skillz at the back.
good work dude!
one suggestion...if you have access to a pillar drill (at your school for intance) then get some smoked acrylic (or transparent black...its the same thing) and replace the stock window with a dark one. it looks much , much better.
I like TJ07 and murderMod
The TJ07 it a perfect case and legend of all PC case :D:D:D
The trick now for the rest of us is to do something as nice or better with something else ... :D
As for me I am trying it with the Temjin TJ09 and my "Arctic Breeze Way" See linky in sig
Charles has said that the TJ09 case is on the short list at Murdermod ... but when that will be is anyone's guess, including his!
Great setup Dingdong. Your case has come a long ways and I'm glad you're happy with it. Lovely pics too.
Really nice job James!
I have 3 little suggestions.
I'd remove the plastic edge protectors from the holes on the midplate - not needed IMHO.
Mabe paint the GPU IO plate.
I find those teeny zipties kinda look like a portly dude in a speedo - Mebe go with ones a bit thicker for visual balance. Like a dude in a speedo, I get the feeling that those you've got look like they may pop off at any moment. :ROTF:
Great work! :)
LOL!
Thanks for the tips Charles, the white protective things, yeah....I was looking to paint them but I may just ditch em' because paint will peel.
Speedo's - LOL! I'm in Australia! it gets VERY hot over here! Yeah, I shall swap them though ;)
GPU plate = That's on my "To - Do" list. I just want to sell it so I can do another one! I'm craving to do another build!!!
Glad I have ;)

How did you afford this again?
parents.. lol. no jk jk.
Very nice looking, I can only hope my next build will be anything close to the look of these cases.
BIG UPDATE!
My case is sitting in about 20pieces next to me, I'm giving it an overhaul.
I just ordered some more MurderMod parts (Thanks Charles).
My plan is to get a new graphics card, do a dual loop with the CPU/Chipset in on, GPU in the other. I don't want to give too many secrets out yet ;)
Powdercoating the case should be done as soon as the MM parts get here, after that, I simply have to wait a few weeks so I have enough funds to order some stuff from the US.
I will be starting a new worklog as soon as some parts arrive and I decided on a name :yepp:
w00t3rs :D
you photoshopped that bus...right!?
also, are you changing mobo?
Looks like it ... I am taking Photoshop now in college and I bet it was an easy thing to do. But it gets the point across, right? :D
hey dingdong! great to see u r abt to update ur wrklog! urs was one of e first i read with enthusiasm in XS!
cheers mate!
STUNNING....SIMPLY STUNNING!
Sorry if the question has already been asked, maybe i read over it if it has. How have you mounted your 2 HDD's? Are those just longer screws? Do you find any vibration / noise resulting from the way you mounted them?
