woaw ! terrific GG there, can it boot (just boot) at 500 ? and or bench via setfsb with such an fsb ?

Thx xt0m, then I got great hopes for my Q6600 http://images0.hiboox.com/vignettes/...e3cb6de8b1.png except that it needs lots of volts under water in this case. (L728A861-vid 1.2000v)
Hey you guys having that mobo, what was the bios at the VERY first boot? Mine is 0115. On asus support I only found 0201. What about you out there ??
Can someone upload the 0115 bios? thanx
ok, I might push it to its limits before upgrading then :yepp:
A question to all, about an eventual incompatibility with OCZ ddr3 gold series speed 533 Mhz cas7-7-7-20@1,5vddr...is it still so ? doesn't it change with the actual newer bios ? ( I have those :p: )
@OverClocker_gr: If I do save it to a floppy or so before you get it, I 'll upload the .rom file. but i doubt it lasts soo long before you find one
If you can :)
I cant find it on the net :(
For me the 0115 is the best bios for FSB
On nb i have the fusion block from the maximus formula.

Found it.
It was in the cd provided with the mobo :p
Thanx anyway :)

you mean 600*6?
I dont think that its possible :(
I did the 1m for "stability" not for the number :p
ok. :)
does anybody knows the pll in use for setfsb ? :p: muchas gracias
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=109
Second pic :)
the 0401 is better for high speed rams but not for fsb.
With 0115 i am able to boot at 600 but with 0401 no luck :(
Stuck around 530-550
@ToyTen
here you go :)
http://img364.imageshack.us/img364/1...toyotenux2.jpg
thx a lot man! atm I boot at 550 fsb and spi4m passes allright :) soo different from GA-X38T-DQ6... amazing in deed
I search for my reference... beback soon ;)
here you go http://pix.nofrag.com/5/e/2/2b25a664...032204bc8.html
some parameters differ from you to me, but what I got is quiet similar to your score.
indeed its quite similar.
But with 1m its hard to do a comparison ;)
yes and for exemple of complication: how is your system optimized for that particular bench? mine was a bit tweaked, not much.
My actual results on the seach of max spi1m for max fsbhttp://pix.nofrag.com/7/3/5/47ba8231...dfb58020tt.jpg and max fsb: http://pix.nofrag.com/7/6/b/64f7b569...639191e1tt.jpg
If I don't reach 600 fsb tonite (3600Mhz at that coef6) I'll post later after getting some sleep yo
hm,i did and a 32m run.
I m not fully tweaked for pi but there is a lazy 32m pi
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2959/32m3600mv4.jpg
When i was trying to reach max fsb the mems were @ ~850-880
@ 1-1 maybe i ll go higher.
http://pix.nofrag.com/7/3/5/47ba8231...dfb58020tt.jpg
I found this in emergency :D
it was still with my Gigabyte X38T-DQ6
hy
great results he have here
i canīt get more that 570 on mine simply dont boot but at 550 is fully stable with 0401.
someone ask to the compatibility with the ocz gold 7-7-7, i have one of those and the max achieved was 1340mhz at 8-7-7-20 and more than that is no go wont boot
with the gskill HZ is a complety different story and iīm very glad with the performence\price of them.
Yep jpcastro, I asked for that incompatibility issue and with the initial bios 0115(which i will keep for some time again), I don't meet any issue atm, Thank you to answer to that ;)
EDIT: Well !!!!!! I was wrong, the reason to my mistake is that i am only trying to get the max fsb at first, then no need to increase ram frequency... I'm f****d too
@jpcastro... do you use Vista or XP (32bit) ??
check your inbox
i use VISTA 32bits for daily use and another disk with XP 32bits for benches :)
very good ! :woot:
Is that the max you got? looks promising man :)
would I be jalous ?? :p:
:D Received my G.Skill 1600 GBHZ today:

1.94 Vdimm
1.36 Vtt
1.52 Vpll
1.45 Vnb
1.20 Vsb
0.80 Vcoc
Very stable 1T & tRFC 60 (!!!) - only 0.02 Vdimm more than the blue Cellshocks, but almost half the price..........;)
BTW - if You have the feeling somthing is a bit unstable or You have probs during boot -----------> lower the Vpll.
With 1.54 I had reboots sometimes, with 1.52 it's perfect stable.
:welcome:
vnb ~1.75
vpll 1.64
vfsb 1.48 - 1.46

static and dynamic disabled
oki doki, that's very kind from you :) plus thats not bad. I did put 1,77 vnb to get my 591/~3 fsb, should try tolower it then.
I've been told that such a vnb could damage components(as for vpll on wolfies), but as long as we (want more) do not pretend to stabilise the system at such fsb frequency lol, 'should be allright yo!
Keep pushing man
Look.
I have water on vnb so its *cool* the 1.75v.
If you are on stock air its too much the 1.75.
Maybe with lower vnb you could go higher cause of temps ;)
And at 600mhz i m with single channel.With dual channel i stuck at 597 :p
Did someone found the vcore and vdimm measure points on this card ?
:D Here're some BIOS shots for You - running E8500 @ 8x500 & G.Skill 1600 GBHZ @ 1GHz:

:welcome:
thank you Camou', ain't mothing like a picture ! ;)
uau thanks for the screens camouflage, i´m gonna test the HZ again to see if i also can have 1T stable.
another thing did you test a Spi32 for example? i had to rise de vdim to have stablility but also made DDR2000 with 1,94v 2T
0115 :p
I'd like to test other bioses, but is it for sure that I will be stuck way under 590 fsb?
And an interresting thing: If one looses fsb ability, isn't it interesting concerning other things like more easy NB straps or more options in bios or again better Ram OCing/compatibility ? or whatever else ??
Could other happy owners of this board report their experience in bioses comparison in that way? (more or less fsb seems to meet everyone's agrement, but the other things mentionned above in this post? )
from a little test of 0401,its better for high ram speed.
With 0115 i m not able to use the 1/2 divider.
With 0401 its ok, BUT.. 480 and 1/2(rams @ 960) i am getting errors on memtest86+.
500 and 1/2(rams @ 1000) its error free :/ doh
i ll test the 0201 soon :)
ok, that's a good thing, accepting to loose high fsb then :/
thx
I received Corsair XMS31600 4GB. The ram doesn't like high voltage (up 1,96-1,98v) and very high frequency but works 1800 C7 1T :D

Could you make the 32 at 4Ghz or 3,6ghz please ? thx
Zonk :)
xm..
Man this is for P5E3 Premium.
Here we talking about P5E64 WS Evolution
should I give it a try while playing & benching on 3870X2 ? cuz I hardly enough left the original bios, so, .. :D
:confused::confused::confused:I have a strange issue - with BIOS 0401 (didn't test anyone else so far) I can only boot 1:1 divider (i.e. 8x563) or 1:2 divider ( i.e. 9x500) but all other:( dividers don't work for me....:( - it doesn't even boot....:mad:
So I wonder why I can't run higher RAM speed @ hi FSB.............
Anyone else with the problem? Is it a bug of the 0401? How about 0115 ???
Thanks !
:welcome:
Sav, please please post detailed settings and more extensive stability testing at DDR1800. I can still not get my 2x2GB 1800 MHz Dominators stable for even af few loops of SuperPi 32 M with loose timings. xt0m have been very kind to provide me all his settings for FSB 450, DDR1800 but these settings are not at all stable on my system (of course with an appropriate CPU multiplier corresponding to what I know my CPU can handle).
Man I had a pair of those sticks you are using when I still had my dreadfull SIIE. I have to figure out whether my memory og the user is faulty
Where can this board be purchased currently...I'd ike ot get this for my new phase build...any help?
:p:
google ?
as i said few posts before.
If you want fsb go with 0115 ;)
here you go
http://rapidshare.com/files/121112003/P5E64WSE.ROM
its the original 0115 bios from the asus
Sav, which slots do you put memory in the blue or the black ones? I just read a review of the memory I got (see sig): http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mem...800-4gb_2.html in which they write: "these modules will only work in black DIMM slots on ASUS mainboards". I put my sticks in the blue A1, B1 slots so I will test the black slots when I get back to work. I will give an update to this ASAP.
Linkfix?
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mem...-1800-4gb.html
Yes exactly, thanks for fixing the link (what I am refering to is on page 2 http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mem...800-4gb_2.html).
alo again
made some more tests after seeing camouflage results and still canīt have 1T simply freezes on POST or reboots when windows bar appers :(
donīt know what else to do, even with loose timings and at default SPD is not stable and all problems disappear if i use 2T very easy to push them after that.
also with the dividers is the same problem, 1\1 and 1\2 nothing to say but if use another divider donīt boot
lets wait for new bios revision it seems 0401 still very green or in this case very blue :p:
SaV good to see those corsair 4gb sticks, next month iīll probably buy and upgrade to a 4gb kit but for now just wanna wait and see the kits avaiable in the market and choose one that works fine with the mobo.
Putting the memory in the BLACK slots DID the trick. At least I completed a 32M SuperPi in the first attempt at 450x8.5 DDR1800 after changing the memory from the blue to the black slots. Need to tweak and test much more to truely stabilize but I am very happy since when using the blue slots I never came close to finishing this simple test irrespective of CPU speed.
I have also Memtested at 421x9.5 for 16 h and Primed for 5.5 h without errors before changing the position of the memory so I have high hopes of finally stabilizing at (at least) 450x9 - we will se if I succeed.
I will post settings when I can claim they are stable.
I bought MotherBoard that X48 got on and five pieces were bought.
The goodness was Evolution.
0501 is tested tonight.
http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/1...0967ff3.th.jpg
Board flashed and up and running again. No visible differences in BIOS that I can see but have to admit that I have only glanced through it after flashing. Started some OC'ing to see if 0501 BIOS is more FSB friendly for my Quad but initial findings seems to indicate less clockability. Will experiment more lately and try some more Volts. Please prove me wrong... :)
After some more testing it seems that there is nothing wrong with BIOS 0501 as compared to 0401, which I found very stabile. It also seems that at least SuperPI is benchable on higher MHz with 0501 than 0401 as I now managed to run 1 Mill. at 4,909,5 and also managed to CPU-Z verify at a higher frequency as well (4.983MHz). All runs on my 24/7 machine with a :banana::banana::banana: loads of processes running in the background and with no tweaking of disk or Vista Ultimate what so ever.
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=373611
thanks for the info. i will update to 501 tomorrow :)

These are my settings with the 0115
For later bioses you must NOT set the fsb strap to Auto.
With these settings i can use the 2/3 and the 5/8 dividers(1744 - 1857)

you can set the strap manually with the old bios :D
:D Thanks for the infos guys - will help a lot.

# Sav,
My experiences with my 2x2GB Corsair memory (1800 Dominator, see sig) with respect to running them at DDR1800 are:
1) It is mandatory to use the BLACK slots.
2) Use the 333 FSB strap to NB.
3) I advice to use Memtest 86+ v. 2.01 to test when tweaking for the right settings - errors will come fast (especially test 5) and you have a good idea what is causing the errors.
4) 1N is possible.
5) You need 1.5+ NB voltage (and I suggest active or watercooling on NB).
I have spent a LOT of time (and godwill from xt0m, thanks) trying to run DDR1800 stable. I wasted a lot of time Priming (e.g. 7 h stable blend test that suddenly would give an BSOD at ordinary use) at settings that made errors within few minutes in Memtest. Therefore I will not yet brag about beeing stable at that speed. However, now I have found settings at 9x450, DDR1800 cabable of completing at least 2 full passes. Tomorrow I will tell if it is truely stable in Memtest and then I will Prime to see whether the settings are stable in Windows when the CPU is loaded as well.
I'm sure you can't wait until tomorrow to se my settings so here they are (even though I can not claim they are truely stable yet or the voltages can not be lowered):
BIOS 0501
Multi: 9
FSB strap: 333
FSB: 450
PCIE: 100
DRAM: 1800
CMD: 1N
Primary timings: 8-8-8-25, the rest Auto
2nd and 3rd timings: All Auto
Dynamic and static read/write control: both Disable
CPU: 1.4625
CPU GTL: 0.65
PLL: 1.5
FSB TV: 1.4
NB: 1.55
NB GTL: 0.61
SB: Auto
C O-C V: Auto
LLC: Performance
Hope this will help you and others struggeling with 2x2GB memory.
****UPDATE: The above settings are Memtest 86+ v. 2.01 stable for 8 h+ (18 full passes) so at least the memory is stable. Priming at the moment with the same settings.****
Mine was playing up today on bios 501. Max fsb on my E8500 on multi 7 = 580fsb. Wouldnt boot 400fsbx9.5
Going to try my Kingston sticks over the weekend. Think the bios still need a few updates
The settings that were stable in Memtest was not stable in Prime95. Right now I am Priming with the following settings (changes in bold):

PCIE: 100

***UPDATE the above settings are at least 12 hours Prime95 (small FTT) stable, now testing Prime95 blend.***
you re welcome :)
