Yeah, but with so many typo's how do you know you are reading it right ?! :D
He never mentions SuperPi but I think you are probably right having said that. Hmmm, so is Penryn 5% or 10% faster than Conroe at SuperPi? That's quite a large MHz range to be able to calculate.
Food for thought.
Regards
Andy
Andy
it is no secret what Penryn does with SuperPi
Coolaler forum had results up a while ago 1M at same Mhz is crazy fast but i thought it was just the extra cache UNTIL i saw the 32M run as well  :D
So what are we looking at, 5.5GHz all-cores-working quad on a tripple stage? :D
if my calculations are not wrong i would say he is roughly running at 5.2-5.3Ghz :D if around 8seconds flat :D
based on shots like this
http://forum.coolaler.com/showpost.p...0&postcount=80
and roughly 400MHz jumps in Spi 1Ms/1second
if they are floating around i know at least mate of mine that will get his very soon :D
oh boy the droolage begins :D
a few hours left
The demo is Tuesday morning.
hmm but can you say, or are you allowed to say it's unlocked multi chip?:D
Its unlocked and I will be posting benches here on XS.
Prepare for heavy traffic Tuesday.
there is gonna be more "wood" in the moscone center than yellowstone.
good luck FUGGER. can't wait till tuesday for the update.
I have a light, but noticeable sweat on my brow and my eyes are wide open staring at this thread.
I cannot wait to see how this little flower blossoms with a pro at center-stage.
*Subscribed.

i am interested in the coldbug more than anything else so bring it on Charles
ace come on - tuesday
fantstic posts Fugger truely made me laugh
i got a funny look from my boss!!
Man....you really know how to heat up a thread....
My guess is that AMD wont like this bench session a bit....
The Phenom may be passing to the dark side of the Force, once again...
Well, it's not too late for AMD to call someone to bench Phenoms at the official launch.
I just don't think that it would be a pretty sight under LN2.
im guessing that the updates are going to be posted here right?
/waits in eager anticipation
Fugger, any chance of a sneek peek, just one bench to wet our apatites? If you do, I will admit on behalf of Britain that Hamil beat Bisping.(I know as a fan you would have been p1ssed at that result)
Deal?
not to hijack but hamil didnt win watch the fight again but w/o the commentry hamil barly threw a punch in the 2nd round it was a poor showing by the both of them but does deserve a rematch as neither of them are good enough to touch the title yet
Fair play mate but I watched that fight as a big bisping fan and at the end I was shocked it went the way it did. I have watched it over several times and still think it was a close 30-27 Hamil. Also no matter if you opinon differs from mine or not, you got to admit it is time to change the scoring system, how can one judge score it 30-27Hamil and 2 score it 29-28 Bisping:mad: ????
Should be a fun next few months.
So when we gona see this thing available for retail
Congrats on being featured at IDF this year, Fugger. I'm pretty excited to see benches from your awesome rig! If you see Paul, tell him his stockholders say 'hi.' ;)
Fugger is running Quad Phenoms. I know, I seen the setup today.
Oops....typo.

So,.... it's 3.11 AM Tuesday here, what are the specs? :3
2×AMD PhenomFX4 FASN8? Ooops, typo... We all know you'll be running the new
VIA Epia SN with the Chrome IGP, don't know what you're trying to hide

Its 1008hrs and a Tuesday here..... :D

looking forward to the benches
waiting is a hard job :)
So it's 4 pm here in Germany... I don't want to wait any longer...
19th of September here  :D
I think people are just waking up and drinking their morning coffee over in San Francisco.
yup you could say i'm ahead of time :D
i find it really amusing that Intel is going to have a psycho overclocker :D pushing the absolute limits during Otellini's presentation :D >>>> i wonder if intel is also doing to this to "push" the idea of overclocking with their latest motherboards since they've started seriously putting effort into that recently
lol can't wait to see charles get a hard lockup right in the middle of Paul's speech :ROTF:
tic-tac....tic-tac.... tic-tac.....
I´m losing my mind here.... :peace:
Someone end this torment please.... :frag:
I bet Fatality is waiting in some dark corner with a BFG..
Thinking about his revenge :D
Everyone is extremely excited for this information.
Hopefully Fugger is able to post and everyone gets their wish fulfilled.
Good luck Fugger, keep us posted. Watching the beginning of Paul's keynote right now from the Folsom campus. :)
Edit: Niiiice, couple of WRs there :) Berrrrrry niceeee. Was that Harpertown?

Charles Wirth, owner of XtremeSystems.org is on stage. He's an overclocking expert. He breaks records in Super pi 1m, Aquamark 3, and Cinebench 10 32bit. He has pushed the quad-core processor to 5.56 gigahertz, he says. He's mentioned that he's running the chips at 160 below zero to achieve the overclocking. (You can't exactly try that at home.)
A 5.56 GHz Yorkfield? Sick!
http://www.intel.com/pressroom/kits/...7/webcasts.htm
Can be seen at noon P.S.T
According to the schedule, Otellini's address, "Extreme to Mainstream" (we know who's representing the 'Extreme' segment :D ) was from 8:30 to 9:40 AM Pacific time. So it should be over soon if not already.

Go FUGGER Go FUGGER Go FUGGER Go FUGGER :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
any word?
I heard 3PM EST...another hour maybe
Your WS6 and your Chevelle are mad at you for driving a FORD...Especially a mustang...That would be the same as you suddenly deciding to use nothing but AMD, no matter how much faster Intel is. Of course you wouldn't admit that Intel is faster because you are using AMD. (If you know any hard core ford people you will understand this, if not I prolly look stupid...oh well). I'd love to see pics of that Chevelle.
Back on topic now. Anybody know when the demo is over?

Intel is showing an air cooled penryn quad core
overclock on their x38 chipset at 3.85 Ghz in the
demo area. They claim it's an ordinary (not cherry
picked) 3 Ghz part. It is running at 1.456v.
Results of FUGGER's presentation already at AT... :D

nice stuff! anybody got the times?
We need to know times and scores!!!
It went perfect, 10 world records reset today.
10x reduction in gate leakage = more speed with less volts
we will soon see 6ghz 45nm overclocked parts.
I will post images later today, some I don't have saved on usb drive
The current pi we is 8.40 seconds
294 am3 with iq and no video card overclock, well over 300k tweaked
Ill post more later
Congratulations Fugger for all those Wr's :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
and a congrats also for intel for making it possible...
Awsome. Awsome to the max.
Wow...I feel sorry for AMD...:shakes:
Looking good!!! Cant wait for one of those to fall into my hands.
Penryn + X38 is definetly my next combo upgrade :woot:
Needless to say, you made some friends at Intel today!
Interesting to see intel use overclocking up and in front to market the new chips.
Maybe they aint so fast then ;)
Awesome looks good for next gen. Kinda unfair nobody else is able to bench with them.
Some nice pub for old XS!
Certainly with results like this Intel has my attention for the first time since s478. Kudos Intel!!!
The DFI-Venus(Its been one hell of a ride) will be auctioned off and replaced with DFI-X-38 or DFI-Nvidia offering before the new year.
btw I'm keeping the Bleepin Venus Coffin Box...ALL MINES!
Awesome toys FUGGER! Way to represent!
I think Intel is trying to get enthusiast crowds attention. They know that AMD was very popular with the people that wanted the most out of their chips and now Intel wants to corner that market also. They know its a growing sector and they want it.......thats all.
