is this pen gold plated or something everyone seem's to want one lol :)
Once it used to be status in how many you'd collected but lately just getting ONE cuts it.
Oh, come now... you guys have chewed through over a thousand pens in the last couple months. We even have colors other than blue now!!! (...and then there are the mix 'n match pens that Quoc and I piece together... )
But, yeah, colors other than blue!!!!!! (sorry, that's kind of a big thing for me :D )
One of these days I ought to hold some sort of contest involving all of the pens that we've given out to XS members.... just have to figure out what to do...
Anyway, no word from D-Tek yet as to when we can expect more nozzle kits. I know that they have a bunch of the nozzles in their warehouse... it's those pesky gaskets that are causing the hold-up now.
I look forward to the nozzle kits and the pens. Good to know the secret of the pen now :) Lets see.... I've got green, blue and purple, can I request a red one to match the nozzles?
Anyways, I'll be watching for the nozzles. I stalked Petra's site for quite a while trying to score a Thermochill radiator so I think I've got it figured out now.
ROFL on my first build i have 2 pens one green and one Orange, they work great just like the parts i got from you guys.
I'm happy with the way Quoc looks after me. Pens are just sugar on top.
Hell PTS stuff arrives at my place in the same time it takes a nameless other US outlet to get around to shipping.
Lets see. 4 pens. 2 blue, a green, and a green/orange.
I'm a server at Chili's and use them at work. Perfect for when Halloween rolls around.
Did I mention that the green and the orange ones are UV reactive...? :D
i've gotten 2 petra's pens and both are blue. first one is blue/purple with dark clear plastic. the second is what i guess is the newer style petra's pens (not the same style as the first pen i got from them) in clear blue.
if i could pick which color i could get next, it would be green :)
love the uv pens lol
The green reacts?!? I'll have to get that from my locker.
I fitted the quad nozzle, and "O" ring this morning. They seem to work for me.
Q6600 (G0) 3.6 1.41 Vcore
Pre Fitting. all cores maxed out for 1 hour, small fft's, and readings from Coretemp.
61 60 57 57
After fitting, and allowing the machine to warm up alittle. Again 1 hr of small fft's
58 56 52 51
I might try the 3.5 nozzle next.
I'm more than happy with the results. Last week I bought a new duel rad and got no improvement.
i got 14 pens from petra and 6 are the nice ones with gold/silver rings XD
Nice results there... If the newest blocks isn't that good, I might pick the Fuzion with a set of nozzles for my quad.
Wow.... SUPER results... try out the 3.5mm to see if there is any difference...
Thanks
no fair.. no pen T _ T
hey guys if u need some this place got them
http://www.directcanada.com/products...%20Customs
no pens tho :-(
I want 2 Petra Coffee mugs... 1 of course for my coffee and the other to hold my pens...
Got my pen and Dtek Fuzion yesterday :D
Replaced all my tubing too since it's not easy to see the water level, much less see what condition the water is in when using that blue UV tubing.
A whopping 8c-10c drop in temps!
any other result's with the quad nozzle?
No nozzle, yet. I think my Storm may be dirty or clogged though I have not taken it apart to look, but I can see some discoloration in it. Definitely wasn't a mounting issue as I've tried many different AS5 application techniques.
One thing that 'could' have had an effect is that my 120m rad had 3/8" fittings and I used adaptors to mate it up with my 1/2" tubing. As it turns out, the fittings from the Storm fit the MCR120 rad after cutting about 1/4" of thread off, so now my system is completely 1/2" throughout.
I don't know how much impact mixing that 3/8" rad into my loop had overall since I run dual pumps anyway, but I am very pleased with the temp drop and have to attribute that to the Fuzion.
Umm, yeah from Storm to Fuzion on a quad and 10c is easy.
Ok..USPS first class from Cal. to FL..2 days!!!!
But Alex taunts me with no pen...WAWAWAWAWA:yepp:
Gotta love the service:up:
Got Mine in today, now when my Iwaki gets here Ill be in business :)
On another note, has there been a full review posted of the fuzion + nozzle yet?
is there only 1 nozzle for us quad core users?? The rest are for single die, dual core CPU's?
would those (nozzles) fit gt ?
What is the deal on these? There has not been an update in the thread in 2007...
Are these still good to have on your Fusion CPU blocks?
I'm waiting for the data/tests on these before i decide it worth tearing down my loop.
Yup, iv just recieved my new dtek fusion and nozzle kit - im waiting to see results for the 4.5, 3.5 and quad nozzles on a quad core before I dismantle my loop and replace my old storm....
I can only take my loop apart once, so the nozzle needs to be right for best temps the first mount....no swapping nozzles when new evidence comes out for me...!
There's plenty in Canada. Only problem is it'll cost $20+ to ship to the US.
still hoping for a complete review on these
Received my nozzle kit from Petra's but will wait to do a tear down.
We've only got 5 left. Amazed at how fast these went. Some people are even ordering them from the states for $25 including shipping...
I've got mine in now, as soon as the bleeding is done i'll post some temps. However I won't be able to do a full before/after scenario. Before, I had one loop consisting of: PA120.3, DDC2 w/ Petras top, Fuzion, MCW60. I've now moved my CPU to a MCR220 w/ Panaflo FBA12G12M-1J fans. I can tell you that before, my temps loaded were 37 core1, 39~40 core2. The TC now has the 8800 GTX and the 680i NB on it so we'll see how the temps pan out.
With all these people waiting for results one what nozzle to use and no one installing them, no one will ever get them in. But I can't complain because I am waiting too. :-)

Alright i've got mine in and running. I'm using the 3.5mm nozzle and like I said above, I can't give you a before/after picture. But right now idle temps are 24/28, load 37/40. That's with a little air in the system, and the MX-1 hasn't cured. Ambient 78F, and 1.328V @ 2.66 Ghz w/ a E6420. This is a very quick and dirty startup, i was just anxious to see how my new setup ran =D. More accurate temps and stuff in a few days.
Waiting for the other guy to do the testing is a bit slack.
Damnit, I should've just ordered these when I saw them in stock at Petra's a a couple days or so ago. I had no idea they'd be such a big hit.
Yeah I went ahead and took the plunge, $5 product, $12 shipping =/. Anyways, i think it was worth it, temps seem to be doing good. Offtopic, what else is out there to monitor VGA temps, BESIDES ATItool, Rivatune, and Ntune. ATItool and Rivatuner don't like my 680i for some reason, and Ntune is a POS. Anything else out there that's halfway reliable?
any word when the new shipment is coming in petra?
I am having no luck OCing my VGA on this board. Ntune and Rivatuner worked for a minute but now not only will neither one of those OC the VGA, but Everest no longer displays VGA temps. I think it's a registry thing, but I dunno. No matter, I'll be just fine OC ing my CPU when I can Finally get my hands on a set of nozzels. I love Petra's, but if Sidewinder sends me that email notification and PEtra's is still out of stock, I'll have to go for it.
Whenever PTS gets them in again, they'll be getting an order for another set of the nozzles and another Fuzion.
http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/
prob about $8 shipping to US
Sidewinder got some nozzle kits in stock yesterday, you guys might want to look there.
If they did, they are keeping it a secret:
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/dtfunoackit.html
Maybe Gary hasn't had a chance to update his stock yet, but he did reply to my email indicating he's got around 10 kits. You might want to drop an email too.
It has out of stock, but if you click the 'Order Now' button, it has in stock 'YES'!!
I just ordered a set...
I got mine!! Woo Hoo.. :D
sidewinder is $6.99 compared to petra's $4.99. I think i'll wait for petras just to spite the 2 dollar price gouge..
Well if he only has 10 or so kits in, I don't mind the 2 bucks.
I just want to get a set headding for the house. ;)
petra has them in stock???
I Have mine pre-ordered.... hopefully they saved 1 for me.....
Does anyone have any results on quad yet? Besides the early results?
Nozzles in stock at Petra's! I got my order in, you guys can :fight: for the rest!
Petra's FTW!!!
I just hope I get the pen/s I asked for.
Will i have to pay the 6.99 ??? i already paid for my order petra will i be charged the original pricing?Quote:
New pricing per D-Tek is $6.99--I just didn't have a chance to update our site yesterday. We should have more nozzles arriving today, though.
cheers
:) kkQuote:
You already paid... This isn't a retroactive price increase
i just ordered a set for myself. i'll be using the nozzle for the quad and i would love to give results but i wont have time until i get some sort of a vacation from school.. thanksgiving? :(
btw guys, for shipping use usps first class. it is 3 day shipping for under $2!
Guys, Petra's is a class act and is worth waiting for restocking.
Nozzles arrived. Good old Quoc, ever reliable.
No bloody pen though.
How about putting the pen and a coffee mug up on sale at the site? Seems the only way I'm going to get one. lol

Gap issues is told to be fixed with the nozzles too..

lol, oh well. i'm getting the nozzles for $8.56 w/ shipping.
Do they have Petras mugs? I want one!
Mine's arriving this afternoon. Can't wait to see what the hoopla is all about. I'm going to be real busy on my wife's machine tonight.. QX67, PA, 2xD5. Is it true that quad core cpus get only one option.. the quad split nozzle?
awww what???!!! i want a pen !!!Quote:
Right.... he gets the nozzles at $4.99, BUT no pens for him!
lol :)
i think petras needs set something up with cafepress so we can get a mug/ tshirt fix
