VTT 1.65v for 666 . But it s DDR2 board, maybe it s different with DDR3 version.

^^ Thanks man. I have both versions of extreme with me. That is a bit scary VTT.. but I think 610 is boring so will try to push :P
Hi all ! With Intel P45 chipset, i see almost need more CPU VTT n PLL voltage ! Is there problem of giga P45 mobo or Intel P45 chipset ???
Not more, only the right balance
any idea where to get new bioses, f3b ?
Ygpm :)
I also have some Problem with the DDR3 Extrem Board to reach high fsb . Under Cascade i only can do fsb 570 Mhz ??? Bios F3b i also tested with F2 but no luk .
Bootscreen i can do Fsb 640 but no change to go into Windows .
I hope to have no big probleme with this mobo and Kingston HyperX .
Just big FSB.
To all the people clinging to this "high VTT will kill your CPU (because i read a thread of a thread of a thread that someone i have heard of has killed a CPU and seems to believe it was VTT responsible", so far there have been absolutely zero reported dead CPU's from using these high VTT on these P45 boards so far. Food for thought.
Im not saying its not true, but with over 50hrs benching at these high VTT on P45 im not convinced
T_M is the only difference between the GA-EP45T-DS3R and GA-EP45T-Extreme the watercooled northbridge? Or does the EP45T-Extreme have better caps/etc
edit: Nevermind I can see just from looking at pics the DS3R has totally different socket area.
Ya ! Can anybody setting 1T option for memory ?? Or 3T ^_^ !
I only have 1 one option "2T" !
AFAIK the 1T setting hasnt been fixed yet, but i havent tried any BIOS higher than f3b yet...
i recieved the P45T-Extreme but i need going today , i test i think this week end :)
i'm sure to be putting that suggestion through :)
asking for bioses takes a long time. even longer to get here when we could get it ourselves.
There was nobody when the deliverer came home.
I hope find the P45T-Extreme this evening at my back.
But I've no good memory ,just Pc10666 gskill for test some FSB boot.
Normally , Pc14400 is in delivery.
Edit : @home :D
Edit 2: First boot 500Mhz ,jump to 611Mhz with Set FSB
full air cooling.
Strap 400Mhz
Ram 1:1 my Gskill :(
Vcore 1.25V
Vdimm 1.55V 9-9-9-25
Others on Auto.
Edit 3 : 665MHz of FSB & 650MHz SPi 1Mo
Why has the DDR3 Version no CPU Reference options in the bios, like EP45-DQ6 or EP45 Extreme?
it does, they're just hidden, hit ctrl - f1 from the main bios screen, then they'll appear :)
Are you sure?I know this option from older GB Boards but here nothing happens.
Thats what i can see,it looks like i can scroll more down but there is nothing.
Flashing one more time f3b and back to f2 but makes no difference.

I'll double check on my board tonight, pretty sure they show up
But why not here :(
Advanced clock control section is the closest you'll get atm
Muah,so what now,has it "CPU References" right now or does it come later?
finally , today i test my EP45T Extreme :)
First test with my Q9550 (WR) just on Aircooling !!!
For the moment , i test with the bios origin (F2) , i wait the news bios béta without the vdroop enormous with the Quad Core !!!
Impressive Fsb on air , it's better with my Biostar TP45 HP (521mhz on air) , maybe broke 560x8.5 under caskade or LN2

http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/6858/526x85bj8.jpg
I have too the Screen a 536/537x8.5 but the database of Cpuz is Out today :)
Nice one with a quad :)
What are your settings and have you "CPU References" in the bios?
Can you make a screen?
CPU Reference does not exist in the current BIOS.
Why are you so desperate about that minor setting?
CPU Reference helps a lot to get my quad over 475FSB primestable.
Its like GTLs on DFI Boards.
The P45-DQ6 and Extreme DDR2 Version has it,why not this one?
Spread the word:

Thanks m8.
Thank T-M
i received my first E86 today normaly :) but i need test my Q9550 too !! :D
My Valid with the Bios F2 on aircooling at 1.5/1.52v :

just got this BIOS too. Will test it tomorrow
I can get over 600 stable with f3b, but i hope F3c can get the RAM dividers working!
Gigabyte BIOS engineer didnt realise we didnt have this BIOS yet, so i told em to start spreading it
Thanks Tim. If I get a chance will try it with my E84.
Thanks for the BIOS, will try it with the E8400 in a second. Do the memory dividers work? Sick of running the 1:1 divider :(
Yes, the memory divider works fine, but some of them can't work properly. I can get 900 Mhz (DDR3-1800) with 1:2 dividers and stable, more than that it gives me blue screen  and i can't change the Command Rate. Runs 2T even if you change it 1T in BIOS. Will post the screenshot and FSB achievement soon.
K, command rate never worked so far and I've had DDR3-1800 7-6-5-18-2T working once for about 30 minutes before I screwed up a setting in F3B. Hopefully with another BIOS revision or two we'll have DDR3-2000 working with command rate. Need to finish writing a review before I can play with the new BIOS
Presumably you guys are getting those RAM clocks on quads?
Try running a dual and anything other than 2.00D, thats where my major problems are.
No.. i'm running it with dual core E8400. Below a screenshot...

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=398783
someone else tried F3C and 3:4 ? I tested all and i find that is best one for high ram clock > 600mhz fsb.
I try it and i'm stuck at 600mhz fsb  http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=398795 . Any special setting to reach 630+ mhz fsb Thomas ?
Another screenshot, shows memory dividers works fine :

Oh, only 500fsb.
Try higher?
Now another:
F3e
http://www.fileshost.com/en/file/54883/EP45TEX-F3E.html
What is latest beta bios? That F3e?
So what does it change?
Damn, am I blind or something?
I cant find that PL setting from bios and no CPU GTL settings.
PL is under RAM timings per channel, and CPU GTL settings dont exist in the BIOS
Hmm, Under what name?
I have serious problem with RAM dividers, only 2.0D works for me nothing else even posts :(
We benched the other day, bios f3a was the most stable one, f3c was really weird! Didnt try the new f3e.
We managed to reach 670FSB on a E8500 again and again, so it might have been bios related.
Max FSB on the QX9650 was around 525fsb, and a 32M at 500FSB was not a problem, we didnt use much time here, so im sure the board is capable of more :yepp:
More pics and results here (post #8 + 20) , sorry for the danish :p:

So which one is "the" bet bios now?
So many questions Bulldog, but have you actually tried stuff out for yourself?
No only fiirst bios relese shortly and then directly to this F3e.
This is my best CF stable shot.

Same thing with F3c, no other than 2.0D work :(
Edit:
WTF?? I did put strat to auto, now other 400MHz dividers do work.....
Weird issues.
That works also ^^ And i think that the best meme ratio for 600-700mhz fsb :D
IT's F3E
EP45TEXTRÊME (Bios F3E)

Oh ! Nice FSB Pt1t, but, how about ratio 2.00D ?? N how about CPU Volt PLL when u set it auto !
Ok i've got three beta bios ,i test that soon ,and i put one two stages on this week-end.
I'm using the F3E bios, All air cooling on a stock board.
I'll take it sub zero at some point this week, but for now, on air it can do 668fsb
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=400916
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/9...3mhzmemas3.jpg
You can validate with 630MHZ and bios F3E ?
When i'm around 630MHz ,cpu-z can't read the good FSB. :( With Cpu-z version 1.46.2 it(s same thing :(
Pt1t has same problems but higher 670MHz
great going Deanzo:up:
Deanzo : nice FSB on air cooling ! How about your voltage ? (PLL, VTT n NB )
I thought I had killed my retail GA-EP45T-Extreme but I tried it earlier this morning and it booted. I plopped in my brand new E8600 and managed this with 20 minutes of testing. Can only get the board to POST at 500FSB though so I had to setFSB up to 6GHz. Managed 6300Mhz so far with 1.84v in BIOS, 1.808v idle and 1.77v under load. Was done with an F1EE with a -104C base temperature. I had to dash out of the house so the entire setup froze over with the pot at -9x Celsius so now I'm drying the board off. Later tonight I'll try to get 6.3GHz 3D stable  This board is really nice with the right BIOS!
congratz T_M nice fsb with air will you try waterchiller on nb or ln2 :d
this board loves High FSB for Quad core.

New Bios out , F3i
I can boot and do 1M to 600mhz fsb with DDR3 to 1000mhz 7-6-5-15 :D
http://www.overclex.net/data/images/...me_600_3_5.PNG
Now are we talking...
The ram speed on the 3:5 on this board is not real.
(Just look at Deanzo's screenshot above if you want to know why)
Can it do that on an X48 with the 1:2 divider? ;)
old x38 screen , http://www.pt1t.net/DDR3/Everest_500X8_1_2_CL2.PNG
and other x38 , http://www.pt1t.net/P5E3DLX/P5E3_500...L7_Everest.PNG
same vdimm of 2.1v
i tested also 3:5 > 1900 6-6-6- on EP45tExtreme , and it crashed like on X38 board :D
2000 is easy, 2200 is impossible. And note that your read bandwidth is so much higher at only a 500MHz FSB on X38.
Chances are the 3:5 divider on this board is actually a 2:3, and your ram speed is 900, and not 1000.
Edit: I'm aware it doesn't clock goofy high with CAS 6. However 1100 CAS 7 is impossible. (For the record I have sticks that do that as well on this board, but on anything else will do "only" 1030 or so)
Nosferatu, if you can still scope this board, this would be a very good situation to test.
Yep, there is something really odd about the 3:5 divider.
@ 1:2 1000Mhz cas 7 is very hard work with these sticks.
@ 3:5 cas 6 I max out around 860Mhz
But on the 3:5 divider cas 7 @ 674fsb it will screen 1123Mhz (DDR3 2246)
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=404042
When I get time later today, I'll be trying the 3:5 divider on my P5Q3 to see what that does.
Hey mate, nice to hear from you...and thanks :)
Thanks
Pll 1.84
Vtt 1.6
Vmch 1.55
Grabbed new BIOS, will test it later tonight. Was having terrible problems last night going above DDR3-1800 with F3E, hoping F3I will let me drop some nice numbers.
Any other changes in this F3i bios?
Still cant seem to get the board much over 600FSB without it locking.
First Test under SS :
http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7568/5630on9.png
I c'ant go over 595 fsb
most attempts if you look >600 are in single channel, at 595 your probably near enough that pointQuote:
I c'ant go over 595 fsb
Single channel allows me to go 600 to 604
On the P5Q3 I maxed out @ 626fsb 1043Mhz (DDR3 2086) with the same settings on the 3:5 divider, even that seems high to me, but it was very unstable. took a number of goes just to get the F7.
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=404468
I can do 650fsb on that board, so it's not that holding it back.
Hi, Bros,
3:5 400mhz Strap of all intel chipset is incorrect. due to chipset divider limit
for other strap (200/266/333) 3:5 runs correct ratio & frequency.
3:5 400 Strap should be 2:3, not 3:5
if you are running 600Fsb and chosen divider of 3:5 400 Strap
Frequency of memory is 900mhz(DDR3-1800), if 650FSB,mem is 975mhz
Hicookie
Thanks for the confirmation hicookie. I quoted you and put this in a separate thread so it gets noticed.
Heh, needs to be fixed ASAP!
702FSB Both Cores and Dual Channel.
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=407805
Theres more in it, just got to work out the right combo.
dunno how your pushing that fsb, on older bios i was able to push 640ish fsb on my 730+fsb chip, but on this bios im struggling to get into windows at like 580...
I have only managed to get 620MHz FSB with my board. 625MHz is max to post but it freezes.
someone got vdroop mod for this board, could be nice for 3d06 single?
